国道32号線は、愛媛県の宇和島市から高知県の須崎市までを結ぶ、四国地方を代表する観光道路の一つです。全長は約180キロメートルで、途中には四国山地を越える峠道や、渓谷沿いの景勝地などが点在しています。
以下に、国道32号線の豆知識をいくつか紹介します。
四国八十八ヶ所霊場との関係：国道32号線は、四国八十八ヶ所霊場の中でも特に有名な、金刀比羅宮とその奥宮である金刀比羅神社を通ります。そのため、多くの参拝者や巡礼者がこの道を利用します。
鳴門大橋との関係：国道32号線は、徳島県鳴門市の鳴門海峡に架かる鳴門大橋と接続しています。鳴門大橋は、四国と本州を結ぶ重要な橋梁の一つであり、国道32号線を通じて四国と本州を結ぶルートの一部を担っています。

About National Route 32 🚗.
National Route 32 is one of the major tourist roads in the Shikoku region, connecting Uwajima City in Ehime Prefecture to Susaki City in Kochi Prefecture. It is approximately 180 kilometers long, and is dotted with mountain passes over the Shikoku Mountains and scenic spots along valleys along the way.
Below are some trivia about National Route 32.
Relationship with the 88 sacred sites of Shikoku: National Route 32 passes by Konpira Shrine and its inner shrine, Konpira Shrine, which are particularly famous among the 88 sacred sites of Shikoku. Therefore, many worshippers and pilgrims use this road.
Relationship with Naruto Bridge: National Route 32 connects with the Naruto Bridge, which spans the Naruto Straits in Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture. The Naruto Bridge is one of the most important bridges connecting Shikoku and Honshu, and is part of the route connecting Shikoku and Honshu through National Route 32.
Mountain passes over prefectural borders: National Route 32 passes through the Shikoku mountainous region, so there are several mountain passes that cross prefectural borders along the way. In particular, the Himegamori Pass on the border between Ehime and Kochi Prefectures is about 1,000 meters above sea level, and is sometimes closed in winter due to snow accumulation.
Relationship with hot spring resorts: There are many hot spring resorts along Route 32 that are representative of Shikoku. In particular, the hot spring resorts of Dogo Onsen and Matsuyama City in Ehime Prefecture attract many tourists.
