    Your video is quite helpful as I go about assembling my Yardistry Greenhouse. I, like you, have found that the materials are cut and predrilled to make attachment easy. And the customer service at Yardistry is very responsive and helpful. Answered my after hours call in a few hours and emailed the additional information I requested. Many folks have asked for the dimensions of the base, here they are: See drawing on page 43 of the instructions and the additional measurements are the length of the long sides is from "Outside Post to Outside Post 7 ft. 7 1/2 inches." For the inside dimension of that same side it is "inside Post to Inside Post 7 ft. 2 1/4 inches" The shorter ends, front and back wall are: "Outside Post to Outside Post 6 ft 3 inches and inside Post to Post is 5' 9 inches." I have nothing but praise for the quality of the product and professionalism of the company. I'd say buy it with confidence. 🙂

    I'm going to be installing the base and starting the build tomorrow. This video was really helpful. I went with 4x4 lumber, and I like your trick of just laying down the base pieces to get the measurements correct. Just the information I was looking for.

      Awesome and good luck! Driving that rebar in opposing directions really secures it. Then long decking screws through the gh base!

    I just bought this Greenhouse from Costco. I'll follow your videos for assembly in the spring.

      Congrats it's less expensive now. I just saw it on the floor in Costco yesterday. Be sure to do a thorough inventory and look for warping before you start. We had numerous delays. Please be sure to attach this to a wood base with long screws and secure the base with rebar or earth anchors. We also watched the yardistrystructures.com video numerous times before starting. It sure is cute though and smells so good!! Please let me know how it goes for you and we are here if you have questions! Good luck 👍

    Here at the base of the Wasatch Mountains in Salt Lake City we can get 50 mph canyon and microburst winds. I am going to pour 6 inch wide X 16 inch deep concrete footings so my greenhouse doesn't blow away. Thanks for all your information, very good videos.

      Wow yeah I'm happy to hear you're prepared to properly anchor it down! I firmly believe a great foundation and raised base will add to the lifespan of the structure and prevent wind damage. Please share pics with us of your project. We love connecting with everyone!

      I hear you. Please be sure your foundation is level and use rebar in opposing directions if installing over earth or tamped base. Watch the yardistry video several times. Their base grid is accurate for inside and outside measurements. You've got this !!!

      @@jayr.taylor210 so exciting!! I have no regrets in in securing this base after the tornadoes went through. It didn't budge. Between the rebar in opposing directions in the base then long screws and hurricane ties to structure, I can sleep during storms!! I'm wishing you the very best. I hope assembly is a breeze!!

    Hi, Great videos! Can you please tell me the inside measurements of the 4x4 and 4x6 base? Thanks!

    • @ourbackyardgarden
      @ourbackyardgarden  Год назад +1

      Thank you for watching! I can get you the measurements. They did line up with the grid that's online for yardistry. The hard part is all of the lumber was irregular to each other. And we created an interior overhang of base since we had 4x6 on the sides. We learned during inventory and assembly, before we cut our own base, was to do a mock base assembly and lay the parts on top. This confirmed we had enough space to center the greenhouse structure. I hope that made sense.

      @@ourbackyardgarden Thanks for the quick response. Very helpful. I'm confused because it says the dimensions are 6.7 x 7.8 But the area should be 6.3 x 7.8.

    • @vgbr88
      @vgbr88 Год назад +1

      @@johnmercurio2021 Yes, I was too, but it looks like the 6.7x7.8 accounts for the overhang of the roof structure.

    • @pianofish5198

      You guys are right, the dimensions are confusing, and if you want a flush interior wall-to-foundation for plate bracketing, you must work this out in advance, not rely on the instructions.

    What were the exact lengths of your 4 x 4 boards? I just bought 24 x fours at 80.5 inches in two more at 98 inches. Are these wrong?

    • @ourbackyardgarden
      @ourbackyardgarden  Год назад

      We bought 8ft 4x4 and cut them to fit inside 4x6x8 which we did ot cut and used on the side so the side boards are longer than the structure. We used the structures base piece to determine the width. The template numbers are correct. Do a dry set up with the structures base before you cut 4x4

    So how are you securing the greenhouse to the foundation base?

    • @ourbackyardgarden
      @ourbackyardgarden  11 месяцев назад

      Thank you for watching! In the greenhouse Playlist we show how we drive long decking screws through the greenhouse to the base and they are long enough, they go through the bottom into the packed foundation. We also added hurricane straps for peace of mind.

  • @bigday4all

      This is a pressure treated base that the greenhouse gets built on top of. The greenhouse assembly is a separate video! Check out our Playlist
