Hi Shareen, the tawa (this one is also known as a crepe pan) is nonstick and great for roti making. You can buy it online or at any homeware shop. Hope this helps!
Hi Nandni, this tawa isn’t a traditional one, we’re using a nonstick ‘crepe pan’ you can search online and you’ll find many nonstick pans in different sizes like this one. Hope you find one you like!
Hi Avisaki, it varies as flour and water when mixed doesn't always combine consistently. You can use this measurement to guide you and you can add small amounts of water till a soft dough (not sticky) is made. Hope this helps!
Hi @sarika82, no need to add salt, it is plain roti :) we will add more flavoured rotis in the future like dhal bhari etc which will be salted and flavoured stuffing, subscribe to be notified !
Hi Sue! Please don’t be disheartened, roti takes a lot of practice but once you get it right, it starts to become really easy :) keep making them and don’t worry about the shape, you’ll get there!
@@sueengland9106 sounds like your dough may be too firm, maybe add more water and knead it longer with a little oil or ghee. If you’re using Wholemeal, this flour is especially water absorbent so maybe adding a little extra water to make dough won’t hurt. Also, don’t let the dough be exposed to air, cook roti immediately or dust the dough balls with dry flour to prevent drying. Hope these tips help!
