- Matt Skiba rules so much! Matt joined @TunaonToastwithStryker and revealed that working with Blink-182 actually inspired Matt on how he and the Alkaline Trio guys recorded their new album.

I was gonna say, it's so nice they acknowledge him on tour, they all treated it like a worthy passion project and still have respect for each other. Really great to see.

There's an interview out there with the guys in blink from around 20+ years ago where they absolutely GUSH, talking about how cool they think Alkaline Trio is and how Matt's songwriting inspired them to up their game. Really cool to see the inspiration coming full circle.

Couldnt agree more. A band really needs to all be in the same room for the whole writing/recording process. Really does make a huge difference
But somehow neighborhoods is better than everything aside from Untitled.

I wish Matt stayed and that we got a new Blink with 4 members. Change the dynamic, evolve, and have Blink be a quartet. That would have been awesome.

imagine all the songs that require two guitarists that tom's has been playing by himself. I want the reunion tour we had. Then the album tour we're having. and then one where they bring matt in and he's the 4th member and we get him singing his songs, tom on his, and then they can do each other's backing vocals. Loved when matt added the backing vocals you never heard live like in feeling this but now they could do everything too

you really can tell they were together for this album. They did amazing work this time and you can hear it.
I love blink, grew up as a kid loving Buddha, Cheshire, Dude Ranch, and Enema. I drifted after that honestly. When Matt joined, blink was honestly a breath of fresh air for me. I really thought Matt did a great job in blink, revitalized it, and helped keep it fresh. He’s a damn good songwriter musician. I love his work.
I enjoyed his self titled album only because it was very heavily influenced by Box Car Racer, which I like, but it was definitely a diversion from traditional blink-182. After that I fell off until Matt because I’ve been a huge fan of alkaline trio since the early 2000s.

I love Alk3. But their last two albums felt phoned in. BH&E sounds like their Good Mourning era full of energy again and the bound sounds tight👌🏽

I love bad Religion and true north came out in 2013 and it’s a fantastic record
