Even if you love playing control, it's so much more taxing on your brain. Then just playing something where you turn your cardboard sideways
Haha, this is why I like to play archetypes like Delver, start the first few turns playin aggro, revert back to control in the midgame.

I just got to Diamond 4 since a very long time. I watched both of your streams with CGB and I think it was the best mtga content I have seen since the release. I also played a lot of hearthstone since 2014 till the daemon hunter class release.
I so understand your mana screw and card draw frustrations.
I was stuck at rank 1 platinum for a week. I was countless times away from 1 win to diamond but I just couldn’t make it. I just sold my third kidney and had a 6 win streak with the red white token deck and made it till diamond 4. Now i have 44 hours left to push to mythic.
I was also at the point to switch to mono red but I thought; not like this.

I'm honestly amazed how much you have improved, this journey has been a joy to watch, only didn't like when chat was getting you tilted over scrutinising your misplays, I been playing like 3 years and still misplay, it's a complicated game
I was here for this, very happy for Rarran, great job, he's gotten pretty good. I would love to see the draft arc next month. I can't believe he played so many games without doing the constructed events to accumulate some more resources, would have been better before he opened all of bloomburrow because that would have gotten him so many packs, maybe next time he can grind the constructed events for content the next time a set comes out that way he doesn't need to sell his fourth kidney (by the way, have you seen a doctor about that Rarran). I'm a magic player and I've followed Rarran since his team ups like a year ago, I watch the hearthstone content but I don't really get it, if you don't have the base knowledge of what the cards do it's hard to follow. Rarran is a very good streamer, charismatic and fun to watch so whatever he does I'll watch but I'm very happy that he's doing magic.
Rarran, don't worry, you were never locked on Hearthstone. You have already played a bunch of games, and made collabs with creators from other games as well, we're here for you and your reactions.

Congrats on Mythic. Watching you in those last games gave me flashbacks to when I got Legend in Hearthstone for the first time in December. I'd been playing since Naxx and never got above Platinum 5 in any month. I didn't think I'd ever put in the time, and I'm prone to tilting. But I reached Diamond about halfway through the month, playing almost exclusively on my phone while I did cardio. I had a ~90% win rate from D5 to Legend, thankfully. But I was incredibly nervous the entire time, especially at the end.
The number of times Rarran played a Brushland and took 1-3 free damage instead of just playing Cavern and getting a free dual land was staggering.
I believe on some of those was because he played the Valley Mightcaller, which is in fact not a rabbit; therefore he needed to use the pain-land on some of those.
Congrats on mythic. I hope you go for it again next season. Very entertaining to watch, especially with you and cgb together. More please.

I have started back the Arena and my first draft went 7:0, so I am not sure that's a difficult challenge though
I have found the secret to beat mono-red. Use mono-red and draw better.

I am an MTG player and haven't touched hearthstone since like, goblins v gnomes, but I watch your stuff for you because it's always entertaining. Even still, it's so much fun to see you play a game I actually understand and I hope it does well enough that you keep playing from time to time! Would especially love to see you check out draft, it's my favorite format!

Mythic in draft is easier imo. You face people of different ranks constantly. I've gotten to mythic a couple times there. Numotthenummy is a great resource for that. He's a consistent mythic draft player. Faced him once and he destroyed me lmao.

Rarran congrats! You got mythic against a red deck!! Also one helpful tip, you are taking a lot of unnecessary damage from your brushlands early turns when you had cavern of souls to play. Every damage counts against aggro! Good job! thoughts

Force of Will is a Japanese tcg with a separate deck for lands, it's pretty goated.

Good luck with drafting. I hope it goes well for you, but personally I think draft is 10x harder because knowing how to play a deck doesn't compare to knowing how to build a deck.

you should unironically try mono red. It's really strong especially in bo1 and you'd probably be good at it
Why Rarran don't try brawl in Arena ? That would familiarize him with singleton formats for eventually Commander one day, and try more jank stuff
