I have been starting to sell my art this year, and watching established artists with their processes and their shops really does help me to understand what to do, what to expect, and that not everything has to happen well and at once. Love this.
I love how you’ve shared the behind-the-scenes of your pottery shop!💛 It’s so motivating to see how you balance creativity and business. Thank you for sharing your expertise! 🙌
Thank you for sharing so many aspects to your pottery making and process. I love watching creative people and you're an absolute joy. Can't wait to see what you come up with next. All the best with love from Canada ❤
Hi Mia, I love your channel and your energy! My favourite videos are the ones where you experiment and do different things like the lamp, stools, table, tiles etc! I hope you continue to show us your creative endeavours❤
Really enjoyed your video. Do you sell any pottery in person (at market's, shows, etc)? Would really enjoy seeing how you setup your booth's etc. Keep making great art! 😀 (and love your puppy!)
Mia a huge thank you for your videos, I've just started pottery and you have such a clear teaching method and inspire me. I have enjoyed watching some of your early videos and seeing your confidence and passion grow with your subscribers. You are a beautiful creative kind soul and a gardener to boot! Keep on spinning Love from Qld Australia
Hi Mia, I love the style of your videos :) If you edit a lot of photos in the same way lightroom or Adobe camera raw have a batch editing function. it might not work perfect if light values change. If you edit the photos individual but use the same adjustment layers you can make a macro for it, for example a levels and color correction layer, and crop to 1:1 so you have a square image
Warning, unsolicited suggestion incoming: I don't know if it helps, you might already know that but I found that Lightroom is quite cool to handle photos. It's more made for it and it combines photo editing with photos management. It's also an adobe software, so the photo editing tools are really the same as in Photoshop (i.e. you won't have to learn new ways of editing). But it has the benefit of being made for photos and photographers, which means that the tools are better tailored for the related use cases (like having custom photo filters that you can save and re-apply on other photos and probably other cool stuff that I don't even know about). Anyway! I don't even do pottery, but I love your channel and how you explain everything!
Interesting video, thanks! I prefer the perspective of the cup from the picture that's a little closer, but the hands on the one that's a little.more far away
I have talked about this in past videos, but basically I just look around at what other people are charging, and think about how much I value the time spent on the piece. A lot of people do it by calcuating material cost & time spent. There is no correct way :)
Yes exactly, there is money exchanged. This is mostly how youtubers survive and pay rent! Sponsors pay for the little ad in the video. Unfortunately I can't disclose the amount.

I'd like the little brown and black dog, but I couldn't find the listing.

Me seeing this 1 day after it goes up… almost everything is sold out! Congrats! You ARE the kind of potter whose stuff sells out!

Thank you! I have some massively fun experiments coming up. I just had to make a couple 'easier' videos for the chaos of the holiday season 😅

I ordered a white pot! I can't wait to add to my herb pot collection. Please experiment and keep offering small collections for us to collect!
yayy! i hope it arrives to you soon :)
I love this, Mia, thanks so much for sharing! Can you please explain why it's so important to schedule the launch down to the minute? Thank you 🤗

Please make more little trees!!! I love so much of your stuff - the little trees are sto cute especially this time of years!
Thanks! I'm afraid it's too late now for this holidays but I will definitely make more next year :)
This was so interesting to watch. I'm not a potter but I love learning about all that goes into it
That's nice to hear! ❤️
Interesting video, thanks!
I prefer the perspective of the cup from the picture that's a little closer, but the hands on the one that's a little.more far away
haha that's exactly what I was struggling with!! I ended up choosing the one that is closer because it made the background more blurred out.
I can't wait to hold my new planter in my hot little hands.. your reclaim pot will be well loved.
Yay! It should be on it's way now :) Thanks for your patience!
That was very informative! Thank you for sharing!
Glad it was helpful!
I wish you success and lot of fun. And stay creative. I can absolute comprehend that things get easely boring.😉
Thank you! ❤️
I love those little trees but they sold out! Looks like most everything sold out so congrats!
thank you! ❤️ I will make more trees next year :)
Do you have a tutorial on those trees?? They are adorable
Love Peanut!
Definitely prefer A. :)
Hello! Have a nice day!
I would like to start sell my work, how do you calculate the prices?☺️
I have talked about this in past videos, but basically I just look around at what other people are charging, and think about how much I value the time spent on the piece. A lot of people do it by calcuating material cost & time spent. There is no correct way :)
when you say that some company sponsored a video, is there money exchanged and how much and for what?
Yes exactly, there is money exchanged. This is mostly how youtubers survive and pay rent! Sponsors pay for the little ad in the video. Unfortunately I can't disclose the amount.
@@PotterytothePeople is there a cost for production? Or just space rental on You Tube?
I prefer A

⁰hi Mia I want to learn how to do all this beauty you do
Do you teach?
Is this your main source of income?
Nope! Half my income is from youtube, the other half is from selling pottery tools. Selling pottery is more of a passion project :)
