Some stuff I wanted to add after reading some of the comments, particularly regarding the thieves' guns and lmao P3 guy has Armageddon. I think the idea that the thieves' guns won't work in this fight because they're 'not real' is totally missing the point. Of course they're not real, but in the metaverse (which is where they're fighting) they totally work as guns because the enemies believe they're guns. The more intelligent response to this is 'they don't work because SEES/IT could tell they are fake', which is very possible however you have to remember these are extremely lifelike guns, so much so that Iwai is getting himself into some shit for selling fake guns that look so real. If I shot you with a gun that looks real and for all intents and purposes shot a real bullet, your first instinct wouldnt be to stop and think 'this is a fake gun.' And even if they do somehow figure out they're fake, Goro was clearly extremely well aware of the fact that their weaponry is all fake (he uses a fake gun himself when he's in his Crow outfit), yet in the boss fight against him the guns work completely fine. It's fair to argue that Goro was losing his mind (he totally was) or its just a gameplay thing, but either way if a guy who factually knows the weapons aren't real still gets hurt by them then SEES/IT most certainly would. As for the other thing, I totally just forgot I wasn't trying to undermine my boy 3-kun. It's extremely weird to try and figure out a mechanical damage wipe like that, since in a not turn/damage based fight like this it's difficult to figure out how deadly this would necessarily be. Obviously its an absurdly potent attack but how big is its range? Maragidyne is an attack that hits 'everything' but theres no conceivable way it has an effective range of 'the whole fucking arena', same thing applies for Armageddon. And if he does do it, are his teammates safe from the utter destruction he would unleash, or is this going by pussy rules where teammates cant hurt each other? Plus Armageddon uses every single bit of his SP, so if he does use it he's gonna be fucking tired. It's a pretty weird situation to try and figure out so I guess it's up to your interpretation, if you think Armageddon is a wipe then P3 wins, if not then the results are about the same. Ok thank u.
Actually if P3 main character use armageddon then Futaba will just flip her middle finger in his general direction and use her definitive barrier move that negates all incoming damage (And can stop the attacks from Yaldabaoth) soo Armageddon isn't much of a thing against them, also Futaba can re-arrange reality inside the metaverse creating advantages when the Phanton thieves are surprised which gives them the oportunity to use an All-out-Attack and she continuosly buff and heals everyone during fights.

Speaking of guns, i cant help but think that one factor that could make the SEES be exploited is the fact that they need to shoot the evoker before calling the persona, its been showed multiple times in P5 that the PT is very accurate and precise with their "cognition" guns and they could easily take 1 fighter off from the SEES by stripping/shooting away the evoker as they are predictable in the placement because they need to shoot the head so it becomes incredibly vulnerable to be shot down from his/her hand and without the evoker a SEES member is now less agile/atheletic and cannot use the persona, now it can be argued that aigis doesnt need one or mitsuru and akihiko wont be dumb enough to let that happen but i can see that happening to yukari, junpei or ken
Trashboat21 Actually if I recall correctly, it is incredibly difficult to summon Personas during the Dark Hour, which is why they use the Evokers. Also Fuuka made a side comment that she can use her Persona in the real world, this implies that Persona’s are able to be summoned in the real world, but we are not shown how they do so. And in Persona 4 Arena when Mitsuru was going to use her Evoker, before she pulled the trigger she was able to summon Artemisia. This in turn means that Personas can be summoned without an Evoker in the TV World. Assuming we are going by the same rules that means either every Phantom Thief, Investigation Team, and SEES member need an Evoker, or nobody needs one.
godzilla4189 I would say the PTOH are more like a mix of chaotic good / neutral. Because the organization itself is chaotic good, but the people in it are mostly chaotic good or chaotic neutral. Except for makoto who is neutral good and goro who is neutral evil.
Not really. Law is more about following a specific code of ethics, rather than actually just being a law abiding citizen- For example, Makoto would be lawful good, rather then neutral, as she joined the PTOH in order to defend her ideals. Chaos is more just about personal freedom, like with Ryuji or the P5 Protagonist, without restricting what you can do. It's kinda like how Lucifer in SMT would still be of the law alignment, based on his strictly followed beliefs and his way of acting. The investigation team is probably closer to neutrality or chaos.
I can see all of them being a bit chaotic. They are always fighting the majority opinion of humanity. In P3, it was the wish to see the world end. In P4 it was the wish to avoid the truth of the world and leave it hidden away. In P5 it was the wish to escape responsibility for their own actions which translated to having their lives controlled by someone else. If majority opinion is the law of the world, then chaos is the means to resist jumping on the bandwagon. In that sense, then all teams are chaotic good.
P5 has MC and Pancakes Wildcards : Saying not fair P3: also has two Wildcards one being the person Who controls the world and a toaster who gets the wildcard aswell from loving electricity from Minato outlet
At least Aigis is relatively the same strength as the other SEES members. Meanwhile Akechi SEVERELY overpowers all the members of the PTs individually.

The IT feel like real people stumbling into this situation, and that's part of the reason I think P4 is my favorite of the 3. The characters really carry that game. But yeah they don't win this fight if we're just going off of P4. At least in P4A they seemed like competent fighters, if inexperienced.

Phantom thieves lose because yusuke starves to death, morgana puts him and joker to sleep, ryuji gets fucked up by everyone in the phantom thieves for trying his best, futaba is too much of an introvert to go out in front of the other teams, makoto stops and sides with aigis as they’re both robots, ann gets mad at ryuji and leaves and haru doesn’t have screentime so she can’t fight
Kevin Delgado Well Fuuka’s Ultimate Persona Juno has the skill Oracle which can grant a lot of beneficial buffs to the party, but much like Teddies Ultimate Persona skill Kamui, it can be detrimental since it can potentially reduce HP and SP down to 1.
I forgot that most people only played p5, rise can does that in p4 too and she was op in p4, she could buff the party basically every turn in a battle and her skill were strongest than Futaba and she could discover all the weakness with a single skill, and her persona can tranform in three different form if we count the 3 canon spin-off. Futaba is basically nerfed version of rise in p5.

Didn't Ann bust out of metal restraints during her awakening? She's probably got some level of superhuman strength. (Honestly, it seems like all of the Phantom Thieves except maybe Futaba are superhuman physically. They can do Joker's crazy parkour, Makoto's temper tantrum during her awakening breaks the floor of the bank, Ryuji's already been brought up, etc.)
@@jorjorbanks8876 It's quoted in the P3 Movie that entering the Dark Hour with a Persona increases your physical abilities greatly. It's not hard to imagine the same goes for the TV World and the Metaverse.

He does get druged and physically abused in the police station. The only instante that what we see is happening to his shadow is when Akechi shots him and ONLY if we chose to not sell out our team mates in the interrogation with Sae. If we do she leaves inmediatly and Akechi kills us so its game over becouse we dont get to trick Akechi showing him the phone and getting him into Sae's palace, where Akira's shadow is. Hell, when Akira gets back to Le Blanc for the reunion best girl Makoto even tell us she cant belive what the police did to us and the critical part of the plan was not spilling out the beans during the interrogation cause of the truth serum-drug kind of thing that we were injected. So yea, Akira has hella mental strenght regarding critical life or death scenarios.

P3 is the only protagonist to use 2 personas at a time so he's pretty damn strong and I think goro should be in it cause keep in mind aigis is somewhat a wild card user in p3 until fes and they have shinji whose a tank, better fighter than kanji, and has no weakness except a kid and a bullet from a hippy Jesus

For final boss feats, let's not discount the fact that the Phantom Thieves KILL the God of control. Not as ridiculous as the Universe, but still keeps the investigation team at the bottom

but keep in mind they dont necessarily kill nyx, nyx just says "fuck you" and instantly heals back up, and then the p3 protag seals them away with the power of god, but a ground rule in this fight is no ultimate protag persona's
A lot of you are saying p3 is weak because they couldn't kill but only seal Nyx away. I can't say we have an accurate description of SEES' power because Nyx is above all the most powerful. It isn't even a god it's... something else that erases gods. Gods reach out to Nyx to use its power. Nyx isn't something you can kill. So at the very least you shouldn't dismiss the p3 team because they couldn't kill Nyx. I'm very certain the other teams wouldn't be able to either... Nothing can. The best you can do is hold it off.
But the thing is Yaldabolth might have been the same strength as Philemeon. I mean considering he is the one that created Akechi's persona which was a part of the game with Joker.
Nyx can’t be killed you can’t defeat death and that is what Nyx is death itself, they sealed her to reduce the damage she was causing because most people where having suicide thoughts and it made Nyx more stronger. Sealing something as powerful as Nyx isn’t as easy or insignificant as other people make it seem. Saying "he couldn’t kill Nyx just seal it" make it seems like they where weak and that was the reason they couldn’t kill it when in reality Nyx is unkillable. Do you think Joker or Yu could seal Nyx? I highly doubt it, Makoto/Minato is the only one that has managed to get the universe arcana so far which is the strongest one. Igor words regarding the universe arcana: With this newfound power... You may be able to defeat the one who cannot be defeated. What you have in your hands is the power of the Universe... ...Nothing is outside the realm of possibility for you now. Izanami and Yaldabaoth are nothing compared to Nyx, she is basically an alien known as the "planet eater".

Futaba can also hack aigis, which is also a high priority, not quite top but still. between assists, she can disable aigis. once SEES and the investigation team start fighting, the phantom thieves avoid confrontation as much as possible until Futaba either permanently shuts down aigis, or, preferably, hacks aigis onto their side to fill SEES full of bullets like what almost happened on 11/4. the investigation team is already dead by then. If not, Futaba uses aigis's body to fill the investigation team with bullets, which aigis was probably going to do anyway, and it's slightly less depressing that shooting your own team.
You do realize that Igor used the last of his power to send Morgana to guide the player. Even if it didn't work out exactly as planned...without Igor they still would have been fucked.
I hate to say it but theoretically there are two outcomes assuming Goro's power could do this obvious possibility he gets rekt like last time in which case everyone wins second case and what I would attempt myself in his situation not make my self go psychotic but everyone would go psychotic meaning everyone loses because even if he is the only non psychotic then he will get destroyers but if everyone is then all main characters will kill everyone then kill each other prob joker wins or maybe sees actually if it was just main characters who would win? Persona 3: Minato (Cannon name), didn't offically kill Nyx, only the avatar. However, S.E.E.S is real strong and Minato has 2 main persona. S.E.E.S is smart enough to plan out stuff. they do experience fighting persona users, and Fighting investigation team Persona 4: The Invetigation Team did fight powerfull foes like Ameno-sagiri and Izanami. However, the only ones who who do think and plan are Naoto and Yu. However the do have experience fighting S.E.E.S, plus could dance all night Persona 5: Now the Phantom Theves are smart enough to do successful heist, hack all of Japan. They Successfully Killed the God of creation, Saved the world and have experience fighting persona users, and Satanell Persona 3: Hard fight Persona 4: Good game Persona 5: Would dominate I Have played all three persona games listed and has gotten true ending for all. Goddamn, I never realized how weak the Investigation Team was compared to the Phantom Thieves and SEES before... Also, am I the only one who wants a Persona game where your team is an a coliseum of sorts and you have to fight your way through other teams of Persona users (maybe in a tournament setup or something)? I know the Arena games sort of had something like this, but I'm talking about with the main RPG format. I can't really see something like this being a mainline Persona game, but I could definitely see it being a spinoff or as a special dungeon in one of the main games.
Well yeah, but that was only 2v2 battles that were kinda restricted. I'm talking full-on 4v4 match-ups with each of the teams having their own unique abilities or gimmicks or whatever.
Multiplayer battles could be cool too, although I initially dismissed the idea because I'm imagining they'd usually end in one player just wiping the other, simply due to the fact that player characters in Persona are generally balanced around fighting enemies with much more health than yourself that also don't have as much of a variety of skills as you do.
**Phantom thieves are going through a palace when SEES shows up.** **The two groups are questioning each other.** **The tension is building between the two groups** The Investigation team rides in on scooters.
I think SEES is being underestimated here. For one, they fought in the most intense environment. The Dark Hour had the same physical drain that the TV World has, but it gives the smallest boost. It just allows more persona power/abilities than non Dark Hour time, but not even on the level of the TV World. Evokers are needed only due the Dark Hour being more harsh, as in the TV World they had no need for them. Meanwhile the Metaverse flat out gives the Phantom Thieves more abilities and options. We haven’t seen SEES or the Investigation Team operate in a similar environment. SEES also has the strongest individuals. The biggest advantages the Phantom Thieves have are Futaba, Morgana, and Joker. Everyone else is normal, and Door-kun’s solo fusion spell ability should put him on the same level as Joker. Aigis alone is a massive powerhouse, and most of the SEES members should beat most Phantom Thieves in an equivalent one on one. Plus, Fuka counters any kind of stealth the Phantom Thieves may use. The Phantom Thieves strategy relies on Joker and Morgana. Those two are the brains of the operations, without them, the rest of the team loses a lot of their tactics advantage. While SEES has weaker overall teamwork, each of them function well in isolation. The Phantom Thieves also had the advantage of scoping out their targets and taking time to plan. SEES didn’t get that opportunity, they had to wait until the full moon and improvise every time. They didn’t even have a Morgana or Teddy with built in knowledge, they were working almost entirely blind until near the end. They also have several characters that can fill the leader position in case Door-kun can’t, with Mitsuru, Akihiko, and Aigis all capable to lead. SEES is extremely adaptable. Overall, a lot of the things that make SEES look weaker are muddy. The Dark Hour vs Metaverse, the operating blind, the more individualistic members, and console limitations (flat PS2 environments vs the extremely stylish PS4 stuff) severely muddy the comparison. Phantom Thieves may still win out in the end, but I think SEES definitely has a chance.

aigis cant be hacked thats been implied to be impossible with hee circuit board being destroyed in p3 the answer and continues to operate. also futaba can only hack certain things like phones and websites if she could hack anything she could have gotten the info from saes laptop instead of needing Makoto to get it for her. safe to say if she cant hack a laptop she cant hack a top secret government killing machine
aigis is the equivalent to a robot with its batteries taken out. there should be no possible way for her to even operate yet she does anyway. also aigis has never been hacked outright at any point aside from when itsuki took over here which was when her circuit board was still intact. its heavily implied that while aigis body is a machine her ability to have the wild card shows she has her own soul and is not just an A.I(her "brain" is an A.I not a cpu) and she can still use her robotic functions in addition to that. futuba hacking into airwaves via her computer is not the same as hacking into a super advanced machine made by the most secret portions of the japanese government. also you need to remember futaba cant hack things instantly and if aigis could be hacked it would take a very long time to hack into an A.I that has more advanced technology that she never has even seen or heard of.
Charielity they stated in this video that they are only not counting the arena versions of the games. that means she cant be hacked. and again even if futaba could hack her good fucking luck as aigis has broken out of hacking through force of will making hacking her useless.
Mechanics wise Persona 5 wins due to having more type coverage and being able to dodge nuclear energy, and survive that one big bang equivalent burger attack, and if we count dlc's the P5 protag has all of the protagonists non ultimate personas and some other unique ones.

she won't be able to use the mech parts of her tho. Futaba is a quick thinker and learner she will realize that her grasp is fading and just over heat to the max on the robot parts.
Futaba can literally hack people’s cognitions, that allows her to just give the finger to anyone if she decides to. Getting ambushed? Nah, YOU got ambushed by US! Reaper about to kill a Phantom Thief? Hah, he wishes! Her hacking skill would be such that Aigis would be SEES biggest weakness, even if only for a few seconds. And that’s not even going into the idea that when Futaba hacks Mementos, she’s hacking either Yaldabaoth’s or the entirety of Tokyo’s cognition.

In one stream a dude had to face the wrath of Yaldabolth with of his damn sins and did his ultimate move and the streamer was just like "Fuck this I've had enough of his bullshit" and was playing on very hard and then Futaba Final Guard kicked and it blocked it. The streamer and the chat went ballistic.
venomcuregaming Tatsuya remade the universe on his own, and has enough mental strength to maintain his sense of self in the Sea of Souls (a place where you are everyone and everyone is you). Mental strength is directly proportionate with Persona power, so that makes Tatsuya stupidly powerful.
P5 is my favorite cast, but the P4 team caught a serial killer without all the government's support and a team of about 6 or 7 people in high school; they're not stupid at all.

The phantom thieves figured out how to cheat death and then caught a man who had all of Japan under his thumb not to mention the literal yakuza crime lord that they caught before the police
For Goro Akechi, I believe he solo’d the palaces by being sneaky and assassinating his targets. And if this is the case, it’s possible for him to be sensed especially by Fuuka, who specializes in sensing life, especially shadows and personas.
He specifically said "tear through" when talking about shidos palace, i think he'd do both but would more often then not kill any shadow that had the misfortune of being near him
at the end of persona 3 fes the answer aigis is said to have her circuit board (basically what keeps a machine alive) completely burnt out, meaning that she can't be hacked. But if you're just using the journey version of aigis then she probably will be hacked
Aigis has been able to override her programming at multiple occasions plus she runs off an ai powered by a plume of dusk which is essentially a human brain inside a piece of the death god nyx. Also Futaba just installed a program to copy sae's hard drive, thats simple stuff.

Plus you gotta remember Sho didn't hack her, he had a button that he presumably got from an old research facility, that forcefully overrides her to use as an output device. It's likely something that was explicitly programmed into her from the start. Also let's not forget that Labrys also overrode that function thanks to her shadow.
Good video, but you guys didn't really talk about how each team handles battle. In the investigation team and the phantom thieves case, Joker and Yu call the shots and can execute whatever battle plan they need to. However, P3 guy can't really do this. He may be SEES leader, but in combat, everyone just kinda does whatever they want without any cordination between party members.
+sageky Yeah in portable (which is the latest version of p3) you control the party as the leader. So I guess it's the most accurate and makes more sense since Minato/Makoto is the leader.

So, my personal breakdown would be... Protagonists - Door-kun (Universe Arcana and has the ability to form fusion spells, Armageddon and Infinity are on their own OP, could make it even more OP if we went by Portables rules and have them be usable items with no drawbacks) > Joker > Chad Narukami Support - (from the perspective of combat assistance) Rise > Futaba > Fuuka Mascot Character - Morgana > Teddie > Koromaru (Unless you consider Aigis the mascot character in which case I say she beats Morgana) General team composition - Phantom Thieves > SEES > Investigation Team Now... One thing we could do is include the velvet room assistants for each protagonist to see how that would effect things, in which case Velvet room assistants - Margaret > Elizabeth > Lavenza Another thing to consider is ultimate personas in which case I say... Ultimate Personas - Investigation Team (Naoto has shield of justice which blocks ALL damage for the entire party, Chie has Dragon Hussle which buffs the entire parties attack, defence and hit/evasion, Yukiko has Burning Petals which deals severe fire damage to all opponents, also its worth noting that their 3rd personas allow them to absorb the element they are strong against, and the Investigation team also has special team moves such as Yukiko & Chies and Naoto & Kanji's) > Phantom Thieves > SEES
If the Investigation Team had only 1 Ultimate Persona, they would have a much better chance, since their Ultimate personas are SUPER good! They would straight up win if they all had their ultimate personas, and if their wild cards were the only ones without their final personas, then the investigation team has a very decent chance of winning.

Ultimate persona: phantom thieves Ryuji and Ann can provide full party charge and concentrate. Yusuke and makoto can give full party Heat riser and Debilitate. Futaba can also use full party healing + Revive. Satanael can also Kill gods with his bullets.
After Royal this becomes even more imbalanced since the phantom thieves get Akechi back as an official member and thus should be on there team in this and they also get Sumire and while she’s the same level as the other regular thieves that isn’t Joker/Akechi/Futaba she’s still an extra member to help. They also all get tier three personas with OP abilities and there the only team with access to traits.
Aigis and Junpei mow down everyone except for Akechi and Joker, Aigis is quite literally the terminator who can also use multiple personas and Junpei is pretty much a budget Wolverine from X-Men who can regenerate and has a persona that's fused from two different personas.

I just realized something from watching a play-through of the Persona 5 dancing game and that I have a renown light of the P5 group and Futaba as a Navigator that she is a million times better than Rise because during the Social Events of Mona and hers that she can sense they are not alone and can sense the members of SEES and she even has a conversation with Fuuka. Rise couldn't even do that heck during P4AU she needed Fuuka's help to see through the red fog to sense her own team members.

Some stuff I wanted to add after reading some of the comments, particularly regarding the thieves' guns and lmao P3 guy has Armageddon. I think the idea that the thieves' guns won't work in this fight because they're 'not real' is totally missing the point. Of course they're not real, but in the metaverse (which is where they're fighting) they totally work as guns because the enemies believe they're guns. The more intelligent response to this is 'they don't work because SEES/IT could tell they are fake', which is very possible however you have to remember these are extremely lifelike guns, so much so that Iwai is getting himself into some shit for selling fake guns that look so real. If I shot you with a gun that looks real and for all intents and purposes shot a real bullet, your first instinct wouldnt be to stop and think 'this is a fake gun.' And even if they do somehow figure out they're fake, Goro was clearly extremely well aware of the fact that their weaponry is all fake (he uses a fake gun himself when he's in his Crow outfit), yet in the boss fight against him the guns work completely fine. It's fair to argue that Goro was losing his mind (he totally was) or its just a gameplay thing, but either way if a guy who factually knows the weapons aren't real still gets hurt by them then SEES/IT most certainly would. As for the other thing, I totally just forgot I wasn't trying to undermine my boy 3-kun. It's extremely weird to try and figure out a mechanical damage wipe like that, since in a not turn/damage based fight like this it's difficult to figure out how deadly this would necessarily be. Obviously its an absurdly potent attack but how big is its range? Maragidyne is an attack that hits 'everything' but theres no conceivable way it has an effective range of 'the whole fucking arena', same thing applies for Armageddon. And if he does do it, are his teammates safe from the utter destruction he would unleash, or is this going by pussy rules where teammates cant hurt each other? Plus Armageddon uses every single bit of his SP, so if he does use it he's gonna be fucking tired. It's a pretty weird situation to try and figure out so I guess it's up to your interpretation, if you think Armageddon is a wipe then P3 wins, if not then the results are about the same. Ok thank u.

Actually if P3 main character use armageddon then Futaba will just flip her middle finger in his general direction and use her definitive barrier move that negates all incoming damage (And can stop the attacks from Yaldabaoth) soo Armageddon isn't much of a thing against them, also Futaba can re-arrange reality inside the metaverse creating advantages when the Phanton thieves are surprised which gives them the oportunity to use an All-out-Attack and she continuosly buff and heals everyone during fights.

Speaking of guns, i cant help but think that one factor that could make the SEES be exploited is the fact that they need to shoot the evoker before calling the persona, its been showed multiple times in P5 that the PT is very accurate and precise with their "cognition" guns and they could easily take 1 fighter off from the SEES by stripping/shooting away the evoker as they are predictable in the placement because they need to shoot the head so it becomes incredibly vulnerable to be shot down from his/her hand and without the evoker a SEES member is now less agile/atheletic and cannot use the persona, now it can be argued that aigis doesnt need one or mitsuru and akihiko wont be dumb enough to let that happen but i can see that happening to yukari, junpei or ken

Trashboat21 Actually if I recall correctly, it is incredibly difficult to summon Personas during the Dark Hour, which is why they use the Evokers. Also Fuuka made a side comment that she can use her Persona in the real world, this implies that Persona’s are able to be summoned in the real world, but we are not shown how they do so. And in Persona 4 Arena when Mitsuru was going to use her Evoker, before she pulled the trigger she was able to summon Artemisia. This in turn means that Personas can be summoned without an Evoker in the TV World. Assuming we are going by the same rules that means either every Phantom Thief, Investigation Team, and SEES member need an Evoker, or nobody needs one.

Not really. Law is more about following a specific code of ethics, rather than actually just being a law abiding citizen- For example, Makoto would be lawful good, rather then neutral, as she joined the PTOH in order to defend her ideals. Chaos is more just about personal freedom, like with Ryuji or the P5 Protagonist, without restricting what you can do. It's kinda like how Lucifer in SMT would still be of the law alignment, based on his strictly followed beliefs and his way of acting.
The investigation team is probably closer to neutrality or chaos.

I can see all of them being a bit chaotic. They are always fighting the majority opinion of humanity. In P3, it was the wish to see the world end. In P4 it was the wish to avoid the truth of the world and leave it hidden away. In P5 it was the wish to escape responsibility for their own actions which translated to having their lives controlled by someone else. If majority opinion is the law of the world, then chaos is the means to resist jumping on the bandwagon. In that sense, then all teams are chaotic good.

I forgot that most people only played p5, rise can does that in p4 too and she was op in p4, she could buff the party basically every turn in a battle and her skill were strongest than Futaba and she could discover all the weakness with a single skill, and her persona can tranform in three different form if we count the 3 canon spin-off. Futaba is basically nerfed version of rise in p5.

He does get druged and physically abused in the police station. The only instante that what we see is happening to his shadow is when Akechi shots him and ONLY if we chose to not sell out our team mates in the interrogation with Sae. If we do she leaves inmediatly and Akechi kills us so its game over becouse we dont get to trick Akechi showing him the phone and getting him into Sae's palace, where Akira's shadow is.
Hell, when Akira gets back to Le Blanc for the reunion best girl Makoto even tell us she cant belive what the police did to us and the critical part of the plan was not spilling out the beans during the interrogation cause of the truth serum-drug kind of thing that we were injected.

A lot of you are saying p3 is weak because they couldn't kill but only seal Nyx away. I can't say we have an accurate description of SEES' power because Nyx is above all the most powerful. It isn't even a god it's... something else that erases gods. Gods reach out to Nyx to use its power. Nyx isn't something you can kill.
So at the very least you shouldn't dismiss the p3 team because they couldn't kill Nyx. I'm very certain the other teams wouldn't be able to either... Nothing can. The best you can do is hold it off.

Nyx can’t be killed you can’t defeat death and that is what Nyx is death itself, they sealed her to reduce the damage she was causing because most people where having suicide thoughts and it made Nyx more stronger.
Sealing something as powerful as Nyx isn’t as easy or insignificant as other people make it seem. Saying "he couldn’t kill Nyx just seal it" make it seems like they where weak and that was the reason they couldn’t kill it when in reality Nyx is unkillable.

between assists, she can disable aigis. once SEES and the investigation team start fighting, the phantom thieves avoid confrontation as much as possible until Futaba either permanently shuts down aigis, or, preferably, hacks aigis onto their side to fill SEES full of bullets like what almost happened on 11/4.
the investigation team is already dead by then. If not, Futaba uses aigis's body to fill the investigation team with bullets, which aigis was probably going to do anyway, and it's slightly less depressing that shooting your own team.

Also, am I the only one who wants a Persona game where your team is an a coliseum of sorts and you have to fight your way through other teams of Persona users (maybe in a tournament setup or something)? I know the Arena games sort of had something like this, but I'm talking about with the main RPG format. I can't really see something like this being a mainline Persona game, but I could definitely see it being a spinoff or as a special dungeon in one of the main games.

I think SEES is being underestimated here. For one, they fought in the most intense environment. The Dark Hour had the same physical drain that the TV World has, but it gives the smallest boost. It just allows more persona power/abilities than non Dark Hour time, but not even on the level of the TV World. Evokers are needed only due the Dark Hour being more harsh, as in the TV World they had no need for them. Meanwhile the Metaverse flat out gives the Phantom Thieves more abilities and options. We haven’t seen SEES or the Investigation Team operate in a similar environment.
SEES also has the strongest individuals. The biggest advantages the Phantom Thieves have are Futaba, Morgana, and Joker. Everyone else is normal, and Door-kun’s solo fusion spell ability should put him on the same level as Joker. Aigis alone is a massive powerhouse, and most of the SEES members should beat most Phantom Thieves in an equivalent one on one. Plus, Fuka counters any kind of stealth the Phantom Thieves may use.
The Phantom Thieves strategy relies on Joker and Morgana. Those two are the brains of the operations, without them, the rest of the team loses a lot of their tactics advantage. While SEES has weaker overall teamwork, each of them function well in isolation. The Phantom Thieves also had the advantage of scoping out their targets and taking time to plan. SEES didn’t get that opportunity, they had to wait until the full moon and improvise every time. They didn’t even have a Morgana or Teddy with built in knowledge, they were working almost entirely blind until near the end. They also have several characters that can fill the leader position in case Door-kun can’t, with Mitsuru, Akihiko, and Aigis all capable to lead. SEES is extremely adaptable.
Overall, a lot of the things that make SEES look weaker are muddy. The Dark Hour vs Metaverse, the operating blind, the more individualistic members, and console limitations (flat PS2 environments vs the extremely stylish PS4 stuff) severely muddy the comparison. Phantom Thieves may still win out in the end, but I think SEES definitely has a chance.

Futaba hacked into the airwaves, blocking all other channels. And Aigis is a robot. Her brain is a CPU. She can and has been hacked.
aigis is the equivalent to a robot with its batteries taken out. there should be no possible way for her to even operate yet she does anyway. also aigis has never been hacked outright at any point aside from when itsuki took over here which was when her circuit board was still intact. its heavily implied that while aigis body is a machine her ability to have the wild card shows she has her own soul and is not just an A.I(her "brain" is an A.I not a cpu) and she can still use her robotic functions in addition to that. futuba hacking into airwaves via her computer is not the same as hacking into a super advanced machine made by the most secret portions of the japanese government. also you need to remember futaba cant hack things instantly and if aigis could be hacked it would take a very long time to hack into an A.I that has more advanced technology that she never has even seen or heard of.
if you put the answer in the mix then yes, aigis can't be hacked. don't count that, then aigis will be a fucking lone slave in the street for futaba
Charielity they stated in this video that they are only not counting the arena versions of the games. that means she cant be hacked. and again even if futaba could hack her good fucking luck as aigis has broken out of hacking through force of will making hacking her useless.
Mechanics wise Persona 5 wins due to having more type coverage and being able to dodge nuclear energy, and survive that one big bang equivalent burger attack, and if we count dlc's the P5 protag has all of the protagonists non ultimate personas and some other unique ones.

Futaba can literally hack people’s cognitions, that allows her to just give the finger to anyone if she decides to. Getting ambushed? Nah, YOU got ambushed by US! Reaper about to kill a Phantom Thief? Hah, he wishes! Her hacking skill would be such that Aigis would be SEES biggest weakness, even if only for a few seconds. And that’s not even going into the idea that when Futaba hacks Mementos, she’s hacking either Yaldabaoth’s or the entirety of Tokyo’s cognition.

For Goro Akechi, I believe he solo’d the palaces by being sneaky and assassinating his targets.
And if this is the case, it’s possible for him to be sensed especially by Fuuka, who specializes in sensing life, especially shadows and personas.
He specifically said "tear through" when talking about shidos palace, i think he'd do both but would more often then not kill any shadow that had the misfortune of being near him

at the end of persona 3 fes the answer aigis is said to have her circuit board (basically what keeps a machine alive) completely burnt out, meaning that she can't be hacked. But if you're just using the journey version of aigis then she probably will be hacked
she cant hack anything thats not acctualy connected to the internet or another soyrce she is connected to it
Aigis has been able to override her programming at multiple occasions plus she runs off an ai powered by a plume of dusk which is essentially a human brain inside a piece of the death god nyx. Also Futaba just installed a program to copy sae's hard drive, thats simple stuff.

Plus you gotta remember Sho didn't hack her, he had a button that he presumably got from an old research facility, that forcefully overrides her to use as an output device. It's likely something that was explicitly programmed into her from the start. Also let's not forget that Labrys also overrode that function thanks to her shadow.
Good video, but you guys didn't really talk about how each team handles battle. In the investigation team and the phantom thieves case, Joker and Yu call the shots and can execute whatever battle plan they need to. However, P3 guy can't really do this. He may be SEES leader, but in combat, everyone just kinda does whatever they want without any cordination between party members.

Investigation Team (Naoto has shield of justice which blocks ALL damage for the entire party, Chie has Dragon Hussle which buffs the entire parties attack, defence and hit/evasion, Yukiko has Burning Petals which deals severe fire damage to all opponents, also its worth noting that their 3rd personas allow them to absorb the element they are strong against, and the Investigation team also has special team moves such as Yukiko & Chies and Naoto & Kanji's) > Phantom Thieves > SEES
If the Investigation Team had only 1 Ultimate Persona, they would have a much better chance, since their Ultimate personas are SUPER good! They would straight up win if they all had their ultimate personas, and if their wild cards were the only ones without their final personas, then the investigation team has a very decent chance of winning.
this is why they said no universe arcana and no spin off boosts because without them there's equal ground between everyone.

Ryuji and Ann can provide full party charge and concentrate. Yusuke and makoto can give full party Heat riser and Debilitate. Futaba can also use full party healing + Revive. Satanael can also Kill gods with his bullets.

you guys almost forgot to mention how the Phantom thieves have makoto who is arguably smarter than morgana plus has an actual motorcycle for a persona
but morgana is a cat bus so you have that. I chalk it to the cat bus since they use that way more then she rides that motorcycle
Her final persona is a FLIPPING TRANSFORMER
After Royal this becomes even more imbalanced since the phantom thieves get Akechi back as an official member and thus should be on there team in this and they also get Sumire and while she’s the same level as the other regular thieves that isn’t Joker/Akechi/Futaba she’s still an extra member to help. They also all get tier three personas with OP abilities and there the only team with access to traits.
Aigis and Junpei mow down everyone except for Akechi and Joker, Aigis is quite literally the terminator who can also use multiple personas and Junpei is pretty much a budget Wolverine from X-Men who can regenerate and has a persona that's fused from two different personas.

I just realized something from watching a play-through of the Persona 5 dancing game and that I have a renown light of the P5 group and Futaba as a Navigator that she is a million times better than Rise because during the Social Events of Mona and hers that she can sense they are not alone and can sense the members of SEES and she even has a conversation with Fuuka. Rise couldn't even do that heck during P4AU she needed Fuuka's help to see through the red fog to sense her own team members.
