All new Stratton Acoustics Elypsis 1512's are basted off of the old JBL 4350's but sounds much much better ! The just might be the world's very best sounding speakers now ! 😍😍😍😇😊 OMG...

This setup could really use acoustic treatment. Sound absorption on the brick walls and strategic locations to catch the early reflections. I hear a lot of slap echo in that room. The music would sound much better if the room had better acoustics.
would so love if you had somewhere where you put drawing up on the cabinets of the speakers ( i love help you make technical drawings of them in both metric and inch's )
My friend in High Schools father had a pair of those, we would lay out of school and Rock those JBL’s all day while his father was at work. Hooked me ! I’ve been listening all my life . Now at in my sixties, I have a pair of Klipsch k- Horns with a M&K powered sub up front and on B-channel a pair of Klipsch Belle’s running. Powered by a 1975 Marantz 2325 . Yes they can get extremely loud . Yep just like in High School I still rock. Still ride a motorcycle ! My children are grown but they would tell you they listened to alot of music growing up ! Hahahahaha !😂😅🤣
Not sure about thin, I think lively would be a better descriptive IMO... at least, that's what I'm hearing (DT880 headphones, Lehmann Rhinelander amp). Probably the room acoustics as you say. Speakers sound gorgeous, wish I could be there to listen in person...
...and also, I think therefore that any live band in the same room would thus sound similar. Closing my eyes, I can definitely imagine a live band sounding that way in place of the speakers...
まさしくJBLの音！厚みのあるシンバルとゴリっとした低音にしびれます。
50年位前、学生の頃よく通ったJAZZ喫茶（大阪梅田太融寺に有ったJoJo）を思い出し涙が出ます。最近こういったJAZZ喫茶が有りませんね。
こういう大きなJBLスピーカーとマークレビンソンのセパレートアンプは最高の組み合わせの一つですね♪。聴いていて最高に気持ちいいです👍。
こんなジャズ喫茶が近くに欲しいね
映画館ではほぼ同じの音質を味わう事ができます。

Sounds good but has a bit of a thin sound, could be the room acoustics. It's a very bright room, no carpet and hard walls.

Levinson plus JBL is shrill sounding ! Tube amps are so much better !
Nit disagreeing on tubes with JBLs, but they sound pretty balanced with the Levinsons. Fly Me To The Moon is just right.
