24:09 you put the wear sensor on the wrong pad. It has to be on the inner pad.

If that’s the case the car hasn’t had any issue still.

both pads has port for sensor so wouldn't make any difference! unless only inner pad has place to fit wear sensor.

@@sametoruc1347 are you serious? Look at how the sensor cable runs as it is now installed: it runs over (!) the brake disc, so it will be cut through by the brake disc. And yes he has placed 2 inner brake pads on the same side. But whatever, do as you like :)

@@fpower3425 you do not need to abuse me! I have 2014 A6 Black Edition and I changed pads twice and discs once and I also use inner brake pads for sensor but Audi uses the sensor only on one side anyway! so for rear brake pads it doesn't really matter as long as they fit and the sensor cable tight enough from what i can see is sensor wire look solid enough and enough gap from the brake disc so don't think brake disc will damage the wire 😉 as he mentioned there is no issue so far! But yes it could more accurate if he would of place the wear sensor to inner (rear) pad, that's what always do... last time I purchased rear brake pads they all came with wear sensor port on them so I could use any pad.

I don’t suppose you know the torque settings for the parts tightened back up on this job? I have to do mine as I fear I have a warped disc on the front

I didn’t take note of them. I don’t really torque anything on the suspension, brakes etc, you just get used to how tight they should be.

@@IAMASPANNER ha ha how tight should they be ? 🤣

@@theoneeyedmilkman1517 I think FT is the most commonly used measurement (f**king tight).

You are obviously a youngster going by what iv watched it is obvious its your first attempt at doing this kind of work , you had obviously pre loosened the fixed caliper bolts , because in my opinion when you applied the ratchet and socket to remove the bolt you did not have to apply any pressure to loosen them . The New discs again in my opinion should have been cleaned with brake cleaner , unless they came pre cleaned, Another fault you left dirty oily manky finger marks on a New disc that is Taboo when working on car brakes , unless you cleaned them off camera , And when fitting New discs on to the hub after your half hearted attempt at wire brushing it you should have applied a thin coat of copper ease so they will come off easily the next time, NO need for hammering , NOW THEN THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS DONT USE YOUR BARE INDEX FINGER TO APPLY COPPER EASE AS IT IS HIGHLY TOXIC , USE A HALF INCH PAINT BRUSH INSTEAD, Get an aerosol of brake cleaner to clean gruby oily greasy finger marks of New roundy brakey things , and if you have to hammer things off get yourself a 4lb lump hammer one thump and it's off , Purchase a decent set of ratchet ring spanners i noticed you removing the small slider bolt with an open end spanner that is the quickest way to round of the head of small bolts ,Take all these comments onboard as iv been working on all type of cars for the last 55 years , So none of my comments about your workmanship are ment to be derogatory iam just trying to help you .
