@@stuartd9741 absolutely agree. I've been nearly to the point of wanting to really mess something up once, but it took a LOT of provocation and a special kind of douche to push me to pure rage. I get where Rob is coming from, but he like many others I guarantee don't care a tiny bit about middle to lower class workers. Completely and utterly sucks, and is messed up beyond belief. The fact that Rob made it a point to really make fun of this driver makes me and I'm sure others from the looks of some comments really not like him. Makes him look like a snob himself.
They updated the story that the driver was hired 4 days before this event, he was upset he got a 2019 truck vs a 2020 truck, and that he only got one load. The reason was that he was consider unstable by the people he worked with. Which makes sense considering what he did after.
Anyone else was hoping for a update about the guy who scam him ?

I’m a truck driver. The story in Chicago is that the company was going bankrupt and the CEO didn’t tell anyone and everyone worked for about two weeks with no pay. If the same thing happened to me and they couldn’t register my truck Id drove my Peterbilt 579 right over it too

You’re wrong Rob, that happened in my neighborhood and I know the guy indirectly. He ran over the Ferrari because the boss didn’t pay him and actually stole money from the driver (90% trucking companies steal money from drivers on loads). There’s 20 trucking companies in my area that do the same thing, I even know drivers that went to the police to report money stolen from them by their bosses, bottom line is, companies can steal money from working people and get away with it because they have the money for lawyers so I’m glad this at least lost a car that he likes.
The good thing that CAN come of this is that the story exposes the corruption in the trucking industry and hopefully, eventually, results in something better for truckers. Just trying to be optimistic here. Don't know a thing about the industry.
i live in milwaukee, chicago is a cess pool full of slavs who start these trucking companies only to get rich and screw their drivers. i dont blame the guy running over captain fuckasses car. i drive too, wouldn't do it myself in this situation, but im not suprised it happened.

I drive trucks, my old company suspended me for 3 days when I complained about my truck breaking down. The truck had problems daily and eventually caught on fire at a red light.
Considering this one could almost understand driving a company vehicle over bosses car.

I used to have a 1996 GMC Sierra. Every time I pulled into work and seen a car or truck parked into 2 spots I would park next to them as close as I could. It got keyed very often. But didn't care it was a $400 truck.
UPDATE: If anyone is wondering what happened. This was in Chicago. He was a new hire the company had issues with a few days after employment. They let him go without full compensation. He got pissed and this happened.
There's a builders firm at the bottom of my village that run about 20 fifteen year old vans. They bought one new van and gave it to their longest serving employee who stayed about half a mile up the road at the top of the village. They got a new guy in that lived about 15 miles away and during a spell of bad winter weather they gave the newer van to him so that he had a more reliable source of transport to get into work. The long serving employee was given one of the fifteen year old vans and after work on the day of the exchange he took it a couple of miles outside the village and rolled it into a field in a rage. I'm not sure how he explained that to the boss when he only lived a half mile from the yard.

As a truck driver, trucking companies are required to maintain a certain insurance deductible, by the fmcsa a minimum of $750,000. Which, since this was an vehicle accident, the boss can more than likely get $750k for his Ferrari from his own insurance company.

I have only been fired from a job twice in my life. My first job, I was working for this luxury new car dealership. I was a parts delivery driver, very low pay and I hated that job. And when I got fired, all I did was grab the work truck keys and couple of those special keys from Germany that I had in my pocket because earlier I was moving new cars around. I was so mad that I hid the keys around the dealership; ok, I made it into a scavenger hunt for the coworkers to do and I thought of it within 6 minutes of being fired. Boy that company and my ex-coworkers were mad at me. My last pay check was like $112., which is garbage for a week 40 hour job. It took them 2 weeks to find them and it is the best $112. check I ever lost. I say that because they refuse to pay me but they lost thousands looking for Keys. So I felt so much better.
The employee may have "forgotten" to set the parking brake on the company-owned truck.

I suspect this was an actual accident. The car is parked in a loading bay meant for a rig. He probably pulled in to back up. He couldn't see the car and ran over it.
