I guess they have once suffered from true life threatening starvation, the kind of starvation that literally fucks with your mind and strips you of all humanity and turns you into a literal feral animal that wants one thing and one thing only: survival.
Yes, humans have been starved to the point of resembling feral animals that resort to cannibalism and would cook and eat their own children. Look up the Holodomor, the starvation of millions of Ukranians by Stalin. Society crumbled and people literally ate the dead, sometimes they didn't even wait for other people to die.
It's very easy for us westerners to judge the diet of other cultures since we have had the privilege of never ever coming at all close to being extremely hungry, let alone starving. We don't know how it feels to consider eating our own family members.

All of Serpentza's videos are dedicated to denigrating and minimizing China, its country, its economy, and even its people. He has exposed many malpractices, corruption, and other major flaws and faults in their system, their economy, bureaucracy, etc. I don't doubt the veracity of many or most of his claims given his extensive experience living and working in China, however I've never seen one of his videos praising China for any its many major accomplishments or achievements.
China was a dirt poor impoverished country back as far as 1950 or 1960 that nobody gave a fuck about, during the era of Deng Xiaoping and his economic reforms that opened the Chinese economy up the rest of the world, and then subsequently China became the world's manufacturing base and factory, China has experienced the most rapid economic growth of any country in history, it is so great that it has raised 850 million out of poverty, that doesn't mean these people are rich or even well off by western standards, but it does mean they eat 3 times a day, have access to basic medical care, housing and education. This is unprecedented in human history that such a large amount of people could raised out of poverty. China has grown to such an extent that it is now competing in many (if not most) areas of science, technology, etc. with the world's superpower America, they have expanded their economic reach to most of the world, their belt and road initiative aims to connect their economy and modernize infrastructure abroad on an unprecedented scale and are tackling infrastructure projects on a scale that even the world most developed countries cannot compete with, given where China has come from in such a short time period, surely these achievements are worthy of some praise like the acknowledgment that maybe China is doing something right despite its many flaws and faults,
but you won't find any honest analysis like that in this guys videos, he just spends his time mocking China.
He regularly praises the West, its system of democracy, and its liberal values, e.g. human rights, freedom of expression etc. I'm not trying to deny that these are great things that deserve to be cherished and preserved, however I would like to suggest that maybe he isn't so educated on the history of Western colonialism/imperialism, and the damage, destruction, and death it has wrought on the rest of the world, i.e. those colonized and enslaved nations of the world which we commonly refer to as the third world or global South.
Most people think Western colonization ended around the time of WW2, this couldn't be further from the truth, we have lived in an American dominated world since the end of WW2, America essentially inherited the British empire when the the UK could no longer sustain it, even during the cold war the USSR was never anywhere near as powerful as America, and didn't have the allies America did (i.e. the former colonial countries with an interest in maintaining the status quo), America has pursued its project of global hegemony with more ruthlessness and violence than any other country in the past century, and still does to this day. Since 1945, the US has tried to overthrow more than 50 governments, many of them democratically elected; grossly interfered in elections in 30 countries; bombed the civilian populations of 30 countries; used chemical and biological weapons; and has assassinated many foreign leaders, most recently Qassim Soleimani of Iran.
In many cases Britain as well as other EU nations have been collaborators. The degree of human suffering, let alone criminality, is little acknowledged in the west, despite the presence of the world's most advanced communications and nominally most free journalism.
America is not the free bastion of liberal democracy it claims itself to be, maybe it was a few decades ago but that time is past, it is now a desperate empires trying to reverse the increasing trend towards multipolarity in the world, and is largely led by blood thirsty neo conservative war mongers, and its internal system at this stage it is best described as a corrupt plutocracy where anyone with independent political opinions to the mainstream parties is sidelined and allowed no where near power (e.g. Ron Paul and Bernie Sanders were both prevented from be able to run as president despite their massive popularity), America is ruled by the deep state and serves big business and corporate interests to the detriment of its own population, the problems in America are so vast I will just stop writing about them because they are too numerous and complex to do any justice to.
Do you think maybe Serpentza who seems to love western culture despite its horrific history of colonialism, imperialism, and the plunder and rape of most the worlds people and resources that continues to this day despite all the pronouncements about humans rights, and democracy, etc., do you think he'll ever criticize the American led West? I strongly doubt doubt, it seems his ideological predispositions are hardwired, maybe he is just angry that Nelson Mandela's ANC party managed to overthrow the disgusting Apartheid regime that ruled over South Africa with an Iron fist for so long, which might have forced him to leave his home country, just a thought

It does not smell like the usual stinky tofu at all, honestly it smelled like real poop. And later my family told me that they actually used real poop to flavor the tofu. Have you guys ever heard of that?

Actually you hit the jackpot when it comes to stinky tofu but you'll be relieved that it wasn't poop. For the most part most stinky tofu uses the same brine. The brine smells worse than poop. The Taiwanese normally brines firm tofu cubes for a day and it's deep fried. It's very subtle and smells and tastes a lot of really a good Italian reggiano. Cantonese versions vary but normally it's a softer tofu, much bigger and deep fried till it soaks up a lot of the oil. The smell is pungent when afar, pleasing when up close and delicious with hot and hoisin sauce.
Shanghai stinky tofu is a different animal because the sauce is made with the brine. It's very similar to both Cantonese and Taiwanese in that they're cubed but instead of firm they use a softer tofu like the Cantonese. After the deep fry, it's then stir fried with whatever house sauce plus some brine. It's that fucking brine that takes Shanghai stinky tofu to the next level because it's not fried off. Instead that strong brine is incorporated in the sauce causing a stink like no other stinky tofu.
There's a Shanghai restaurant I frequent in flushing NY. They have that tofu and not a lot of people order it. My family eats any stinky tofu but they never touch this one. I'm the only one that loves that sweet, spicy, vinegary, shit stinky sauce.
I'll be the first to admit that I couldn't swallow it the first time too. I brought it home in a sealed container and ate it the next day cold when it was a bit less strong. I was hooked. The last year I went to the restaurant easily 50 times. I've seen no one order it except myself.

If you google a certain Chinese grocery store, there is a story where meat was not handled properly in San Jose, CA. I saw this first hand.

I remember you guys "tasting" some of those treats. We had a Tams Rice Bowl back many years ago (Minnesota) that got shut down after someone saw cat/dog remains in their refuse container. Place was popular , bought take out there myself!

Out of 1.4 billion people, there ought to be some kooky ones cooking food in cow bile. 😪 I've yet to understand some more popular delicacies such as shark fin soup and bird's nest soup. I only understand wonton and hot and sour soup. 😂

I don't know which grosses me more out, some of the weird things that the Chinese eat, or why they started to eat them in the first place. I can only speculate there had to be some pretty massive famines that made people desperate enough to eat them. Also, how inedible must the Pandas be for them to have not become extinct due to China's eating habits?
