Good guide as always, but there's a very small tip that can speed up the process: instead of adding and applying the subsurface, just select all the cube in edit mode (a), press w then subdivide smooth. This gives the same result without leaving edit mode.
Can you please tell how many polygons are used on the character i am creating a mobile game on unity and need a character that has small amount polygons and also looks good like a 2d character, it's a 3d game with 2d character
