Can't stand the sneaker trend! it ruins the whole look of the outfit. as far as Virginie goes, she's lost something in the translation of Chanel. I equate Chanel with the epitome of luxury. Coco loved modesty, and now I wonder if she would be disappointed in the designs. They just don't look high-end anymore!
I understand your frustration! Fashion is always evolving, but Chanel's classic luxury will always be iconic. It might just be a phase of experimentation. Who knows what's coming next?
Sneakers are an american trend. In Europe, you don't see elegant women or men in sneakers. It's considered to be of bad taste! Specially combined with elegant dresses! It's ugly and of bad taste! Snekers are for sport, not to go to a restaurant, theatre, office etc.
Chanel wasnt first with the little black dress But she got it to be fashion. Pearls has always Been attractive among the upper class Nobels and royals for thousands of years.. Just look at the renaissance clothes. But fake pearls as fashion she is probably the maker of. And also the mixing of real and fake jewelry. And Coco would turn Herself in the grave over the bad quality that Chanel Also provide us with. Just look at al videos over bad bags that suddenly pops up among Chanel collectors. My personal opinion of course
Not ugly athletic sneakers. Not running shoes. I like my little white Skechers Bobs, they're as light as a feather, and I wear nothing but dresses, everyday. Of course, wear more dressy shoes with the occasion. It's a bit like the shoulder bag, or cross body for everyday, but of a good style. Maybe this depends on the person, I'm more delicate and light. My shoes are too. But ballerina flats look overly girly sometimes.
Literally all of this is incorrect. For example, pearls are from Anne Boleyn. Black dresses were common by the time she did them. The 255 was based on a military satchel, it isn't special. Costume jewels have been around for thousands of years including glass jewels.
Sneakers, as fashion was FIRST brought to fashion by the STREETS! Black youth showcased sneakers as a fashion item for years! CC ….just coppied the trend a brought it to the high fashion crowd who otherwise never would’ve looked at the use on the street for fashion suggestions or tips !
True, street fashion has a huge influence! Black youth have always been pioneers. High fashion draws inspiration from these authentic and vibrant trends.
I know people who own so many really luxury brands, but they live in their mom's house. I own a house, drive a Lexus, and I do buy stuff *condup* to put money in my pocket.

I agree… no amount of high end materials and bling changes the fact that at the end, it’s still a sneaker! Ugh

Sneakers are so inelegant with dresses. There are other flat shoes which are so much more elegant and every bit as comfortable .
I understand your point! Mules, loafers, and oxford shoes are great elegant and comfortable options to wear with dresses.

Lily Allen did it first and it looks terrible.

Coco Chancel: Be painfully thin. Wear back and white!!! All the time. Is that all. 😢
Her style was timeless however her alliance with Nazis makes it difficult for some to admire her… I will never wear her logo
I want the military jacket in my wardrobe. Awesome video Carol ❤
I love my sneakers. Chanel shift with tennis shoes are perfect. I was so tired of flats, regardless of color.
Sneakers are super versatile and comfortable! Chanel with sneakers brings a modern and sophisticated touch. Embrace them without fear!
