@@calmehomegardenservicesllc6329 yeah I found that out after rewatching some. I used to just zip right through them without saying much. I’m working on it lol
@@dakotasamples1389 well I’m not sure if it’s 100% necessary to remove the inner drum but it sure helps with installing the new gearcase up into the tub. Because the shaft will come up and hit the drum as you are pushing and bolting the new one in.
@@dakotasamples1389 a new slider isn’t necessary. But if needed they aren’t too expensive. It’s the whirlpool spanner I think it’s tb123b. I’m 90% sure it is TB123B.
@@LAapplianceguy Thanks again, your video is very helpful. Time to order the part I guess. Ours started with a squeaking noise, and now it's a loud humming sound.
sleeping kids vibe to this video. lol most quiet repair ever. nice work

Where do you get the tool get the spanner nut off?
@@jerrylogghe8309 they been using that same one for a long time. This one is the tb123b I think is its part number.
Thanks yours looks a little heavier duty than a lot I'm seeing
@ we have had this one a loooong time. No problem thank you for watching hope the repair goes smoothly 👍
Did you need to take out the washing basket? Or could you have just pulled the gearcase from the bottom after hitting it?

@@LAapplianceguy Thanks for the quick reply. Couple more questions, is a new slider necessary? And what kind of spanner wrench should I be getting?

Sorry this was a longer one whoops. Guess I had too much fun with that one 😂
Never apologize for a long video, they're interesting...even though I hate impeller washers and basically all new new washers, lol.
