That spitter spider jumping down from above was crazy, a split second concussive deflected the first shot and you managed to use your scav as a shield as it continued to fire
Masterful use of the concussive blast all throughout! And I cannot imagine having to tackle metropolis when it’s nearly as dark as the citadel, haha! Very very impressive
something amazes me about this sort of speedrun; just one single mistake, and its all over, your sent back to the beginning of the campaign and you will need to get back to where you had failed damn
That's still good. I had to restart the game 4 times because I thought my score will be super bad since every run had like 50 deaths and still didn't leave garbage waste. In my final run I had 260 deaths and 19 cycles or sum. Score on minus in end.
Only we can see Artificer dying and waking up, because we rewind time by the rules of Cycle, so this is basically how Artificer looks like to scavengers, that survived
Actually the thing about you just waking up where you last slept as part of the reincarnation cycle is a misconception or at best an assumption. Truth is that it's never actually specified how it works. It's said that most things are only dimly aware of the cycle, and it was also said that it's *birth* and death tied in a loop. The undeath cycle is likely not what the shelter mechanic is, just a vague similarity. Plus if it is just waking up, what happens when you die of old age? And how does evolution work? Etc.
@NecyarUnáty that exact same pearl also refers to birth and death being connected Again, it's ambiguous, never specified "Then you know that death isn't the end - birth and death are connected to each other like a ring-" Also, the sleep analogy was just that, an analogy, so if anything it seems way more likely it's literal rebirth.
That's actually very impressive ! Imagine if your game crashed right when entering metropolis. With my luck if I attempted the challenge the game would pull something like that on me assuming id get very far
At 38:32 though, that spear was like a quarter inch away from you, I know how frustrating and disappointing rain world speedrunning can be, especially when you’re being as cautious as possible
@joelcarmona2379 If you sink enough time, effort, and/or money into something, it takes on a strange new importance, regardless of its hierarchy of need.
@violetskiy854 I fully forgot I even made this comment, and I don't remember what it was about and I can say my old comment is most likely irrelevant because I only watch rain world when I'm sleepy. No insult ment from this comment probably from the old one but I don't feel it anymore

I'm still learning the normal speedrun route right now, but I'll get here eventually. Nice run. Edit: Have since completed it!
@@dragonfury1565 Certain scavenger corpses are guaranteed to spawn in GW on cycle 0 for Arti, most notably in the room she starts in. You just grab one and start running. Interesting and impressive! A little surprised you didn't grab a neuron to eat while going through pebbles given how dark some of the Metropolis rooms can be at night; seems like something to not want to risk losing a run to over saving a few seconds. Would have given more leeway for crafting later too. Clearly didn't stop you this time, though, so it worked out. :)
9:12 I love how you used the pop as a way to fight back, I've thought of doing that once or twice but never managed to because of how quickly I died. I probs will be doing arti campaign later but the scavs hating you is kinda making me stick to Gourmand.
It really makes the combat with scavs easier, and increases arti’s overall survivability so much… that I’m still in tears about the fact that I beat her campaign the first time without even realizing it was a thing 😭
You know, I really glad I waited to finish this insane run personally before watching this, just looking at how different the routes we took was really interesting. Like two completely different ways through metro and shaded that I didn’t go lol. Great job, this run is soooooo tough ;-;
If the cycle is mercifully long enough to rain by the time you're 1/2 up the Wall, or When you enter pebbles from underhang, then I can see that as possible, but even then that is a Hail Mary of a run, as extreme as Pacificer (Artificer campaign and main ending without killing anything)
This was so cool to see! I'm still in the midst of my very first playthrough, and I *dream* of being this efficient and skilled, lol. Thanks for sharing the video!
amazing feat! i like how chaotic the arti campaign is, a deathless run is extraordinary :] could i ask, how did the rain not start? the rain timer flashed when it was at half, but that was 7 minutes in the run. im guessing its because the 5P region pauses the timer, but does metropolis pause it too? ive never really gotten to finish that campaign so thats why im curious haha, i gotta play it again later today :P
Actually metropolis (and the top part of the wall) are above the rain line, so instead of raining it switches to night (which is why metropolis was really dark and different creatures like spiders were everywhere)
Cycle 1 then I guess..? Would it be like you’d have to meet 7 echos starting from the same shelter AND speedrun through the last area? That’s sounds awfully brutal and borderline impossible with the snow.
The time didn’t flash once unless I’m blind and the scav has a modifier, I don’t think this counts as anything officially but zero deaths is impressive still
Basically, in Five Pebbles, up the Wall and in Metropolis there is no rain since they are either a closed space or above the clouds. So he just needed to get to 5P in 15 minutes, after which there was no risk of rain (it just gets dark).
