Hello my friend. I really like this pedal, from all the pedals you have demo, preamp or overdrive wise this one’s the best yet far. I love the old school sound. Great demo as always.
So many sweet positions with the vibrato!! Great pedal.
Smokin’ demo as always maestro!
Your playin´is always so tasteful.
Awesome I use an EP boost in the clean channel loop So this might take it's place Been waiting for something like this Thanks Shawn
Nice work Shawn!
For a moment there (around 5:08), I thought you were gonna play Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds! Cool pedal, tasty playing. Killer OD sound at the end with the added boost pedal!
Sweet sounds and playing! Also, I thought it was cool to hear Mark Tremonti talking about how great you are the other day. Keep it up Shawn!
Mark is very kind to mention me. He's a good dude indeed! Thanks for watching Darrell!
Quite versatile
MR Tubbs could be demoing peanut butter and I am going to watch, cause you know there is going to some smooth and crunchy picken going on!!
Sold!
Great job as always Commander! I love your Suhr guitars Shawn. I just picked up a white Suhr like yours only I've got a single coil in the bridge. I had them put in a blend control in place of the bottom tone control and I really like it. My top knob is still the volume, 2nd knob is a master tone control and the last knob is the blender. If I'm using the bridge pickup I can blend in the neck pickup and if I'm using the neck pickup I can blend in the bridge pickup. If I'm in positions 2 or 4 and use the blend knob I've got all three pickups going at once. It makes for some interesting sounds. Not as loud as a humbucker but it does thicken things up. Just wondering if you had any special wiring on your single coil Suhr? I have Michael Landeau pickups in mine. Thanks for always inspiring me with your demos Shawn. They help me to keep moving forward and prevent me from playing my same worn out licks all the time
Thanks so much!!
Shawn great demo as ever, hey I notice you’ve got the StroboClip and I have read a few mixed reviews about it, mostly good but some not so good. It would be cool to have your thoughts on it.
It's the only headstock tuner I've liked. It's very accurate. It's certainly my favorite.
thanks Shawn, you’re the best!
This thing sounds killer, as is your playing, but I’ve gotta say... as a Magnatone freak/connoisseur, the drive section is mostly there, the “vibrato” sounds like a damn Roto-vibe/Uni-vibe. A good one at that, but it’s not a Magnatone. You just have to have speakers pushing air to get THAT sound. There’s no way around it. And is the reason why I still lug those huge amps around.
What do you think about the Magma ‘57?
Nice! Is that first guitar new?
Taylor Schlupp Music I’ve had that guitar for a while. I’ve used it in other demo vids.:)
@@ShawnTubbs I don't know how I haven't seen that!
I love the white Suhr you use, with the humbucker!
A request: Could you overlay the signal path at the start of the music? That would answer the question before we even ask. Easy peasy.
Hey, thanks for the suggestion. In general, I always do the same signal chain for a pedal demo. Guitar > Pedal > Suhr Bella Amp > Universal Audio OX box > Apogee Interface > Pro Tools. I could post that in the description every time, and yes I could add titles at the beginning of every video, but for the most part, I prefer to engage with viewers when it comes to answering these types of questions. I will always do my very best to answer in a timely manner. Thanks again for commenting!
@@ShawnTubbs So, you aren't miking a cab? You're using the cab ir's in the OX?
MeTuLHeD Yes, for all pedal demo videos. If it’s an amp demo I’ll still mic a cab.
nice video, Tubbs !
you beat RJ to market here by several hours..did they send this pedal to everyone in Nashville ..??
Haha, maybe so.
Digital or analog (the vbrato)? Nice
Thanks for watching. I want to say that that pedal is all analog but check with CTC to be sure.
It sounds good, but am I wrong in saying that it sounds more like a tremelo than a vibrato?
It's really based on the Magnatone style vibrato which is a true pitch shifting trem from what I understand.
Tremolo is amplitude modulation- this is pitch modulation when the switch is up and pitch and phase modulation when the switch is down.
