Bernie Lomax Thanks for the literary correction. I sometimes overlook these things especially since I work odd hours and I'm exhausted half the time. "YOU ARE " right teacher
Came here after watching the Rick Beato interview check it out.. so inspiring. Josh is so humble and talented and Rick gives the best interviews . blessings to all 🙏
I love Josh Freese... he is an awesome drummer and a great person... I fell in love with his drumming style when I heard the 13th Step album from A perfect Circle
Such a blessing to have a wonderful family as well as being able to love the work that you do. There is absolutely no guilt in having both. You have to earn it!
🎉😊🎉😊🎉😊🎉😊🎉 Congrats, josh with best drum-job in the whole world!‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ I'll probably see you live in Holland. Good luck and enjoy‼️🍀‼️💚‼️🍀‼️ 🎊🥁🎊🥁🎊🥁🎊🥁🎊
Josh is an amazing drummer, full of great energy and he will be remembered for many things. But those first two a perfect circle albums are true works of art. Music like that comes around once in a lifetime because the musicians in that band melded p e r f e c t l y … and Josh was part of that. 🙏🏻
Holy poop clapper, tink I just found out I'm same age as josh, kool. He is a massively talented bloke. My mammy said to me once, Never, ever ever ever give up on the things you love or have passion over your kids... Cheers fa tears of smiles josh x
One of the very top punk rock drummers who has a sideline in being a serious musician with bands like NIN and A Perfect Circle. That makes him pretty unique.
Just a straight solid dude. First time I became aware of JF was saw him play with Perfect Circle touring with NIN debuting Mer de Norms. Really started paying more attention to him and his career and really upped my obsession when he started playing with Trent Resnor.
nobody gets to be that successful without a level of humility and professionalism - too many mediocre drummers out there who think they're gods because they've literally never been exposed to anything better
In 1993 Josh and Matt Winnegar forming a band called Slider,, and has 1 released album called "Sudden Fun". I was had that album, but now i lost it ,fuck. It'a good album and there's good songs in that album. Hmm..
Idea: Josh Homme and Josh Freese start a White Stripes esque type guitar and drum band called Josh(2) as in Josh squared or Josh squared away. They're both musical geniuses, so I only see amazing things happening.
I can relate to josh so much I’ve been compared to Matt Cameron and josh while my night job doesn’t allow for any real gigs outside of the wife and kids I’ve accomplished quite a bit in my tenure, I’ve opened for STP , ST on their Freedumb album morbid angle , Future leaders of the world, and many others almost won the the guitar center drum off in 2012 on the night my son was born it’s on RUclips some where , was invited to namm to demo a piece of gear from the guy that invented MIDI , met a ton of my musical heroes along the way and won respect from many of them but with my daughters birth came a pause with things but I’ve got some low budget basement covers I did if anyone wants to check them out I’m certainly a great dad first but underneath is a fire that’s never ended for the drums hope everybody stays safe and gets through these very trying times I think the worst is behind us and I look forward to playing again and seeing everybody soon
I met you a bunch. Always a gentleman. And an inspiration like no other. Wondering if you still use duct tape to tie your shoes? Cracked me up brother.
I really missed his work on that one, too. He adds so much color to Billy's song writing and arrangements. Vanishing is a prime example of what he adds.
Josh Freese played drums on the Infectious Grooves album Sarsippius Ark from 1992 when he was only nineteen years old, and man was he ever incredible with drum solos even then!! If I had to decide for myself which drummers are truly the best in the world on a scale from one to five, based on all of the ones I've listened to, it would be: 1. Neil Peart (Rush) 2. Josh Freese (Various) 3. Eric Carr (Kiss's second drummer) 4. Alex Van Halen (Van Halen) 5. Lee Harris (Grim Reaper's original drummer) ~Dutch
@Daniel DeSoto Yeah, you are right. I am joking. I've come across several other drummers that are obviously more legendary. If I had to decide who truly is best from one to ten, it would actually be: 1. Buddy Rich 2. Neil Peart 3. Aynsley Dunbar 4. Ginger Baker 5. John Bonham 6. Josh Freese 7. Eric Carr 8. Alex Van Halen 9. Max Weinberg 10. Anton Fig ~Dutch
If you knew Danny Carey then he should be on your list. But as far as the best in the world claim? Yeah these band drummers are good but nothing close to pros like Buddy Rich, Jojo Mayer, Benny Greb, Virgil Donatti, Eric Moore, Thomas Lang, etc etc
I feel so ignorant.. aperfect circle is 1 of my all time favorite bands n i knew the drummers name was Josh... but WTF.. all this time ididnt know it was JOSH FKIN FREESE! I know i know.. how could i have not known? The posters.. the vidoes the live dvd concerts, the bootleg youtube live videos, my gosh.. i mean my JOSH hardie har har.... wtf? Wow... all these years and not rezoning it was the Josh.. maybe it was the shorter blond hair..... i dont know fk! But man is this man a BEAST OF A DRUMMER ! Sorry Josh, my total bad.. well hey, 20 years later i know know! Dam...
best drummers have not made 300 albums. Scott Asheton, Dan Haugh, Dale Crover, Steven Drodz, David Lovering, Chris Ackland, Don Blair, Robert Christie, Hank Rank, Andrew Loomis, Colm O Ciosoig, King Coffey, Lev Weinstein, Jerry Nolan

Who else came here after the Foo Fighters annoucement?
Guilty here🖐🏼
Same Guilty.
Nah man, I'm here coz he's a GOAT 💥🔥
Your one hell of a drummer Josh but even a better human and family man! On behalf of all drummers, thank you

I had the pleasure of going to Junior high school with Josh and as I got older I had the pleasure of working with his dad Stan.
I love Josh Freese... he is an awesome drummer and a great person... I fell in love with his drumming style when I heard the 13th Step album from A perfect Circle
Same!
That album seems like it was almost produced AROUND him. Headphones is the only way to listen to that one.
Same here!
One of my fav drummers .
Was perfect for A Perfect Circle.

Well played. Wonderful looking family

I love this drummer. I discovered him with Sting. He can play any style with dedication and passion. One of a kind.
Always loved his drumming style.

His work in the vandals I think is his most impressive
Had no idea Josh and I had so much in common. Thanks for this lil behind the scenes 🙏
Awesome video--one of my favorite drummers ever
A humble, genuine man and a great drummer.
My favorite drummer and a influence on me and my style of playing percussion
The Best since 1972 ❤️
So very lucky doing what he loves for a living but none of it came easy.Big respect from me.
still love it!!
What a great mini doc of a great drummer... congrats and thanks!
The Man, The Myth, The Legend! Josh Freese!
From what I can see, he has his head on straight. Much respect.
Such a good drummer. Need to hear and see more of him out there blastin.

Now the new drummer of "The Foo's!"👍
Nice work, Jaxon!
Love him!
Awesome drummer
that's the sound of the 2000s pop machine right there. If your dad was the bandleader at both Disney USA you might have a chance in music industry.
My fav drummer ✔️
I just ditched the Glastonbury performance of Foo Fighters to watch this. Perfect title 👍🏻 what a pedigree drummer
I love Josh... He's my role model.

Josh is the man.
this guy needs to go down in rhythm history
my favorite drummer!
Yeah, cool doc! He was great with NIN and just as good with DEVO.
In 1993 Josh and Matt Winnegar forming a band called Slider,, and has 1 released album called "Sudden Fun". I was had that album, but now i lost it ,fuck. It'a good album and there's good songs in that album. Hmm..
Josh Freese - He inspires me and destroys my dreams of ever being a drummer at the same time. I want to be you but know I never can, so....thanks????
He s living my dream career.
He is a very achieved drummer but he really comes more across as a rock star than I thought he would.

He also played drums in Daughtry's debut album
I'm not done yet
not long enough, give a listen to one of his first records on Dweezil Zappa's Confessions
3:07 - 3:10 She's doing the Moeller technique.
Weird question but did Josh get a hair transplant? His hair is amazing.
he was great with NIN.
what song were they recording at 3:49?
Hard to tell with Josh plays on so much stuff
Slowfade playing "sleep" on Ep Tonight
