No joke, it’s like you KNOW the perfect time when to post something. Things have been super stressful for me recently between college and balancing a job and an internship and I watch your videos every day when I’m getting ready because it’s seriously a highlight to my day. It puts me automatically in a mindset to take the day with a smile despite being stressed. So thank you for this video ❤️ I’m so excited!!

    My tips:
    🧤 Shower daily.
    🧥 Wear clean underwear daily.
🧥 Sleep early. Preferably by 10 pm. Sleep for 9 hours.
    🧥 Get enough nutrients.
🧥 Eat less sugar, less fried foods.
🧦 Journal daily. Write what bothers you. Write a solution to your problems.
    🧦Apply a face mask weekly.
    🧦 Clean your rooms.
🧦 Live in a clean environment.
    🧦 Light candles.
👛 Have spa days once a month.
    👛Wear clothes that fit.
👛 Cut off people who use you, abuse you, control you, cross your boundaries constantly, put you down.
🧥Go away for a few days. Explore new places.
🧥Talk to people you trust and who have your best interest at heart. People can give you new perspectives to your problems.
🏊 Create a rest day every week. No work or phone that day.
🏊 Track your stressors. Write it down. Listen every day to understand things: listen with no technology on or people around.
What makes you anxious: know this. It could be certain people who are taking advantage of you or manipulating you.

I love the tip about journaling in the morning. I’ve been trying to get into it, and always feel the need for my journal entry to be written in a coherent way so that when I look back on it in the future, it tells a good story. And although there’s definitely a time and a place for recording special events in that fashion to look back onto, I love the idea of a brain dump daily, just to flip back through on a week to week basis to get a feel for where your mind is working on, and noticed patterns and trends and behavior in thinking. Love it. Are used to journal all the time, but when they start getting busy, I just didn’t have time for those longer journal entries. But the bullet point brain dumping is an awesome idea!

    Great video Carrie !
I just want to add that one of the most under-rated stress reliever is human connection. There are countless studies showing that face to face interaction with people is vital for a good mental health. I have struggled a lot with that in the past few years because I moved a lot, but some things that helped me were to start a team sport, make a point to see my friends once a week and stop watching netflix while eating dinner, but instead sitting down and having proper conversations with my boyfriend.
I feel so much better for it and it really gives me a sense of being supported that I haven't had ever since I moved out of my parents house seven years ago.

Hi Carrie! I just wanted to comment on your video (for once, shame on me for being one of those annoying people who doesn't comment on videos because they're too shy) to tell you that I absolutely love your work. I've been binge watching your videos lately and they have been so helpful. I'm having a hard time right now and your videos make me feel so great. I love the way you edit, the way you talk and how kind you are. Keep up the amazing work (can't wait for the podcast), have an amazing day ! Much love from France

Carrie, first of all, congrats on getting that Frank Body sponsorship, girl! Love Frank Body. And secondly thank you for all the tips. I love your reminders to continue taking care of ourselves and to put ourselves first sometimes. I've been trying to learn to take care of myself again lately since having my son and I like to tell myself "you can't pour from an empty cup". It's so true and a gentle little reminder when I need it 🌹

I read a quote today that stood out to me. "Self-worth is not based on productivity." This is important if you're having an off day! As long as you are doing your best everyday and you keep in mind that your best meter changes day by day then you are more self-aware and self-loving.
