- #Inktober but for #OilPainting this challenge has got me thinking deeply - Changing my mind & learning from my paintings. Painting daily is really hitting now and I feel like I've achieved a groove and can work more economically as I go. (The fourth painting only took just over an hour in real time!)
Just want to again thank Lena Danya for spurring this oils version of the October Drawing challenge last year & being so encouraging painting away with the rest of us over on instagram.

Great master study! I was surprised when I saw a Bougereau painting in person that the brush strokes were evident. I always thought that he blended heavily. How money affects the artist is an interesting topic. I've had to learn on a shoestring budget, but it's easier now than ever thanks to the internet.
Great point! Even as I was growing I thought having access to encyclopedia encarta was a huge advantage to see more art on a computer but the internet wealth of knowledge is such an amazing tool for new learners

As always love your work. Is that paper available in the USA? Oiltober almost over whoohooo 😂 this week is so hard for me. I’m finally caught up until today 😢 but I will catch up and post Thursday night. Keep it up we almost there!
