If you love that rich low register of hers you're going to LOVE getting into her earlier discography. She doesn't use that aspect of her voice as much these days, but she has an INSANE vocal range as she can go super low and ridiculously high. I totally agree with you that she's underrated as a singer. There are so many different facets to her voice and she truly uses it like an instrument.
Also you should absolutely check out the entire video for Tropico, it's a 3-song short film/music video that she wrote, and described as "a journey through sin and redemption". It's so cinematic. You also should check out the music video for her song "Ride" which is another short film, written by her which she has said is autobiographical. That's also incredibly cinematic, and it's beautiful. She's such a cinematic and visual artist which is one of the reasons I love her so much (being a filmmaker myself). She definitely has the talent to write a full movie someday and I sincerely hope she does.
Great posts, thank you! I get so much more interested when a musical artist has a strong visual point of view. It's been one of the most thrilling things about getting into Madonna on this channel and I could see Lana being that way too.
This video is a section of the Tropico short film. It’s around 30 mins long and features 3 songs from the Paradise EP. This one is actually the middle of the story, but it’s worth watching the whole thing. You hit the nail on the head with the religious aspect of it. The short film follows a story of living in eden, falling from grace and living a life of lust, greed and violence, and then finally receiving their redemption and salvation. It’s a very artistic piece of work and has a lot of surreal elements, monologues, poetry.. it’s a pretty wild ride!
My favourite current artist. I’ve seen Bowie, Lou Reed, Genesis, Roxy Music, Pink Floyd, The Who, Radiohead and many others. She’s up there with them. What I would give to have seen her at Glastonbury 2014. That entrance! Cola, Body Electric, check it out!
Absolutely love her! One of the few artists I enjoy in the past 15 years. I actually thought you knew most of her songs since you said you loved her before but I would be jumping for joy if you did the Born to Die album or even the videos on here. Ride is one of the best songs ever. She’s a huge David Lynch fan btw and I noticed your book in the background haha
I also think the bible was written by men as are all other religious texts and they are a clear reflection of the times when they were written and the mentality of that time. They are a historic document in that sense. If anyone feels offended by my views, I shall remind them that as much as they have the right to believe what they want, so do I.

Awesome, I will definitely do the whole thing at some point
Her voice is one of a kind! Many tried to imitate it but she is original!
Probably my favorite Lana song, and that is a tough choice. This video is a part of a short movie Tropico
Oh cool, I really need to see that - I got the feeling there was more of a story going on than I saw in this video. Thanks!
@@bridgethegapreactions this is perhaps her greater music video trio. You have it right - the three songs tell the biblical story.
Finally you reacted to my top favourite Lana song. Amazing reaction as always
Thank you, its such a great song!
TROPICO EP and the ULTRAVIOLENCE LP are my LDR Favs 🖤

Oh I will! I had tickets to see her in Manchester a few years ago but I think it was cancelled due to COVID - it was around that time anyway
Also, Roxy Music might be the most underrated band in the history of music.
ride next!! it's on the paradise EP
