  • Slideshow from the build process of my Top Flite 60 Corsair kit, and some flight videos.
This project lasted almost 10 years, because I abandoned it serveral times. It is a sport scale reproduction of an F4-U5 version lie the ones used by the Argentina Navy between 1956 and 1965. In the following link are some videos from the personal archive of one of the actual pilots of the Corsair at that time: • UNICO: completo video ... .
Flight videos of the model where shoot by Esteban Fernandez for his Facebook Page "Clubes de Aeromodelismo": / clubesdeaeromodelismo .
    The model is equiped with:
    Engine: OS FS-95V, 15x8 prop.
    Retracts: Robart #615 pneumatic mains,
    #121 Tailwheel, and #650 Robo-Struts.
    Radio: Futaba S6206SBW FASST S-Bus reciever, 3 x S9072SB
    + 4 x S9071SB servos.
Covering: Monokote Flat Gull Gray, Flat Black and White.
    Klasskote epoxy paint.

Nice job. I'm getting ready to start building the RedBox version of this. 90 four stroke. Going will all electric retracts and door sequencer's.

I've just came across this video and I'm super pleased but surprised at how I don't find any "atta-boy"s for the work you've put into this. The history of your build, supporting documentation, and details you've built into this production are superb. I wish more people could provide back stories and documentation too. This is the type of hobby I enjoy. The info you've supplied and the resulting air-frame is commendable to say the least. You've even made it available for multi language. I am very impressed with your project - Kudos! I'll be following for more of your flying fun. Thanks for sharing. (edited additional) I almost forgot to compliment the videographer, good job!

Very nice build. I have one on the work bench I’m trying to complete. I hope I can match the quality of your build.

Very nice video and build. Next winter I will start on mine. What degree retracts did you use. 95 or 100 degree. Thanks

That’s awesome! I have that same kit in the stash waiting to be built. Kinda scared of the hull wing sheeting.

Thank You! The wing sheeting is tricky, indeed. Two tips: pay special atention on the grain orientation suggested in the manual, and do the top side first and sand it before sheeting the bottom. The top front third just on the wing benting is the hardest part and after sanding (thus shaping) it may get to thin. If you have the bottom unsheeted, you can easily add more balsa, or (as it was in my case) some fiberglass reinforcement.
