In my Opinion. I have to say Final Fantasy is the Best RPG ever made.
Every final fantasy has a unique difference among the rest.
But its final fantasy in general that made such amazing worlds and endless fantasies for many generations to explore.
Even if its too hard to decide which is the best. But i doubt there will ever be the perfect final fantasy. Cause there be no point in playing the other ones if there was only one final fantasy that was the best and always the best.
I play all of the them to gain the full experience that came with these games, and I'm happy that they helped through out my childhood.

But in Kingdom Hearts? That would be Ansem, the Seeker of Darkness.
He traps 13 worlds in the Realm of Darkness and opens a portal to Kingdom Hearts. In the end, he's defeated because his theory about Kingdom Hearts being darkness proves to be wrong.
Hell, he even gets 2 for 2 in Kingdom Hearts 2!

Mostly because those to games were the majority of people's entry to the series and when anyone talks about it, it's those two that are brought up.
My intro to the series was X. And that was just by watching my babysitter's daughter play it when I was younger.
Man these videos are basically what final fantasy fans have been arguing about for years.
Basically? These characters are using the exact same arguments that FF fans use... with a few exceptions.

Cloud: Sales numbers and Tifa's tatas, keeps it short and blunt.
Squall: insults other sequels directly while focusing on the junction system, ironically highlighting how broken it is. Never mentions the actual plot.
Zidane: Casually enjoys listing off high points and flirts with the interviewer/audience while casting shade
Tidus: Actually tries to list the best qualities of his game, still manages to sound whiny and sneaks in his abomination of a laugh
Nice job tying in their personalities into some fun subtle critiques here and there if you read between the lines.

Imma be honest, so far I’ve played VII, VI, IX, I, IV, and X, and IX has my least favorite soundtrack of the bunch (not including 1 because that’s not fair). I still like it, it’s just not as consistently amazing as the others are to me.

Apart from a few standouts (Jenova's & Aerith's theme), 90% of them are just basic one note songs or a bunch of random notes that are just thrown together to form a song (Sephiroth's original theme, the cave theme, Barret's home theme). Also, don't get me started on the boss battle theme. It's the worst boss battle theme of all time...I don't even consider it a boss battle theme. Whatever song FF7 had, FF9 always had a better version of it. Bring up Aerith's theme and we can counter that with Melodies of Life. Nobuo Uematsu has also stated that FF9 is his favourite soundtrack out of all FF titles.
@@badmeetsevil6163 hard disagree, I love nearly every song in the VII soundtrack with a couple exceptions, but my favorites aren’t even the ones you’ve mentioned, among them would be “Forested Temple” “Buried in Snow” “Listen to the Cries of the Planet” and like at least 5 other ones, Sephiroth’s original theme included. It’s sinister and threatening in a way that works perfectly when it pops in the first time. It’s my second favorite soundtrack of the FF games, right being VIII (I don’t like VIII but it’s soundtrack is incredible).
Also Uematsu is perfectly valid to consider 9’s soundtrack his favorite, doesn’t mean I have to agree with him though.

I thought Irvine was the sniper...who choked up on their mission leading them to get captured and in prison. To be fair Edea was their mother figure but he was the only one who remembered (others had plot device GF amnesia).

Lightning basically gets superpowers at random points and never does anything while outright complaining the entire time, not to mention the implied racisms and other criticisms, like making no progress throughout the entire game as you walk in a straight line XD

The words "inner turmoil" and "strife" refer to how emo characters suffer for being hated by the ignorant and easily offended.
Also, Squall isn't selfish. He just thinks his allies can handle themselves and sees no reason to help them. If Squall really was selfish, he would think that he is the only important person and would not care about other people.
But Squall does care and is not a selfish.

And yes, storytelling that doesn't lazily rely on the most overplayed tropes of The Heroes Journey? Heaven forbid anybody should read anything else that Campbell, or other great scholars of narrative, wrote. Seriously, playing Final Fantasy VI as a child helped me appreciate Tolstoy. Kefka wanted the world to suffer. He wanted the world to wither meekly until there was nothing left.
Monsters died on their own in over world battles, the land slowly sunk into the ocean and plants simply could not grow.
Letting the heroes live was meant to give them one last ray or false hope, he let them gather their allies and make a last stand. Because nothing is more devastating than seeing the last bit of hope destroyed.
It wasn't a quick victory where everyone was dead instantly because then he couldn't enjoy the suffering of a damned world.
There really should be a villains perspective. Ultimecia is likely the most successful villain in the series. She was defeated while absorbing the universe, god knows how many planets and stars she absorbed until she was defeated. Kuja destroyed an entire planet, completely destroyed it. Kefka kinda destroys a planet and becomes the god of magic, so technically he fulfilled his goals, but still got defeated. Sephiroth fails at his goal. Exdeaths goal was questionably good or bad, but he failed. I wouldn’t call Jecht or Golbez villains. Garland succeeded for awhile until he didn’t. Never played 11 or 14. Vaynes goal was actually fairly virtuous. The cloud of darkness succeeded and then failed. Ardyn pulled a Kefka, succeeded and failed.
We gonna see Vaan, Lightning and Noctis ever? XD

Mystic quest was my first FF game and it has the best music.
The story was generic and the team composition is disappointing after playing the others with their 3 to 4 member teams.
Kaeli should have been the partner in the final battle instead of Phoebe since her attack was garbage making her completely useless without spells while Kaeli could do both melee and spell damage.

I would like VI if it didn't permanently gimp your character every time you level up prior to getting Espers to equip. The OCD bastard in me goes insane when I level up in that game.
@Amenomihashira I know, right? I try as much as I can, but I'm too obsessive and can't forget! I'll always remember having a pleasant time with the story, some of the music, certain characters, and the neat moody scenery. Also - in my opinion - the best-looking character models in FF until at least IX. VII's out-of-combat character models are an abomination, and VIII's are passable.
No one cares about Enix Fantasy.
And to see Celes acting like Vanille?...no thanks, I don't want the makers of today to piss on the master piece that was FFVI.
@@TheGoul29 Seems unlikely. The FFVII characters seem to be acting similarly to their original counterparts, so I see no evidence to support your hypothesis. If anything, I'd be concerned that Celes might be portrayed as TOO stoic, in which case it would make the opera pure comedy a la the "Coo like a dove" scene in Tales of Berseria, rather than what was intended in FFVI.
While 6 is really the best in my opinion, I love how Squall responded to all the hate on his game.

They both rejected their upcoming and got crazy of the experiments (mako vs magicks) and they had a God complex with final forms with angel wings..... come on 😆😆😆😆
Cloud was not very developed and was way too emo in the first ffvii, the remake fixed that.
FFVII story was copied from FFVI, the half breeds, mako energy, the Avalanche group vs the Returners, etc.
Ultima weapon from 6 gave ultima sword as well.
Biggs and Wedge came from 6 with most modern summons etc.
Look at aeris theme it comes from terras theme as well.
The next age consoles gave ffvii a wider grasp for advertising,

Yes, Zidane's tail is definitly one of the reasons why 9 is the best! I mean...the tail! That's all you gotta say. And that other thing it's good for...I'll just assume it's for the fan service, 'cause...the tail! It's cute! And soft and...THE TAIL!!!!
My favorite games from worst to best based from 1-10.
10. VIII (A clear ripoff of my favorite game.)
9. II (Only for those looking for a guilty pleasure.)
8. III (Created the job system, but the story is basically I.)
7. X (Just mainly Tidus being the main character, blitzball, and some horrible story beats.)
6. V (Perfected the job system, the light and dark motif, but again like I.)
5. I (Simple plot, first game, reinvented the turn-based system, and iconic music.)
4. IV (The ATB meter, great music, memorable moments, and mostly great characters and bosses, even though the original is too easy, Edward sucks, and it's a melodrama.)
3. IX (Gives back the lightheartedness tone, celebrates the series, comical, and worthwhile moments.)
2. VI (A huge ensemble, even though some of them suck, Terra, iconic music, espers and how to get spells, tragedy and comedy, a grand story, memorable moments, great side content, and a pure chaotic villain.)
1. VII (A smaller but mostly memorable team, unforgettable music, Materia, a serious tone with some moments of comedy, unforgettable scenes, a villain who I will admit can never top Kefka, a modern aesthetic with underlying themes of nature, one of the most recognizable video game protagonists, the best-seller of the series, lots of lore even if the game has become oversaturated with other games and media, superbosses, and mini-games that for the most part don't suck.)
As for the Rabtoons parodies:
10. V (Some of the humor was childish and not funny, and the chocobo noises got on my nerves real fast.)
9. II (The story does not lend itself to really good humor, and the Emperor can never hold a candle to Kefka.)
8. I (To be fair, there wasn't any material to go off of.)
7. IV (Suicide humor is subjective, Edward just sucks, and Edge missed his cue. Oh, and Cain quits his own parody.)
(The intro is still the best part.)
6. III (I think it's a little better because of the Onion Knight version, but that's maybe all.)
5. VIII (This game is ridiculously convoluted anyways. Robin Williams guy was maybe the only best part.)
4. VI (I think it's because there's too many characters that this parody suffered a bit.)
3. IX (The game lends itself to a lot of humor to begin with.)
2. X (I think the self-awareness lead to some really wacky moments.)
1. VII (I admit that VII is not a perfect game, and was okay when there were jokes thrown at its expense. I didn't intentionally want VII to be my favorite parody, but I thought it had the best material and didn't really too much on any of the other games for references and characters.)
Hahaha, I love how you can tell this is over multiple takes. Sort of lends itself some authenticity with people mulling over different points.

@@scarletrose8766 No she really wasn't. There's maybe an argument that you could make that she was the protagonist of the first half of the game but even then she spends a great deal of time outside of the party while the story focuses on other characters.
And in the second half of the game the focus switches entirely to Celes as Terra isn't even needed to beat the game and there isn't much for her to do in the second half outside of being re-recruited.
FF6 didn't force a protagonist character on your party because it had no real protagonist. It was an ensemble story where you could make arguments for Terra, Locke, and Celes being the protagonists at different points of the game.
FFVII will always be my favorite.
I like how Firion didn't really provide any positives to his game but just shat talk everybody else.

Wasn’t Locke the main character in FF6? Granted Terra was definitely more important.
Yes and no all characters get to shine and I belive anytime Terra is in the party shes the party lead I think unless you can change that but anyway all characters has thier own arc but the main plot revolves around Terra ..... Locke is a party member and not to mention Terra is on the cover of FF6 title heck the game started off as seeing Terra in a magitech armor suit usually they don't show the villains that you can play ...... On a standpoint usually FF in general would show the Main hero at the very start as far as I know ..... Soooo when you play FF6 you don't immediately get introduced to Locke ...... You get introduced to 3 people on a magitech armor one of which is girl with ???? Name if I remember and its Terra ..... Now dial back to a few FF games the moment FF1 starts we get the 4 main cast ...... FF2 starts with firion and the others fleeing .... FF4 Cecil on his ship...... FF5 Bartz then we have FF6 where its Terra who got shown at the start of the game the game only gave you control of Locke so that you can get Terra away from the bad guys also I understand why she dosent look like the mc cause she's not in the party majority of The time ........ But Locke would never have gotten involve in the main plot if he dint met Terra

2 pushed it to the limits by having the heroes (living and dead) having to fight the villain in Heaven and Hell.
3 had a complex job system on NES hardware.
4 brought an epic fantasy story before anyone else could on the SNES as well as updating the battle system.
5 mastered the job system and for the first time offered multiple endings to the player.
6 shook up the formula with multiple characters with their own motives as well as subverting conventional story structures.
7 introduced cyberpunk themes and brought the story down to more personal levels even with world ending threats.
8 showed what the ps1 was truly capable of graphically as well as giving players the possibility of breaking the game super early.
9 was a return to form showcasing substance with style while everyone involved was at their creative peak.
10 let the player explore a truly alien world while exploring complex themes and using the best battle system in the FF series.
Every Final Fantasy is great in its own way!

This was amazingly well made I just wish Terra had Green Hair as a big fan of FF6.
