Kusakabe isn't a coward he is just lazy and does want to try even going as far as to avoid fighting. He is the Shikamaru of Jjk being highly intllegent but avoids going to the field as much as possible because he thinks its a drag.

It seems like what makes you strong is understanding jujutsu, not necessarily having the best or strongest technique. Sukuna wins his fights through the use of intellect, not necessarily overwhelming brute strength or a polished technique. Kusakabe seems to have a strong understanding of CE and Jujutsu as a whole, so I could see him performing well, but post black flash sukuna? eh...

Kusakabe uses a simple domain to nullify a darn Uzumaki, Getou’s one-time ultimate. Kusakabe is so powerful that he can retcon details of the manga without any explanation. Imagine, just fucking imagine Kusakabe winning against Sukuna by retconning his whole existence out of the manga.

I'm thinking that that Uzumaki feat isn't as crazy as you think..... the one vs. YUTA HAD OVER 4000 curses, powering it plus a special grade. MAHITO might be a damn strong special grade, but he is AIN'T 4k plus another special grade. Blocking any UZUMAKI is a good feat. But he aint yuta and will never be YUTA.
