I don’t know if you’ll see this but my professor uses your videos in our classroom. He loves you and so do we 😃🥰
@@orlandopockets6372 obviously for setting a good example
Aww thank you ☺️ Say hi to your professor from me!
@@orlandopockets6372 It just exemplifies how the concept of traditional education is dying out. Now we can educate ourselves online way more efficiently than if we went to school
Winter Matter Thank you 🙏
@@wintermatter Sorry I disagree. Of course Sarah and her videos are a tremendous help. But nothing replaces a good teacher. That's why professional musicians who have worked their posteriors off for decades still take master-classes from other, even better musicians - and then boast that they are the "pupil of X".
“P canon!”
Me as recorder player: yes!
Me as cello player: DAMM
Einar I’m glad I don’t have the bass recorder
Me as pianist. Woohoo I can play this already.
Man I can relate so much to this. I've played the Pachelbel canon with a recorder quartet, solo on the piano and in a string quartet. You can guess which one was the least thrilling ^^
Ŵhat a beautiful recorder arrangement of Pachabells Canon
Yes
Thanks, Sarah How lovely! Especially to an old man in isolation in Nova Scotia. I will play along as soon as l learn to play notes without leaking air!
I really didn't expect these holes to be so unforgiving but they are indeed.
Time stamps:
Version 1. All voices present: 1:52
Version 2. Top voice missing: 6:55
Back for my daily dose of Sarah playing Canon ❤️❤️
🥰❤️
i've never heard with a recorder ensamble, it's beautiful 💕
Ain't that more of a quartet and not an ensemble tho XD
In that case, you have a lot to discover! Enjoy 😉
@@liesbetbockaert yeah! I'm violinist, and i study my instrument career, there's no enough life for all the music!
@@charlonecruz4376 "ensemble" is French for "together" so in music terms means "the united performance of an entire group of singers, musicians, etc." whether two musicians or a hundred.
It feels great playing with another recorder player
I am so impressed and inspired by your professionalism and bringing a wonderful instrument, which is so readily accessible to so many and yet just as versatile as any, to the masses. I am a sax player (Soprano and Tenor), guitar and drums too. But I am struck at the recorder in ways I had not previously fully appreciated. Not just this video, but many of yours I have watched. I think you're on a mission Sarah, to convert more people to recorder and to bring its pleasurable sound to the masses. I pray for your continued success. Take care, be well.
I found you via two set violin. They were making fun of the recorder and thn they played a you tube of you playing. You knocked their socks off.I have been trying to teach myself to play but it’s slow going.
Which video was that. I wld love to see that.
People have the mistaken notion that the recorder is a child's instrument but
I started playing along time ago and
didn't keep up with it but now I'm
rediscovery it and it's a joy

I had practiced a lot on this piece at the time with my soprano flute, only memories.. Bravo!👏
Although I am a guitarist and some others are violinists, drummers, flutists, etc.
Although I am from Greece and some others are from Brazil, Italy, UK, etc. We all have one thing in common. And that's it great sense in music!😋
This was one of the most relaxing performances that I've ever heard😊
I wanted to thank you Sarah for helping me get back into the alto recorder after
yrs. of not playing I am diligently practicing everyday for an hour your
videos are wonderful keep up the good
work
I keep rewatching this video. Definitely one of my favorite ones ❤️
Brava! Muito bom! Talentosíssima! Saudações do Brasil!
The song I really want to play with my friends.Sadly,it is really hard to find a friend who plays the recorder in my age.
If you can find one of any age that helps, meanwhile keep training and preparing.
surely Zoom or WebEx in this age of isolation
I agree! No one I know plays the recorder...:(
@@dcx45 My choir tried Zoom. It was a complete disaster. I actually heard my own voice echoing back a second or so later. I had hoped we'd be able to follow the choirmistress (is that a word?), but her hands were just a blur. We're stuck with rehearsing at home with MIDI files...
It isn't a song. Sorry to disagree. It is a canon. Not a song.
Way to go with the multi-tracking, Sarah! I feel so proud! Lol
Aww thanks Jamison! You are the multitrack master! It took me long enough to set up my sound card 😜
@@Team_Recorder Hi Sarah, really interested in what you used for the multitracking. I have done a bit with Audacity. so just sound, fairly pleased with results but the video stuff looks really impressive. I am interested in both the programme used (software) and headphones, microphones etc (hardware). Mind you it has been some time since I had to worry about the sound card. Needing to do that again seems scary.
Lo adoro! È fantastico 😍 bravissima come sempre!! Un saluto dall'Italia!! 💙
Greating from Espana 💙
Now that I'm learning how to play I can appreciate this at a different level!
Played along for a bit - the first time I've touched the recorder in years... Thank you for sharing your love of recorders! It's so fun playing alongside you (:
Making lockdown bearable and productive
Beautiful teacher!!! beautiful teacher, I like your execution with the flute greeting
I LOVE that song! Especially when its played on a piano, but this sounds so lovely, too! The first very high notes were a little strange for me to listen to, but together it's really such a beautiful song :D so glad you played it, even if I'm not a recorder player. I'd find this intimidating to attempt on my guitar! xD
blackrose538 search for the Marcel Dadi guitar version
It is not a song.
@@mrsenstitz to me it is a song
Thanks Sarah. That's beautiful and perfect for these times.
Awesome ! Feels like relaxing in the countryside , sitting in the warm sun and watching the cows .
I just want Sarah's tunes to drive away this stupid virus.
it does in the soul :)
@@johntisdell7720 this comment is both deep and true
Hi Sarah, thank you for your videos, you always have that vibrant energy
I start playing recorder because of you(yes, a Baroque one!)
You are amazing I want to continue my learning to play my flute again thank you so much 😘😘😘😘
So beautiful I can't have enuf
This is so calming :)
I love it so much
Absolutely beautiful! I've been wanting to play an instrument for a while now...it's taken a lockdown (Uk) and me aged 45 to start. Thank you SO much for your videos. :) x
What a wonderful show.
It just encourages learning and wanting to play that well. Really wonderful.
BRAVO, BRAVÍSIMO. BELLÍSIMAS INTERPRETACIONES. GRACIAS POR COMPARTIRLAS EN ESTA ÉPOCA DE CUARENTENA POR EL COVID-19.
Hello Sarah, thank you for this nice piece. I loved that you still played the full version with the soloist so that I was able to enjoy it without having to play myself... (that didn't come out exactly right).
I'm not surprised your course sold out. I'm sure you are an amazing teacher.
Sarah: Let's play Pachelbel's Canon!
Me: **Scrambles to get my viola**
Me a second later: Wait a minute, I'm pretty sure she meant a recorder, not a viola.
Edit: Ah, it's in G major! Perfect for viola.
Thank you. Beautiful!
Thank you for your videos, I really enjoy your music.
Hi, I have to say that I love your videos and your enthusiasm for recorders; I’m from México and here people thinks that recorders are just that horrible loud whistle you have to play in order to cover your “art lessons”, most people underestimate the beauty and versatility these instruments has. I have to confess that when I found your channel it was due to my obsession with tenor recorder, and to perform quartets myself with my cheap Yamaha plastic recorders, so, watching this version of Pachelbel’s cannon is fantastic, totally lovely and completely vindictive of what we recorder enthusiasts keep repeating to ourselves that these are really beautiful instruments. Thanks a ton for what you’re doing! Best regards from Mexico City.
I've been using the horrible loud whistle sound at the 8 pm "applaud the doctors & nurses" (in Paris).
J'adore !
Imagine you hear a amazing piece of music and you walk by and see it's a recorder 😭❤
Beautiful
Wonderful stuff. 45 years ago I was pretty good at this - now I'm grateful RUclips has a slow speed function. But the amazing thing is I haven forgotten, and the daring ride through the fast passages has reminded me whythis is so good. Who'd have thought. Thanks you sooo much.
Beautiful ! ! !
hermosisimo!!!!!!!!!
Today was the first day I started playing my recorders again after a long pause..
and then i had this piece i my ear and thought "let's look if i can find a way to learn how to play it".
I couldnt be happier that I found it on my favourite RUclips-Channel :) Thank you so much!
Really good hearing this in the morning. Relaxing.
Vídeos incríveis Sarah! Sempre vejo tudo que você posta! Felicidades do Brasil 🇧🇷
OMG, if you can stand it, please do more of these! It’s wonderful to get to play along.
I love play recorder!
I play recorder over twelve years old.
I twenty eighth years and love so much play recorder and flute.
Youre play beautiful!, Incredible
OH MY GOD, I learn this piece this week because I want to play this on my alto.
I really appreciate your way of playing the recorder, I just love it❤. You inspired me to start playing the recorder, the truth is that at the moment I don't know much, however I watch your videos and I learn a lot, thank you very much for making videos and for playing the recorder. Greetings from Germany😁❤
Brilliant
a great tune for beginners and advanced player alike, it was really fun improvising over this.
Thank you.
Thanks Sarah. This inspires me to pick up my Dolmetsch treble recorder again - untouched for 50 years.
A Dolmetsch!! In my school recorder group 50 years ago, we had lovely wooden recorders of unknown variety, but the name "Dolmetsch" was uttered in hushed and reverent tones. We hsd never seen one, but we knew they were good! Enjoy yours.
Brava!
Sold out. congratulations. Thanks for the play along too. Much appreciated!
Thank you Sarah !
Nice !
The slurred staccato is most likely left over from the string arrangement. It's used when the bow shouldn't change direction between notes, but the notes should have a separation in sound.
Aaahahhhhhhh good to know, thanks!
I've seen it on piano scores too. Thanks for the info.
@@Team_Recorder Does this change the way it should be played on the recorder?
Wow it's cool
Thanks that was cool.
I love it. Thank you
SUPER ☺♥
Thank you Sarah
Thank you 😁
thanks to you sarah im learning a lot about how to play recorder...
Thanks dear Sarah, God bless you!
It’s nice to hear the recorder family play.
Thank you. An extraordinary version of an extraordinary piece of music -- when we needed it.
It’s simply uncanny! 😲 Whenever you play the bass recorder in that inimitable polyphonic style it sounds just like a calliope. And whenever I hear a calliope...you guessed it...I think of that iconic military march "Entry of the Gladiators" by the Czech composer Julius (you know who). 😉 ♫
Thanks a ton. I will stick to my Flötenkoffer recommended by you for a while and later come back to this LOVELY play a long. Hello from Germany
Thanks for that ! So beautifull
I've been joining in whilst learning the bass recorder, thank you some amazing playing. 🥰 One love
You are wonderful, and I love your smile!
It sounds lovely!!! I rather to hear top voice missing so I can appreciate better lower voices. Good work Sarah thanks a lot!
Thank you, Sarah! This is fabulous!
Bravo crazy
I really love flutes 🥰👌
Sweet
You are so amazing ang inspiring.
Grettings from Poland :)
Desde México, muchas gracias!!!
Beautiful quartet. This is my favorite of all your playalongs. Until I learn the fast section at full speed (on alto), I am setting the playback speed to 0.75. It would be even better if you wore a different outfit for each instrument. 😎
Thanks Sarah! I love the canon. Greetings from Venezuela
This is actually helping me learn how to play higher notes on recorder!!
Thank you for entertaining us during this quarantine
Fantastic''
THANK YOU ❤️ i loved it 😍 this is so immersive, play alongs are the best ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Hi watching from México eres muy talentosa y hermosa...
I love those door knobs.
I’ve been struggling getting high A and high B, this is helping massively with my practice! Thanks for this!
Sarah this is a beautiful piece!!!!
LOVE!
Impressive!!! Stunning!!! 🤩👍🏻
Thank you so much for this! I'm new to learning the recorder, and I find it really helpful to be able to see and hear how things should sound, and then to try to imitate that. I don't have others to make music with, so this is wonderful. Enjoy your videos very much, even when they're over my head (someday they won't be, I hope!)
Maravilloso 👏👏👏👏
I ❤ your tenor recorder!
Ooh and in 440 too. My bernolin sounded great alongside you.
