  • In this almost 300 subscribers video we are doing things a little different. This is more of a how to into taking a cordless drill apart and as a first on the channel putting it back together.
As an example we are using one of my personal favorite allround drills, the Makita DF330D 10.8V Cordless Drill. A now discontinued model by Makita but in my opinion still a very good and handy drill to have for the odd tasks in and around the house.
Incase you have one yourself and need to repair/replace some components on your Makita DF330D you can use this video as a bit of a guide as to the disassembly & assembly steps.
    Enjoy!

I have a 2010 DF330D witch was white and black when new, it's now more black than white with use. I think it's a great drill... This video was great as I wanted to change the chuck...

Thank you so much. Any idea what the part # is for the brushes for the motor. Burnt out my 2nd DF330D drill already and can't go without it.

Very good video and highlights the Makita quality and attention to detail. However, how can you take a tool like that apart and not give it a deserved clean and re-grease!

You,re absolutely right! I should have done. Was so focused on getting a timely manageable video recorded that I completely missed that bit. I’ll amend my mistake.

I've answered my own question... the Part number for the motor for the DF330D drill is 629853-4. Cheers

had an issue after replacing my motor, where i could only select second gear. Turns out the plastic face plate you attach to the motor face is asymmetrical, meaning there is only 1 correct orientation, if you have it flipped 180 degrees you can still connect the motor, but it will block out 1st gear selection.
hope this comment helps the next guy who makes the same mistake!
