- Our motorhome journey on the Scottish NC500 continues when we leave beautiful Sango Sands Oasis campsite at Durness and drive south towards Ardmair, Ullapool. On the way we stop off at the Bone Caves to visit these prehistoric caves where large numbers of animal bones have been found during excavations, including Polar Bears! The weather was wild and a sudden injury puts our entire tour in jeopardy.

Enjoyed your NC500 videos. I've had several trips to Ardmair with an old GF, whose gran used to live in the houses along from the campsite. Such a special place.

We live near you at Apperley Bridge, we're doing the NC500 in May next year in our Van which we've had around 3 years, already done many places in Scotland, exactly same as yours... Great Vlog. 😊😊

Oh no a twanged leg, Andy automatically reaches for food 😂 should have done limbering up first thing instead of a lay in with a sausage and bacon butty. You handle the motorhome really well. The waterfall in the way to the bone caves was lovely. Lucky the calf wasnt that bad so hope it stays ok. You will have to have another trip there to see the caves! 😂 Another great video thanks for sharing. 👍 Elaine, Mike, Samuel and Thomas 😍😎👬,

We loved the Bernard Castle area. If you have time nip up to the TanHill Inn, the highest pub in Great Britain. It’s very remote and the drive up is beautiful.

Beautiful, it reminds me of imch beach off the coast of annascaul in Ireland. Claire, I think you need to get Andy insured, lol. Such a shame you walked all that way and couldn't get to see the caves. Hope your leg heals OK. Great video again guys. Keep them coming ❤

Yes we could basically see the entrance to the caves and had to turn around 😬 All that wind for nothing 😂 😂 😂
@Stchristopherofatlantis if you do visit Ireland, be sure to go up conners pass. It's absolutely breathtaking. It's a tricky drive, though, as the mountain has very narrow roads
. If it's still there, there's a cafe that sells hand-made pure wool jumpers and other Irish trinkets. I think the beach below was featured in the film Ryan's daughter. There's a village also called Dingle and (not sure if the resident dolphin is still alive), but his name is Fungi.

As long as there was no crutch grabbing with your MJ moves. By you, not Claire. I'd visions of mountain rescue. Did the bloke come down and play the bagpipes by the loch at Ardmair? He did a couple of mornings when we were there. The twist out moves looked like an odd version of Thriller. Hope you are on the mend soon, sure Claire will kiss it better. Xx

We stayed in Ullapool last June during heatwave ah happy days the seaforth pub fish&chips £19.95 pint of lager £7.00 each and card payments only as you can guess we just laughed at the prices and walked away 🤷🏼♂️🤬
£20 for fish and chips. Crikey!
@@Stchristopherofatlantis they had some other shops at the side as well like ice cream and prices where just ball busting especially if you where a family on holiday unacceptable! . For our second week we drove down to Northumberland and stayed in Alnmouth great beaches up there ,but again f&c £18.00 everything was like this is the norm now what are you going to do about it attitude ! Wood stove pizza £15.00 and maybe medium in size 🤷🏼♂️ just so glad the local council was short staffed that week and couldn’t empty the bins 🤣
I feel bad for you Andy. Im 3 weeks into a calf tear or torn achilles tendon, not sure which yet (still waiting for a scan). My leg was in plaster for 2 weeks and now Im in a boot for at least 2 weeks. Did you get it looked at? Great video by the way, very funny 😂
