We played supporting group to the outlaws in the sixties, they were fantastic, loved every minute.

Great take on the Outlaws version of this classic cowboy tune. This is one of those songs that seems like every version I hear I love. But still my favorite was done by Dennis Stoner circa 1970- 71.

The more of your videos I watch featuring John on lead guitar when he's playing the "Parker" I'm really impressed with the tone it sounds amazing, crystal clean and ballsy and really cuts through. I don't know much about them but it's an impressive sounding instrument I'd love to play one.

Yes I do! Thanks for asking! It needed a little fret work that I finally got done.I haven't played it much in the last few years but I still love it. It looks cool and sounds great with the active system and it's so nice on the back because it's so light! Love the floating tremelo too! I still use it here and there for some recording. I just like to play different guitars over the years but there will always be a special place in my heart for the Parker! - John
@@johnryan7397 Thanks for the info John. What kind of fret work did you have done? I always heard they have stainless steel frets and and a composite fret board that's' like glass and neither are supposed to wear out. I REALLY enjoy and admire your playing talents and the tones you use!
@@gfrrfandoe8044 Thanks again for the kind words.What happens over time is that the glue used to attach the frets to the composite body breaks down and they loosen. Mine is about 25 years old now. It was primarily the 2nd and 3rd fret. I had someone who knows what their doing take care of it and it's fine now. Still love it. Like many players I go through different phases playing different guitars because you draw different inspiration from different instruments. Keep on Rockin'!
