Dumbarton’s Drums, a lovely song sung so beautifully, love this whole video. Fond memories of Sir Jimmy Shand and company. I have danced at the Letham Village Hall with Jimmy Senior and Junior playing,Wonderful memories. Thank you so very much.

Why can't we have an hour of a modern version of this on TV on New Year's Eve instead of the trash the networks serve up nowadays?

Absolutely! We, when young came home to listen to Andy Stuart on the radio ,then on tv.

I remember all the bandmembers, we had a television, in a cabinet with doors and a tiny cathode ray screen. Very expensive, tv was B&W of course, not transmitting all day.
