The communist party does not respect nature or any form of life in general. They don’t respect anyone simply as a human being, let alone his works or his property. They only respect one thing, that is power, in fact they worship it. The current Chinese society is a manifestation of such, showing the people over and over again how they can gain all the respect, the money, the fame, the mistresses and everything once they have gained power. People who got disgusted by this already left the country, the ones who stayed either lack the means to leave or are brainwashed into believing their theory and keep playing this power struggle game for their entire lives. Of course, the ultimate power in China comes from the party, so those people will join party and they will struggle with them hoping they can somehow gain an edge. That never happens. Eventually they lose everything and get replaced by the next generation of such people and this cycles continues forever.

When I was in China (20 yrs ago) we would see that same blue color on trucks everywhere. We asked our guide, who snickered and said "That paint was on sale, haha". We also saw homes with cobalt blue window glass. V mysterious to us. This was along the Silk Road.
Turfan was lauded as the grape growing region, with huge drying buildings.

34:50 I love how there is just a random Porsche SUV and one from VW chilling there. A decent Porsche SUV is at least 100.000 $ even here in Germany while the basemodel starts at around 60.000 $. So importing one to China bumps both those figures up quite a bit. Shows the insane divide in China where people cant even afford a used motorbike in one part of the country and other people have enough to import a Porsche.
The one big thing I've noticed trough these Videos is that there is no point in being rich in China.
Because the real china is a shitty run down soulless place. No real difference in being middle class vs being rich you get the same shit.
A Porsche aint gonna make a difference.

I asked this girl I was dating what she would do if she found out her unborn child had some sort of handicap, and she answered she'd just get an abortion. That's not the most chilling part as she answered in a way that seems to suggest it's widely accepted and the norm. She really couldn't understand my distaste at the time, and my opinion was completely foreign to her.

My friend’s sister recently had a baby that doctor kept telling has hydrocephalus and should abort the baby. She refused to do it, but spent the rest of the pregnancy crying to deliver a healthy baby. In a way, doctors can be completely wrong, but aborting a sick baby makes me wonder how would those parents handle a healthy child who gets sick?

Ball Bearings! I worked in Southern California and there were always "ball bearings" (we thought) coming to and from Huntington Park - spelled in different ways - I recall once it was spelled Held Langdon - but I recognized the zip code. These heavy little metal balls would escape from boxes. Turns out they were Pachinko balls, they had Japanese characters on them. I assume.
I never knew why so many ball bearings were being made until years later when they developed a kind of Pachinko machine in Seattle, but it was not technically gambling. Just an arcade type game.

Back in the early noughties I was in a taxi from Beijing to Shijiazhuang on a work trip. The motorway was like a dual carriage way and there was so little traffic. The landscape was so dull and everything just looked the same, towns and villages were clones of each other. Man it was so boring. I can honestly say the 3 weeks I spent there is all the time I ever want to spend in China. I would rather go to North Korea then go to China again and that is saying something. Met some nice charming people, some nice food at times but everything else just got under my skin. Going to see chairman Mao in Beijing was utterly pointless and boring. From my limited time there and not as a tourist I can completely understand the guy's comments. China has some nice people but the system is messed up and the Chinese government is the stuff of nightmares.

I got two notifications, one of which wasn't public for some reason... Have you checked out the hate rap (Hey Sweden Hey Sweden) from the soft power CCP rapper "Pissy" yet guys? And the object of the CCP hate Jesper Ronndahl? I think it all started with some Chinese nationals being escorted out from a hotel in Stockholm (this was caught on tape, and is on RUclips). As Jesper is a comedian, he made some (bad taste) jokes about Chinese tourists bad manners when they visit the west, and the CCP got involved and demanded apologies and turned up the soft power attacks against Sweden. It was a whole thing a couple of years ago, it's all on RUclips. Jespers videos have subtitles btw. I have seen a video with a Swedish army cyber defense guy speaking about Chinas soft power tactics about Sweden, so our military at least is aware of it, even if the population isn't... Love these travel vids guys!

In my little village right next to Chicago, there is a catholic cemetery, but on one end they have a Chinese section with one of those altar/fireplace things to burn paper money and leave offerings for their ancestors. My friend took his Malaysian wife there to see. We used to just go hang out and sit on it whenever, 'cause people like to take walks in the cemetary.
