Marvel's New Plan Has AMAZING CHANGES TO MCU! No More Disney Plus focus
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 19 май 2024
- Marvel Studios is making some changes to the MCU that I think are amazing and will really help focus on making the Marvel Cinematic Universe what is was before. Marvel Studios is not going to focus a lot on Disney Plus content anymore for the MCU but, focus on making big movies and focus on making them exciting events like Marvel movies used to be! This comes from Bob Iger and Kevin Feige as they announce they are scaling back on Marvel Disney Plus shows and shifting their focus more on big films.

I dont want disney plus shows to be removed entirely. I'd just like them to have better quality
Sounds like that’s the plan
That's exactly what they are doing
A few shows go against this. Wandavision, Loki and Moonknight - I would argue they have had more fantastic shows than poor
I think they mean other than those three@@TheFacelessChefUK
@Quakedevilsolos407 I kinda get that but that's over 50% of the shows they have released...in fairness I can only think of two terrible, even those had decent episodes. Admittedly Ms Marvel isn't in that list and I think that flits between the two
Disney+ isn't the problem. If they actually put an effort into the writing and storytelling, it would fix a majority of the MCU issues.
Avengers Secret Wars could really save the MCU.
I hope they're not completely done with Disney+ because WandaVision and Loki were some of the best post-Endgame projects.
Uh ARNT you forgetting falcon and the winter soldier that and Loki were my top favorites as well as what if 1 and 2
It's much easier to name the 2 shows that were good than to name the shows that were bad
Definitely. Loki was awesome so was moon knight. I liked most of the shows. I think their flaws are correctible. I think less disney plus shows is good cuz itll increase anticipation. I was excited for moon knight, was very pleased by loki and thought wandavision was one of the best mcu projects ever.
@@Abe-my9wb she hulk wasnt great, she admitted as much. Secret invasion wasnt great either. I liked what if though s2 wasnt as greatly recieved. I didnt watch hawkeye, it didnt interest me, tho i assume its good. Echo was good in despite of its flawed.
I agree 100%
It's only good to cut back if it actually improves the quality
Same thing I said!!
The BIGGEST mistake that Feige made was getting rid of Marvel TV and Geoff Loeb at the start of Disney+. Just when they needed to crank out hit shows in 50 min format Feige gets rid of an already in place division with experienced TV executives and showrunners with a track record of producing a massive amount of quality Marvel content in a short period of time.
Feige should have kept everyone on, delegated control of Disney+ to Loeb, acted like a true exec producer in oversight and then he could have continued his sole focus on the films. Its essentially the way the company ran during the production of Agent Carter season 1 and the rest of the teens just with greater integration. Disney+ could have been like the first 2 seasons of Agents of Shield but on steroids. Cross overs galore, hooking into existing fan favorite content, and new shows could have had experienced management as opposed to movie people moonlighting as TV people.
Instead they lost time, momentum, fan good will, quality control, and Feige and company lost direction. Daredevil born again and the Defenders shows being made canon is Marvel Studios capitulation to this. They tried to a Daredevil show, failed, and reverted back to what Loeb did in the first place.
Feige wasn't the one who did that though. It was Bob Chapek
Too many words. They went woke and then went broke. Easy.
@@batmanwins5701 Nope. It was Feige all the way. He was put in charge of all of Marvel before Chapek took over. The behind the scenes MCU book lays it all out. Marvel Studios and TV were separate from day one and had icy relations with brief thaws (Agent Carter, first two AOS seasons). Feige had legit gripes with Perlmutter but that in 2019 Perlmutter was completely shut out. So, Feige got rid of something he completely needed just because of personal animosity. The irony is that Perlmutter had almost no involvement in it's creative choices or production.
The connectivity between the films in the early days of the MCU that ultimately culminated in Endgame is what made each release feel so big. They should keep the connectivity and continuity
The connectivity was important, but each movie was still its own individual event. Nowdays, everything is just a means to build towards something else, nothing feels important on its own.
It also has benn almost six years without an avengers film.
Hey Cosmic Wonder, ScreenCrush mention you in their video, it was about the Sony and Marvel universe problem they gave you a compliment, also great video.
I'm watching the video rn what's the time stamp

great video ! thanks for the information
NGL, I enjoyed the Disney Plus shows including Loki. And TBH, I'm all in for Marvel Studios for doing animated shows by Marvel Animation because it's been a long time since I watched an Marvel animated series.
Other than that, Marvel Studios has gone back to basics.
So many opportunities are possible..i can't wait
Loving these new changes!
I am excited to see them slow things down and build anticipation
This is gold. Please do more videos like this.
I think the streat level shows can be fun if done right. We will have to see how they turn out.
I absolutely love what they are planning now! Maybe we’ll get better stories being told in a movie!
Quality over quantity every time
As long as they don't reduce anything with Ms. Marvel/Kamala Khan, I can go with the changes.
😂🤢🤢
@@davidnguyen270Haters gonna hate

Such great news! Im excited for the future of the MCU again! Thank you for the great video Warren.
Good info bro 😎 appreciate the news
"No more Disney+ focus" Wasn't a new White Tiger show just romored.
You are 100% right.
And a Wakanda series
No more focus means it will not be the priority, not that they will never have any more content on it. If they were no longer doing ANY disney+ stuff, they would say "no more disney+ stuff".
Don’t matter to me as long as they go woke..if I sniff any woke I’m out..
Maybe watch the whole video, he said if they do Disney plus shows it’s grounded street level characters that will not be super important to the overall story for the MCU just extra lore on certain characters basically
I think this is the best way forward from now on, they really need to start concentrating on quality over quantity and telling great stories like they did when it all started
*I believe there was an over saturation of tv shows and they should focus more on quality with more characters than quality.*
YOU INSPIRE ME WARREN!!!
Anybody else think a grounded Spider-man show about kingpin and villains he’s hired to take down the bug would be dope?
The special effects probably would be cut down in quality if the make that move. They should try a new animated Spider-Man that connects to the movies so they can show us grounded stories then when live action is ready they can reference what they did in the animated shows. If that makes sense.
For sure
@@troybrown2563 That's actually a really good idea
@@UltraCanuck thanks I hope it spreads. Dc does great animated movies. Mcu can definitely make great animated stories for sure. If they connect them then that’s just icing on the cake for all true fans.
Wo this is a very amazing and awesome video bro telling about this marvel new plan that will change mcu no more Disney plus focus and keep it up and keep up the great work as always and take care
Keep smiling always
Loki 1/2, Werewolf by Night, WandaVision, and Moon Knight 🌙 were the best projects anyway imo.
Looking forward to Daredevil and that’s really it.
It's about time!!
I’m glad this happening I’ve always said going to see the movie in theaters is a different experience.
Well, it’s not staying around for long, home theaters get cheaper every year, and I’d rather be comfortable and not dealing with loud idiots so this isn’t good news
Focusing on quality... THANK GOD!!!!
I can'T say that I mind, I get to talk with some buddies about Marvel stuff since they always come to me for additional details lolll.
One of the best videos @CosmicWonder very well put, and we are on the same page
Cant wait for avengers secret wars hope its amazing ❤
I understand the idea of focusing more on movies and big deal franchises. I'm still excited to see some of the shows on the horizon, especially Daredevil and anything else from the Defenders era that might make its way out.
Really hoping they do actually put more effort into quality over quantity and not believe the only problem is not having the most recognized characters on screen
Using shows to focus on street level characters is genius. Consider how great daredevil was, and this can be their way to bring those elements into the mainline MCU. Then, if sony lets them, have these characters appear in Spider-Man 4 to introduce them into general audiences. It writes itself!
Also by focusing on street level heroes for their D+ shows Marvel doesn't have to blow the budget on big flashy VFX for those shows.
@keeninsight1811 True. Daredevil had really great practical effects, so I could see them focusing on that.
I love this direction alot. I think if they keep taking these careful steps this can be a huge recovery. (And I will never complain about more Moon Knight)
No More Disney +Series But At Least Give Us a Special Presentation
Disney also phased out of Special Presentations as well
@@dankusoonyt7473Wrong🙅♂️
When something doesn’t work, part ways from it. Disney + was an experiment that wasn’t overall good for the MCU.. Disney+ itself is good for rewatching stuff or doing shows for the younger audience.
Infinity Saga worked so well despite a few stinkers because it was all theatrical releases. No homework needed to be done as in having to watch a tv show to understand the next movie release..
exactly
It's more like there was too many projects in too short of a time. No need to drop D+ completely.
Also I love secret invasion, however I never read the comics.
The overload is not why it went down. The poor quality and development of characters is why it went down
I’m cool with Marvel focusing more on movies especially when some of the Disney plus shows have been lacking in quality.
So fix the quality. You have made billions of dollars on these movies. Hire more staff and fix the quality. It sounds more like greed to me because if you hire more staff you'll have the quality and the output
The only bad D+ projects are She Hulk and Secret Invasion. Everything else is either amazing or decent.
I really liked the holiday special presentations, I hope they keep those.
8:00 (new to TV)
hopefully if they do more TV stuff, they maybe hire actual showrunners going forward if they want to do this again.
Amazing!!
I am very glad with those changes
Great idea🎉
What about the series that are yet to come out and still in development, will they just get delayed? Very interesting news, it will be great to see what Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios do with it!
They need more focus on special presentations! Like they should’ve filmed a Gorr one before love and thunder. They can use them to add to a movie before they film it for more depth.
Love from Belgium 🇧🇪 ❤
I can understand the plan especially when they were trying to run disneyplus hopefully this works but I hope that the disneyplus side eventually grows again but perhaps with a connected street level series of shows leading up to a big disneyplus arc finally
I think it's good thing that they scale back so they can focus on making great content
Would be cool a Namor cartoon, some of the characters would be fan to have their classic stories told on Disney + as cartoons series.
In the wise words of Kurzgesagt: Quality OVER Quantity
It’s probably for the best. There’s so many shows in the MCU as is, it’s kinda overwhelming
I really hope the young avengers is a disney plus show. There is just so much more you can do in a show timeframe than a 2 hour movie
i think it is a great idea ... back to basics
I think it's a good idea. I'm not saying they should stop with Disney Plus, but focus more on their projects when they go to theaters instead of automatically going to streaming. Promote their movies when they go to theaters. Spend as much time as possible to make their movies & and shows the best possible. I also think they should organize Disney plus. Like have an adult section, kids section, family-friendly section, and animation section. Then, just put whatever projects fit that in each section.
Favorite Hero: Batman
Good start but they need to again focus on drawing storylines from the comics and using them as a guideline as close as feasible. The mcu worked best as a soap-opera and somewhere along the way they lost sight of that.
That's how it should be, back then the only thing you needed to do, was go to the theaters and watch the movies, and you were good.
Awesome video
As i dont mind street level characters, i also really love the magical characters and magical shows, And agatha is one of those characters im starting to like, sad i wont get to see her after her show, which im really looking forward to. I also loved watching all the shows, gonna miss that.
Probably the best strategy to go with. This could bring back the majority of the fandom that hasn't been enjoying the MCU over the past couple years.
This could mean that Loki & What If...? could end with their 3rd seasons, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man & Daredevil: Born Again could revert as a miniseries & multiple Wakanda spinoffs outside of the first live-action & Eyes of Wakanda projects could be cancelled.
Agatha eventually should have a roll in Fantastic 4 as Franklin Richard's First Nanny.
I really hope we get a midnight suns project, I feel like it will be very different for the mcu and it will make a lot of fans happy
Focus needs to be put on track again, wethere B. Igerr will someday say enough here we're done, but K. Feige should not give up.
Yay, its a great plan..😊
I’m just happy they recognized their mistake of pumping too much out at once. But that’s usually how it works with business, supply and demand at its finest.
It be cool if we can go back to the 90s, I loved it. I wish time travel was real.
I am glad they are going back to focusing on films rather than the tv shows, when the shows do come they will hopefully be better!
I think the shows being spread out more would be better since some of them like Ironheart would actually be interesting.
my optimistic outlook has become strongly pessimistic with this franchise that they can go... nah, i'll believe it when i see it!!
I think they can do BOTH the street level shows AND the mystic & profound cosmic stuff. There is room for both!
Definitely! It would be amazing to have 2 sides
I like specials and maybe limited run series as a way to test characters.
yeah that's right.. street lvl must be on tv series while their big event must be in movie theater.. Defender must be in theater not in small screen..
Eh
More quality please
More grounded independent shows to keep content for Disney + sounds like a better direction to keep the movies for big events and keep shows more grounded but still building the larger MCU
Marvel need to focus on their cinematic releases to drive the mcu forward in a positive direction.
I'll beleive it once I see it
This is great news. It really is. The only thing that confuses me about this is how do you calculate using the shear volume of characters they’ve COMMITTED to while reducing as much as it sounds like? No matter how you chop it up and make this thing Disney+ and that thing a movie, no matter how you stretch it out it seems like we’re going to have to lose some stuff. Shed some excess. I just hope they shed the right things.
Am I wrong? Can they fit the new pantheon of characters into a proper place and time without over saturation?
I think they can. I think Feiger (Feige + Iger) will slam dunk us into a new era.
I believe they should have had a crossover with all the Disney plus shows. Kind like the defenders
Apart from Deadpool, my most excitement is for Daredevil, a long way ahead of their other films. This sounds like we will get less of that, the grounded street level coming infrequently, and not crossing occasionally into the films. Charlie, Krysten, Jon bernthal, mike colter and others did a great job of their characters and deserve to be on the big screen and would fill the MCU world, like the comics where street and big event heroes know each other.
It's also about time feige and the clueless Winderbaum swallowed their pride and hired back the best of the former execs and Daredevil showrunners back, the last one of who had two seasons of story outlined which I bet are not the same as the MCU is making now, so could be stories for the future.
I'm happy they are taking a step back to make better quality films and etc. but am I the only one that lowkey kinda likes a lil more than 1 film a year on more than just the main avengers and etc.?
I wanna be able to see all the great marvel characters on screen before I die.
Agatha actually is an important character in Fantastic Four comics, as she’s the nanny of Franklin Richards.
I think that they should still keep Marvel Spotlight and do the the Midnight Sons/Blade/Zombies etc... but real talk, they don't have enough time for Secret Wars.... I wish they'd just recast Kang .... We've been in it for this long already
This is a great plan by Marvel and Disney, this will help them to make better content
Here’s an idea Kevin Feige can handle the movies, then hire one person to manage shows and another to manage animation.
This is why Universal will bump them off. They still haven't learned.
I would start creating a midnight sun movie just to see more of the dark marvel side were blade or moonknight leads a team
I’m more surprised with there being NO changes than I am with there being changes at this point.
Secret Invasion’s problem wasn’t that it was a TV show - it was crappy writing and completely lack of vision. The format wasn’t the problem and if they don’t fix the real problems the movies will suck just as much.
I don't know, they can't just go backwards either to what's already been done. They need a better way to balance the more core characters and the newer/lesser known ones.
I don't know why they don't have someone else produce the Disney plus shows
Hey man as long as the MCU keeps kang as the main villain, which based on insiders they still are, they can do whatever they want
Same
@@joshuamunn2410 bruh, no one wants them to rush in a new villain halfway thru the story, that’s some Star Wars sequel trilogy type move.
Argee
@@youssefmesrati340 sorry I re-edited it I meant to say the sequel trilogy
Keep Kang as villain for Avengers 5, then hand off to Dr. Doom for Avengers 6-Secret Wars. Also keep Galactus as the Fantastic Four movie villain w/Silver Surfer in their too!
Hope it goes well
Scaling back the Marvel verse is a good plan, but I think Disney would be wise to follow Walt's original plan to help create and support more original and independent stories (like Lab Rats or The Orville for instance) to allow for a more home-ready style of entertainment.
as long they make good shows you know what i mean
@@carterblake3410 Yep. The Orville season 3 is an exceptional season, with each episode being the length of many features length films. The best of those was episode 8 "Midnight Blue". It parallels with many real-life cases in MMIWG's and doesn't pull any punches.
@@MovieMouseFarmgirl i want to see the street level side of the mcu in shows
Stellar
Disney plus is where they should do 1 episode back stories to some of there B teamers… just the back story… like individual x-men 1 hour back stories that all end with how/who recruited them
