Jenny is such a legend for making that Ikea apron 🤣🤣🤣
Definitely agree
@liva funder they did say Jenny..?

😂 I want one! U know those things could be washed in the machine for up to 40°
we should start a petition for josh to wear one for their next video
IKEA’s meatballs at the end are a trap that keeps you coming back thinking “it wasn’t that bad” even after you’ve had a complete meltdown in the light fixture section
Accurate
It's the cabinet section for me 🤣
It’s just fuel for the breakdown you will have at home assembling the furniture.
@@laurad8609 the hot dog and froyo is for the at home obscenities
Unless you're an IKEA co-worker in the lighting department just next to the restaurant. It's like Ground Hog's Day with IBS. True story from someone who ate from the smorgasbord once with Ingvar Kamprad.
I think we can all appreciate Ollie for his extraness. Like this man goes all out for the content and I AM HERE FOR IT!!!
My stomach is like a lottery machine now 😂😂😂
Just gonna poop out the PowerBall
Hahahahah love the comparison
Ollie's Ikea fashion should be a new trend and JOLLY's videos get crazier and crazier every season

@@naff_tm I was exactly gonna comment this
Travel to Asia, you’ll find IKEA and DHL printed stuff lol
Should've wore Carolean Uniforms, Fitting as hell with the Blue and Yellow, Stylish aswell
About 10 years ago I wore a hard hat to the club on friday and they next day I found out 2 other people while I wasn't there wore them. Apparently my hat was a hit
I think Ollie deserves an award for his creativity.
Mr. Powerball Pooper
I absolutely adore these guys! Hello from Toronto Canada! I would love to see you guys do a series of Korean food through the decades. I'm curious to see the novelty of foods that you come across!
Jenny making an IKEA apron without question is so classic for the Jolly family 😂 everyone is so happy to go along with everything!
As a Swede I feel the need to tell you that the Daim cake is not made by IKEA, they just sell them in their stores. Also the Kladdkaka is sold atleast in the Swedish Ikea Café so they do have their own version of it and it is great. :D
Also in most of the Swedish stores you can take a shortcut directly to the resturant :D
Shhhh don't tell them about The Secret Swede Passage....
Isn’t the shortcut universal? All the IKEAs I’ve been to in Canada and Asia have the shortcut right at the entrance.
Was about to comment that about the Daimtårta haha 😂
Yup ! Same as the one in Malaysia and the shortcut is just next to the entrance once you go up 😁😁😁
I’m in the San Francisco Bay Area and our IKEA doesn’t have a shortcut but it’s halfway through the store. You go through all the rooms and furnitures all set up, then the cafe (that you’ve been smelling the WHOLE time), then downstairs to the kitchen gadgets, rugs, lights, pillows, etc.
Ollie never fails to show up with his special but yet oddly charming outfit 😂 IKEA wins over everything, EVEN HIS OUTFIT
Can we have jolly-ikea merch now 🤣

loving this michelin star food series. they make me hungry and i love it.
Me too! One of my favorite series on the channel!
I make a mean Swedish meatball, based on my grandmothers recipe. I have to say, I prefer her gravy to Ikea's. It's so unhealthy, yet delectable.
I have a theory that the main reason the Ikea cafe exists is so that when you inevitably lose your loved ones in the depths of the store, you can all follow the meatball scent to be reunited again.
Ohhh…I really like this theory 🤔
Hahahahahaha
I don't believe you. Please send us your recipe so we can compare 🌚🌚🌚🤣🤣
I prefer raw meatballs made from high fat beef and then i dunk them in beef gravy mixed with lard and saved bacon grease. very filling and yummy
How did you make it mean? Did you insult their ancestors while you cook it?
Being a Swede watching you eating typical Swedish food and desserts and just losing your mind over super simple Swedish food make me so happy^^
Samma här :D
Fun fact: the IKEA Daim is also gluten free (and you cant even tell)! My old coeliac housemate and I used to drive to IKEA at night just to get this and would also say 'da-im' every time
Yup, one of my all-time favourite deserts, and beats almost all the non gluten free ones I used to eat.
daimmm that’s cool
Just FYI that Daim cake is just a swedish brand of cake makers, they come in literally every grocery store here and have many many more flavors that just the daim one, to the point where I rarely if ever buy the Daim one anymore as the others are just that much better. Also, all of them gluten-free. Which is very welcome for a celiac like me.
I want to like this, but it's at exactly 100 likes and I can't ruin that perfection.
As a Swede, I concur with these reactions.
The almondy cake is actually relatively pricey, but for good reason. The kladdkaka is also sold in a near identical package as the almondy one, less expensive though, and plus it needs the whipped cream to work.
My mom considers it a crime but i love vanilla ice cream instead of the cream
@@angrydragonslayer Cream on deserts can almost always be replaced by vanilla icecream really, does the same job
@@KungKokkos yeah but you also have to consider that the ice cream is cold. this mixed with any sort of warm dessert (even just a room temp one in summer) has a nice added effect.
Imagine Michelin Star watching this video going "oh they look like they have some valuable feedback"
And then there comes Ollie in an apron. Just an apron.
michelin star cant watch this video cause it isnt a person. its a rating system
@@leeshapon I meant whoever is a part of it :))
To be fair, he was wearing pants too.
Seeing Josh and Ollie going "Daïmmm" has validated me. I've been saying that joke for years but no one got it 😄

He's the king of average guys but funnier, sweeter, and more daring.
As a native Swede this episode pleased me a lot xD Also "kladd my kaka" made me laugh uncontrollably xD
Haha, yes, it was hilarious. I was worried they'd be also eating neggerballs
I'd never thought I'd see the day where Ollie will be wearing an Ikea bag as an apron-
I never thought I would see a lot of things then Ollie does it
To be fair, at this point I am more likely to be surprised if Ollie didn't wear it.

Jenny made such a beautiful outfit for Ollie. Ollie has the grace of an amoeba but he has the Swag to counteract any detractors 😂

Lmaooo loool no words
Ollie totally had me doubting myself, wondering if I had missed that IKEA make strange, unabsorbent aprons.... nicely played, cheers to Jenny ;)
Trust me we want to see Josh the way Ollie is dressed LOL
"there's wayyyy too much armpit in that twirl" *I'm wheezing*
I am loving Ollie's ratio of each ingredient in each bite. Now I really want Ikea meatballs. That ikea cake is also the best thing ever and I'd inhale a whole cake if I could 🤤
In December of 2020, the province of Ontario, Canada, was slated for a COVID shutdown on Boxing Day. All non-essential retailers were to close for weeks, if not months. Thus, a few days before Christmas, I stood in line at Ikea for about 2 hours... Just to buy a bag of meatballs and 8 boxes of Daim cakes.
The bestest part was that the freezers were right by the cashiers, so most of the time I was waiting in line, my cart was completely empty, making me look like a total idiot 👍
I would have loved to see Jenny's reaction when Ollie came up to her and asked her to make his Ikea apron.
I think she would be used to it by now 😂
I can imagine Ikea stealing this apron idea. It's easy to clean, durable, and not too expensive.
I work with IKEA food! Thank you for trying these two dishes. They are well loved by a lot of people and we can never get over how good it is. That apron is also lovely by the way.
Lingonberry improves every dish, and I don’t normally like sweet with savoury.
at this point I didn't even question Ollie showing up with nothing but an IKEA apron
You guys never fail to make my day jolly♥️
As a Croat raised in Sweden since 6 year of age … I must say , Swedish food and dessert are amazingly tasty. Swedish meatballs and macaroni is delicious.
LOVE THE " VAMOS " RAFA SHIRT 😭💞
Undeniably the best youtuber at this moment
This made me so hungry, and I don't even eat meatballs that much. :)
I want IKEA food so bad now but we don’t even have IKEA in New Zealand 😭
omg in the singapore ikea u can literally have a meal first before shopping because the restaurant is literally at the start of the store but because of covid restrictions now you literally have to queue for more if not at least 2 hours just to have a meal there 🥲😭
4:58 that's classic jolly moment right there
Ikeas in Finland have a stairs directly to the restaurant from the entrance so no need to go through the store if you just want them meaty balls. 😏
Okay we need a poll.
Did Josh not experiment enough or did Ollie experiment to much? 🤷🏽♀️😂
Josh didn't experiment enough 😂🤣🤣
Their energy balance out so its all good and jolly 💖
Am I the only one missing the "My reason to be jolly" outro. Still a blissful video worth laughing for and here for it.
Ikea's meatless meatballs are also really good! I appreciate the option as a vegetarian. I haven't eaten at Ikea in years but am waiting to once they reopen the food area (closed from covid). For now they have frozen items like the meatballs
Ooh I didn’t know they had meatless meatballs. Next time I go I’m looking for them.
They have veggie dogs now too!, and they are great! Frozen food section, but if your lucky, the exit food area will have them cooked too ;)
@@erinaustin2157 Ooh yes, I actually have a bag in my freezer right now :D

I love that Daim cake, but would also love the Michelin star dessert! And Ollie, how are you not freezing in that apron?! I feel like it would chafe quite a bit. Not the softest of materials! 🤣
I don’t think he was wearing it for very long lol
You can buy the kladdkaka in a box quite cheap, and it's super tasty. 😊
@@rachelcookie321 Regardless, I think it would chafe even after two minutes of wearing it! 🤣
@@Daergarz Will have to hunt it down!
Ever heard of a room heater?
As a Swede, the problem with IKEA meatballs is that they taste like school canteen food. They're not fried enough, and they've been reheated.
Please do more Swedish stuff! I'm your guy if you need anything 👊
I thought I have been preparing myself for surprises but whenever there is a new Jolly video, I feel that “never thought I’d have seen it happen” moment🤣🤣🤣
I was always waiting for the moment where I see Ollie wearing just an apron.
i am really proud to be from Sweden hahaha , Ikea meatballs is literally the best❤

i have been to ikea countless times. and i have never tried the meatballs!
and btw: you can go from the entrance straight to the restaurant in every ikea.
Actually no to the shortcuts 🙂 We do have shortcuts in Linköping Sweden, but not any direct. Someone wrote that it might be because the older store's have a different layout from the newer ones. Our restaurant is on the second floor, on the other side of the store from the entrance. So we either have to go forwards several departments, backwards through a few departments or halfway through a mall 😊
@@TinaDanielsson wow! in germany all stores have the restaurant at the end of the second floor before going downstairs, but since you walk in a circle it is basically also at the start if you just go upstairs and walk in the other direction.
@@robopecha I wish we were so lucky 😅 The first half of our restaurant is a zigzag path, almost like a maze and I have for real gotten lost a few times when trying to find the frigging shortcut 😂
Ollie (quite insistent repeating several times: "Feel how damp I am!"
Josh (exasperated): "I DON'T WANT TO!!"
LOL, too funny for words. Thanks Ollie for the laughs. Helps put me in a great mood for the weekend.
oh those IKEA Daim bar/cake thing is TO DIE FOR. I still remember the taste of it even though I haven't had it in over a year like WOAH.
idk why but the pronunciation of kladekage was just so funny
Really fun watching you try IKEA stuff! ^^
The "Daim tårta" isn't something special for IKEA, you can by the same in normal grocery stores (in Sweden at least). However, they taste AMAZING!!!!!! :D
Ollie has such a way with words, and I love it! 😄
'Daim' had in cake, it's usually just chocolate. In Malaysia we always called it as chocolate Daim that can get from Langkawi. Famous there in Langkawi. You guys should try it.
"I don't want to" lollllll I live for jolly
kladdkaka is kinda the same as mudcake. personally, i can't eat more than 3 bites because it is too sweet but they are so good
I can tell you right now if you kladdkaka is too sweet, it wasnt made right, that shit is bitter and dark and the sweet cream is there for that exact reason.
I love Ikea meatballs.
My Ikea is 40 mins away and you actually have me contemplating whether or not I should make the drive for dinner! I also LOVE their candy bins!
2:54 the synchronized sniff cracked me up
I'm a Swedish mum. You should try mine. 😉
That daim cake is amazing😭 the crunchy thing on top is the actual Daim, it’s a type of chocolate bar🍫
Now I want meatballs !!!! And how did it take me this long to find this channel ??? I love these two.
Just discovered your channel and enjoying your work. This is the first item I’ve seen in your studio and one thing immediately jumped out, the Union Jack is upside down! The broad white stripe on the left should be uppermost.
i found a meatball recipe online and made meatballs. it was exactly like frozen ikea meatballs but elevated because fresh and higher quality ingredients.
Love how Josh has a suit on in the thumbnail and not in the videoOllie got to him when he said he didn't put effort in his outfit😂😂
Honestly, the two of u together is comedy gold 😂
Absolutely epic, great work guys!!
Another great episode, Josh being charming and Ollie…. Extra extra, you always go that extra level. Your humour is fabulous. Love from snowy 🇨🇦 Canada 🇨🇦

I don't usually comment but as a Swede this was a the highlight of my day! However, I need to say that I've literally never seen the Daim cake in any IKEA store, they have Kladdkaka there too, and it's lovely.
I also saw someone comment that there are shortcuts in the IKEA store to the restaurant, and that is true!
Also, the furniture might be "worse" because it's cheaper but it somehow stays as that one good piece of superior furniture throughout your entire life, I think that should qualify as more than affordable and a decent quality for its value!
I've noticed meatballs in any swedish restaurant that 'properly' makes them, are also very meaty in a nice way, but the IKEA meatballs are just one of a kind, even the store bought ones in the grocery-stores don't compare. Honestly, the need for the different kinds of meatballs is different in different situations :)))
the ikea near my place has the restaurant as soon as you go inside and upstairs. super convenient for lunch time. leaving it once you're done with lunch though is a struggle lol
You guys are an endless source of bizarre ideas. And I am FULLY-ASS HOOKED.
You could be comparing toothpastes and I'd be on board.
You are living your best life and I’m here for it! This would be my dream job to basically try food and report on it!
First video, I instantly loved you guys.
Kladdkaka is a Swedish staple and is eaten both as a dessert and at fika! Ollie's description of it is kinda spot on that it's a mix of chocolate cake and chocolate tart, because kladdkaka is known for it's crisp exterior and gooey interior. It doesn't rise when it baked because there is no baking powder to level it :) Also it's quite rich and it's often paired with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Additionally, baking time is customary depending if you want it more gooey or well done!
we actually want to see even more of Ollie THANNK YOU VERY MUCH JOSH!!
Hi from Sweden! Kladdkaka is one of the most popular cake we eat in Sweden (and also one of the easiest to bake). Would be fun If you guys try to bake it (tips if you do; Bake one with flour, and one without to compare. A lot of people I know like the kladdkaka extra "kladdig") 😊
5:58 When Josh said kladd my kaka I just burst out laughing, means smudge my cookie in Swedish.
As a Swede this makes me smile uncontrollably
so anglophone they didn't even tell ONE kladd...KAKA joke 😂😂😂❤️❤️
My nearest IKEA is a two hour drive away but I am sooooo tempted!
never in my life had ikea meatballs since there's pork in them so watching u guys get so much nostalgia from it is very fun
Saw the video title and fell of my chair. This is brilliant.
We have that Daim cake in the freezer section in Norwegian grocery stores lmao, can confirm it’s pretty tasty, though I’ve only ever had it while still slightly frozen hhh
You guys are so hilarious.⭐A big thumbs up from Sydney, Australia!!!!🦘🦘🦘
Them saying daaaamn is something I never knew now I needed
Since I’m a kid and haven’t gone to ikea in like 2 years, I’ve never tried the meatballs. But, my sister and I would always take the little pencil and map and try to guide our parents to the cinnamon rolls.
At this moment in time, at 6:01, I would like to inform you that "Kakka" in Finnish means "Poop".🤷🏻♂️🤣
In my language(Malayalam) “kakka” means crow 😁
2:02 I dont know why I'm laughing so hard at this my tummy hurts🤣🤣🤣🤣
Poop out a Powerball may become part of my lexicon.
As a Swede I died of laughter when Josh said "Mmm, kladd my kaka". It's weirdly dirty, haha. I have to say that every time now that I eat kladdkaka! Btw kladdkaka translates more or less to stickycake.
In regards to the meatballs, a lot of people like the store bought as they are like they say a lot less chewy (as there is a lot less meat in them) while home made can, depending on the meat used, be really chewy. Personally I love reindeer or elk meatballs (those are incredibly meaty) with boiled potatoes, chanterelle sauce and lingonberry jelly! Oh, and a good beer as well of course!
Ollie and Josh adding the lingonberry and potato with the meatball bites, reminds me of the Thanksgiving sandwich without the bread.
2:57 They both syncronized!
I used to work at IKEA and I ate meatballs and a slice of that cake in my lunch break literally every single day. Fond memories
As someone who frequently purchases food from ikea, the daim cake was always my favorite - it’s seriously delicious.
- feel it, i am sweaty, feel it...
- I DON'T WANT TO!!
