- This video is a Lowepro Freeline 350AW BP user review, find out what I like about the bag, and what fuji gear you can put in it. Watch me on a job with the bag and see how practical and adaptable this it is. Discover key features of the bag and the things I am not so sure about. Is this the ideal camera backpack for you?, is this the best all around backpack you can buy?
The best review I had seen about this backpack. Thank you.
Ruggero Carrara thanks Ruggero!
Amazing review Anthony, thank you very much for sharing! I had been wary of the Peak Design Everyday Backpack because it looks like smaller items could easily fall between the gaps in the dividers, but it doesn't look like that will be as much of an issue with the Lowepro. Think this may be a winner!
That 200 is a beast! Looking forward to get this bag with my new fuji :D
Very informative. Thanks!
The 200 at the end of the video deserves a review too :P
kurt grima hi Kurt thanks! Yes the 200 review is next in line!
Hiya Anthony, I'm only 4 years late to your review here of the Freeline Backpack 350 AW (which I'm strongly considering to purchase) and, to also see you're teaming it with a Fujifilm X-series kit, is absolutely perfect because I also have a Fujifilm kit - X-S10 body, 18-33mm & 100-400mm.
Can I please ask you, based on those 3 items only, do you think that there would be enough room to use the Freeline Backpack as both my camera bag but also as a carry-on travel bag. I'm really hoping I could get my camera gear, plus 1-2 clothes packing cubes into the bag. Do you think I'd be able to make it work with just the X-S10 & the 2 lenses? Thank you so much,
Fran
great review! thanks. that xf200mm f2 is so gigantic and it fits! unbelievable! lols.
I am very interested in freelineBP350. I am equally interested in Protactic BP 350 AWii.
I am usually looking for a camera bag that can be used for everyday shooting walks with a laptop PC and one DSLR lens and going for a two day trip.
I think protactic is very tough and there are a lot of accessory storage spaces and it is convenient.
Do you think that you can use it for light trekking with freelineBP 350? Do you like Protactic or Freeline more?
I am Japanese. As you are not native to English, please forgive me that there are strange parts in the text.
Great video! So the weebill lab fits completely in the top compartment? The zipper closes perfectly?
Shervin Koushan hi Shervin it fits fairly tightly in terms of the length as long as you don’t put too much in with it in the top section.
@@anthonyhurren5613 I assume you could rearrange the dividers to get it a bit roomier? I'm trying to figure out if my Sony A7 iii + 16-35 f4, 24-105 f4, Mavic Pro+batteries/controller, Weebill S will fit.
Shervin Koushan hi Shervin yes you can arrange the bag a number of ways I currently put a divider down the middle of the length of the bag so I can fit my long lenses in either side. 👍🏼
@@anthonyhurren5613 Exellent. Thanks for the video and your help. How is the bag holding up? No wear and tear?
Shervin Koushan
Hi Shervin the bag is holding up well. Though there are a couple of things Lowepro need to change if they do an updated version. 1. The chest strap comes loose as seen on my video. 2. The waist strap when packed away it’s tucked into the back and if the camera bag is very full or has a laptop in it, you can feel the plastic fastener in your lower back. So there are two work arounds for these issues. 1. Tie a knot in the chest strap to the right length so there is no play in it. 2. Pull the waist strap out and use it! 👍🏼 also be aware you only have side access and top access with this bag so you can’t unzip the whole bag to access everything at once. Something I had to get used to, as I do miss quick access to everything in front of me. But other then that it’s been a robust reliable bag I am using every week about 4 times a week on average. And I have overloaded it many times with lots of lenses and a laptop and the straps are all good so far👍🏼
thank you for sharing! Its very helpful
Nikon 200-500 is 267.5 mm long - How wide is the bag? Great review btw
Thank you for the Information.
For me, it would be nice to know, why you using Fuji. Could you perhaps Share your experiences
Lichtspiel hi Lichtspiel sure I will make a video at some point! 👍🏼
Thanks a lot, very nice review. Is the bag effective if you want to use it as an everyday backpack too? I mean, if you want to carry clothes, shoes or stuff instead of gears? Thanks again.
Max Demian hi Max yes you can pull the tray insert out and use it as a normal bag also! 👍🏼
@@anthonyhurren5613 Thank you ! Very interesting bag.. :)
Hello. I have 1 of that BP 350AW but I carry my tripod inside
The question is: are the sides of bag is enough well padded to protect gears in hiking and adventure photography?!
Nice review! One thing I've noticed, at 4:30 I don't see a waist strap, I have the grey edition and mine has O_o
Bartjeuhh hi Bartjeuhh glad you like the review! The waist strap is mentioned at 3.16mins 👍
Such a handsome guy!
I'm considering between this or the lowepro fastpack 250, I really don't know which one to choose, having used the old fastpack for many years (finally it broke) now I'm not sure if trying this one.
Manuel Lao hi Manuel the fast pack looks like good value for money. But the Freeline has quite good protection on the front and back with the tray system to me it looks more sturdy but you have to get used to accessing the kit from the side.
Hi, me again
I have got my backpack, and seems very comfortable
But i got another question, i am using peak design capture pro v2, but it seems to big and cause some uncomfortable.
You have mentioned you also have the pd capture, may i know which ver you are using.
Also, can you have a video to show how to setup the bag more details? I got the xt2 with battery grip, but seems very hard to put my xt20 at the same time
Great thanks
Wan Chiu Chan hi Wan I have the capture clip 3 it only just fits on the right strap.
Which is a little awkward. You have to unscrew the clip a lot. What lenses are you using with your 2 cameras?
@@anthonyhurren5613 thx for your useful information
I hope i can fit below equipment:
Body:
XT20
XT2 with battery grip
Lens
10-24 f4
18-55 kit len
35 f1.4 or 23f1.4
50-140 f2.8
It seems i bring too much as the 50-140 is a huge lens and it will quite heavy
Wan Chiu Chan have you tried taking the pouch out of the bottom position and moving it to the top compartment then move your bottom main divider right to the bottom
Leaving you more space for the 140mm and XT2 with grip going right through? Then using the other section above for lenses? You may need some extra dividers to split it up a little?
@@anthonyhurren5613 thanks, it seems ok now after rearrangement. But it is really tight for XT2 + battery grip
I am asking Lowepro for purchasing more dividers
i can use the bottom section for XT2, 18-55 + 10-24 right now
I have this backpack, but unfortunately for me it looks like little a bit wrong purchase. Unfortunately I realized it after I few months when I got second body and now I have two bodies - each on the opposite side. When I am flipping the bag to take other camera I just feel and hear as my other Fuji and not used lens are moving inside.
Krzysztof Górny hi Krzysztof I have changed my layout so the main middle divider runs down the virtual length of the bag down the middle instead maybe give that a go? Hope it helps! 👍🏼
Anthony Hurren thanks for your tip. I will try. Can you also show how you did it on a picture?
Krzysztof Górny do you know how I send a photo in this chat? Ant

hi~
is that strap and the bag is comfortable to wear?
I own the peak design 30L everyday backpack, but the strap is too hard and very uncomfortable....
i consider this backpack to replace it.
Wan Chiu Chan Hi Wan yes I have found the straps on the bag comfortable for me! 👍🏼
@@anthonyhurren5613 great
I am also using fuji xt2
Do you think i can put below and still feel comfortable?
Body: xt2
Lens: kit lens, 35.4, 10-24, 50-140
Wan Chiu Chan Hu Wan yes you will be fine! 👍🏼
@@anthonyhurren5613great thanks
Hope i can sell my peak design back soon
