when i was 19 in december 2012 i was diagnosed with a glioblastoma and the doctors gave me 3 months of life again at the end of december i was operated and i got my tumor surgically removed and doctors gave me a maximum of 2 years of life now at the end of 2020 it's almost 8 year that i'm "cancer free" and my doctors said that i'm in a very low percentage of survivors of this particular type of tumor, i know every struggle your sister has faced and i'm very sorry that she didn't make it through this hell, i randomly found this video on youtube but it hit me like a punch in the stomach when i heard your sister crying for the same things i have faced, stay strong, your sister must be very proud of you and believe me even if she left this "world" she is near you every single day of your life.
i give you a big hug from Italy
    .
    sorry for my bad english.

thank you all for your nice words, if anyone of you will ever need some more informations about the hospital where i was operated or any other kind of informations, like my diet or my lifestyle don't hesitate to contact me.
I will leave here some basic contacts for all of you:
I was operated in the hospital "Borgo Trento" located In Verona (Italy)
      telephone: 045 812 11 11
I know i live on the other side of the world for the most of you, but for me this is the hospital that saved my life, and i will never be able to thank them enough for that, and i hope they can do the same for you.
Also some final conclusion: after all this “path” of radiotherapy, chemotrapy and themodal, i live my life like a normal person, i can drive, read, run and do every other thing without any problem, i even stopped to take my anti epilessy pills and i don't need them anymore in my life.
I hope this message can help all of you.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your sister. My aunt fought really hard and actually beat breast cancer, only to then get brain cancer. She declined very fast and the steroids made her head and face swell so much she was almost unrecognizable. She ulitmately passed away after suffering for many months. Cancer is such an awful thing for anyone to go through. Thank you for sharing your sister's story to bring more awareness.

Rest in peace Charlotte. You are such a beautiful soul who has effected so many people.
And to whoever needs to hear it and especially to Charlotte's family: life isn't about your final moments. It's the moments that lead up to them. Whilst her journey was unjustly short and difficult because of her loved ones she had a rich life. Not many people can say that. She was such an intelligent young woman and I loved her approach to how she dealt with things. She was (and is) such an inspiration to me when I was younger and going through my illness.

You sister was a beautiful woman... I see Charlottes beautiful blue eyes when I see you & your mothers... First of all I could listen to you talk all day... that accent and your being handsome helped... but it was the pure heartache and honestly that I felt from you... You didn't have to make this video, but you being a real man, wanted to help others & keep your sisters memory alive... I hope your family can enjoy the memories of that beautiful soul💗

I can relate to the things you said alot. My sister passed away from cancer 4 years ago and she was my only sibling. Seeing her getting worse and worse over almost 5 years, reading goodbye letters and seeing the nasty sides of cancer treatment left some really big scars and I think they will stay forever... The best thing we can do is to make our sisters proud and to fight back whenever our past is trying to drag us down. I'm trying to appreciate life as much as I can and I hope you can do that too. It hurts but that only shows how much we care.

I've watched Charolette's channel, personally found it after discovering my own brain cyst. I am SO IN LOVE with this video, the STRENGTH WE GET FROM THOSE WE'VE LOST is by far the ultimate lesson I have learned from grief. Good job brother for being able to find the strength hiding in the confusion of death, it can be the biggest asset for coping long term. my brother passed away in a freak accident last month at 33. The thought of not being an uncle is something I've also thought of. There are so many strange realizations around very fundamental ways of perceiving who I am and what my life was supposed to be like that are now incorrect. My sister is now the oldest sibling. I will be older than my brother one day. I will have lived longer without him than with him when I am in my 50s. He was always supposed to do the scary life things first, and let me watch and learn so it wasn't so intimidating. Getting a house, moving in with his girlfriend, getting married, having kids. The idea of him as a role model is something I had no idea was so fundamentally built in to the way I viewed my own life. It's ridiculous how ingrained some of these things are to who you are as a person, and you never realize it until that thing is missing. The equation of how you view the world is now missing a variable that you never thought about, because why would it ever not be there?

I am so sad that you lost your sweet sister. No one deserves that. Your words are so touching and powerful...I can’t imagine the loss and the sadness. Your love for Charlotte shines through with every word that you speak,...and brought me to tears for you and for Charlotte fighting so hard against a monstrous foe that is cancer. Bless you. Charlotte would be so touched and proud of your loving words.
My recommendation, if you can bear it...tell us a pot Charlotte and you growing up as siblings. I need to hear more about who she was in life...before cancer💗💗

Very brave of you to come on and do this video. i know the pain never goes away. I lost my best friend to cancer (lymphoma) in 2007 and watching Charlotte's videos in 2017 reminded me what an inspiration some people can be even in the hardest of times. Charlotte would be proud of your achievements.
I'm not religious or even particularly spiritual, but sometimes I wonder if there is something else - just the other day I was listening to some music by an artist I'd been introduced to by my best friend three decades previously and all through the following day I felt a strange serenity even whilst doing a drudgy job.

What you said about your loved one wanting you to succeed and live your life hit home for me. It is a very comforting thought and very true. You give hope that there are goals to work towards and comfort in nature. Grief is difficult and it’s hard. There are some haunting memories, traumatic memories, but there is always recovery. Never forgetting, ever, but carrying on alongside her spirit and memory and acting in her behalf; living your life in a way in which she’d approve. Much love to you and your mum x 🕯 💕

I’m sorry for your loss. I found this channel because I was looking for things about grief. I lost my older brother in 2016 and from my experience I found it difficult when I turned 40 because he was 39 when he died. So I am now older than my older brother and for some reason that really upset me and it feels wrong. I also feel sad that I can’t be an aunty and unfortunately, due to medical reasons I can’t have children so I can’t be a mother either. My mum and dad will never be grand parents and it’s just all really sad. I worry about getting older and having to deal with elderly parents on my own now that my brother has gone. I also feel sad when I see all our family photo albums and think who will those photos go to when I die. I just sobbed and sobbed when I saw them on the shelf in my mums house. What was the point of my family when it all ends with me. Sorry that’s depressing, but these are things that losing sibling brings up. I feel like when you lose a sibling you lose part of your history because nobody knows what your childhood was like only you and your sibling. Anyway, I hope you are doing ok. Take care and best wishes to you and your family.

I’m really sorry this has happened to you. It’s so horrific how it slowly took her away, piece by piece, and clearly suffering. It’s an inspiration, that she wanted to document the rawness of the condition, and it makes people talk about it, which is the most important thing to start doing. I honestly wish I had known her, as she clearly is a lovely person, who had a short, but I’m sure an exciting life, surrounded by people who loved her, and cherished her to bits. No-one knows truely what someone is going through, so please be kind, always.

I lost my mom to Glioblastoma Multiform when I was just 20 yrs old.
She was diagnosed in April 07 and passed away Feb 08
It WAS HORRIBLE. I will never ever forget my mom not being able to talk, the swelling from the steroids, the seizures. I miss her so much. It's 4am and I decided to search, periodically I do search to see how the treatments are doing or coming along. I hate it.

She was a beautiful soul inside and out. Her suffering reminds me of my fathers ... his passing was a long dragged out torture. He had Parkinson’s Disease for 25 years. Not only was my dad traumatized but the whole family as well watching him suffer like no one we had ever seen. A loving family man who worked hard for all of us. It still hurts us all and the earth seems a little darker without him. We know he’s being rewarded for his faithfulness to God even during the worst of days. Never faltered not even once or asked why him. Although your sister was much younger the loss is the same. She made me really appreciate my life and the blessing I take for granted. I thank her for that gift. So smart too. The kind of stranger you feel would be someone you would love to become friends with. I’m sad for her and your family. I could only dream of having a brother to love me and speak for me like you do for her. I know you miss her. She is definitely at peace and she left her love for you to hold on to. Lean on Jesus. He will carry you through and she will see you all again. 🙏🏼♥️😌

Charlotte is lucky she had such an amazing brother, you're a kind soul. My brother and I never talk, he's a really immature and judgmental guy. You're what brothers should be and I think it's amazing that you continue to make videos on her channel. Heart of gold! I'm sorry again for your loss, I can't even imagine how you must feel.

Hi again. As a mother I completely understand how it’s even harder for your mum to cope with this terrible situation. I’ve always felt sure if anything happened to my 33 yr old daughter and she did not survive I would take lots of pills and join her. It’s absolutely amazing to me how your mother has been so composed and organised despite the unbearable pain etched across her lovely face and the.way she cherished every little thing about her daughter. As I was hated by my mother for being a girl and enduring years of beatings and humiliations on her each and every whim ,I find myself in my sixties still wishing I had that beautiful mother daughter relationship.I knew my father loved me but he seemed frightened to show it in case it triggered another jealous outburst from my mother. I know you maybe don’t believe in spirits or an afterlife but I have had so many strange happenings that I’m the total opposite. For instance in the house I currently occupy radios TVs and kettles occasionally switch themselves on.Taps have turned themselves on and even the W.c flushed itself twice. I feel no ones life is in vain. I feel our soul leaves our body and maybe enters another reality or another planet.I wouldn’t be surprised if some little coincidences or unexplained occurrences starte happening. One I spoke to my brother in the middle of the night and asked a question at which point my cat jumped down and ran into the kitchen .I saw something flashing thinking it must be lightning but as I entered the kitchen a light with a useless exploded bulb in its centre started flashing. When I asked the question of my brother I also asked if he was saying yes I forgive you,a light flash. Only I had asked the question in the bedroom but got my answer in the kitchen where the cat had ushered me. I really hope that Charlotte see you even if you can’t see her. Of course she would be utterly proud her humble genius of a brother had made it into Cambridge. You are a beautiful family and I hope one day not too far away something will happen that will bring a sense of joy and true happiness. These things happen very slowly but boy are they worth waiting for. Love from Corinne
