Johnny Blaze (Nicolas Cage) was only a teenaged stunt biker when he sold his soul to the devil (Peter Fonda). Years later, Johnny is a world renowned daredevil by day, but at night, he becomes the Ghost Rider of Marvel Comics legend. The devil's bounty hunter, he is charged with finding evil souls on earth and bringing them to hell. But when a twist of fate brings Johnny's long-lost love (Eva Mendes) back into his life, Johnny realizes he just might have a second chance at happiness - if he can beat the devil and win back his soul. To do so he'll have to defeat Blackheart (Wes Bentley), the devil's nemesis and wayward son, whose plot to take over his father's realm will bring hell on earth--unless Ghost Rider can stop him. - Кино
I love it when he asks the horse if he can keep up and the horse flame up like "Please, bitch, let me show you what true horse power is."
XD.
ahhahahhaah lol
... You think he asked the horse...? The fuck are you smoking?

Bro exactly for real
When you think about it, Slade was literally a ghost rider in this scene. He used his last ride to discard his flesh, his last seconds to discard his bones, and accepted his death, handing over his spirit to the great beyond. Poetic.
1:11 To me slade works to me shows how In life when people want to help do something for the right reasons or know to help show people a better bath to me is what doing things for the right reasons is knowing your setting something right without becoming blinded
Damn, that’s deep
People don't see movies like this the ones that do is rare.
RIP Carter Slade. A true legend. He's now a real Ghost Rider in the Sky.
He is the true Ghost Rider in the Sky
When Carter Slade whistles and that horse comes out of the fog is just badass

Goosebumps indeed
Same, yet the desert ride of both riders of Old and new is to me iconic yet like a passing the legacy to another.
Agree, I saved this clip in my playlist for that particular scene....

Well it could be a lot worst, could be Daredevil

Due to the Ghost Rider re-branding, Carter Slade is often forgotten as the first actual Ghost Rider, not Johnny. It's good that despite this movie's reputation as being one of the "bad" superhero movies, it paid respect to the actual comic book history. That one scene of the two of them riding across the Western desert made the whole movie.
Carter Slade > Johnny Blaze > Danny Ketch > Dep. Michael Badilino > Robbie Reyes
Except that Badilino's Rider is called Vengeance, and Ketch is the successor of Johnny Blaze only in the comics.
It’s actually a good movie
While technically you’re correct, Carter Slade was only ever Ghost Rider in name. In origins, Carter Slade the Ghost Rider was a Wild West hero with two guns and a really white horse. In the future he did eventually become a Ghost, but he was never a Ghost Rider save for name.
@@Spooderman-sq5uj Carter Slade was known as The Phantom Rider in the comics.
I thought the first ghost rider was in Avengers 1m BC. The ghost rider there was riding a mammoth.

*Laughs in Sinister Supreme Dr. Strange*
Okay can we just imagine. We’re out in the wild west, riding away from a posse. We get away, then, we turn around, and see a cowboy and a horse on fire bearing down on us.
I’d accept death at that point.
Sometimes a spirit can still be trapped in limbo, by those who cannot come to terms with their loved ones death
In the comics, there's a Ghost Rider of 1,000,000 B.C. (human history is kind of different in Marvel, there were human-like people around earlier than in the real world). He rides a flaming woolly mammoth.
He's a member of the first iteration of the Avengers (that the modern ones probably know nothing about): Odin, Firehair (a red-headed mutant who was the first host of the Phoenix Force on Earth (and possibly the reason it seems to keep seeking out mutant human redheads on Earth), Ghost Rider, Iron Fist (the then-current champion of Kun-Lun), the first Black Panther, Agamotto (when he was a mortal-born son of Oshtur and Hoggoth fated to lay the groundwork for mortals to learn sorcery, before he ascended to godhood), Starbrand (a gay Neanderthal, and no, I'm not making any part of that up), and Odin, All-Father of Asgard and wielder (with a lot of cussing about it not obeying him) of Mjolnir.
The comics are called Avengers 1,000,000 BC. Worth a read.
I would love to see a prequel set in the wild west just to see that scene played out.

And you know slade loved every minute of it
It was his salvation he finally rode for what was right he waited a long time and Jonny saved him.
Slade knew that this was something new and even more powerful he even said as much with his own salvation he even gave Jonny a way out.
So slade is dead?
@@Jose-xp7xf Yes is an educated guess. He was over 100 years old that ride was the last of his power.
this scene is often under appreciated, but I think it is one of the very best in cinematic history. The two Ghostriders----the original and the modern-----riding together towards destiny, both riding mounts appropriate to their days. Thrilling and moving.
He may have my soul but he doesn't have my spirit
I love that line
Give me goosebumps every time
Yeah it showed that even though he sold his soul his spirit is untouchable before he owns it based on what he believes in and what he craves to do as a hero...it shown strength in him that he no one where near evil cause his heart is too precious for that.

2 Ghost riders, past n present. That's just a great scene.
It's a stupid scene for so many reasons
@@liberationpocket7950please enlighten us as to what would these reasons be
@@VictorMarwood For one, Carter Slade wasn't even a "Ghost Rider" in the sense of having the Spirit of Vengeance. Traditionally, he was just a gunslinger who had a completely white costume. I like how despite being no longer in his prime, Slade was faster than Johnny. A younger Slade would be terrifying in the late 1800s (he is over 100 years old).
i am rather with the camp "Johnny was only matching Slade´s as Slade knew where to go,whilst Johnny didn´t." and its kinda evident when you see where they stopped (on a spot, from which Johnny himself already could´ve seen where to go next, thus no longer needing a "tour" guide)
He did outride the devil
@@Oi325 well, the Devil even in the modern days did not like light that much, which as we saw gave Slade an advantage, with his sudden transformation acting like a flashbang, plus maybe since then Devil got better as he was seemingly able to appear in front of young Johnny driving somewhere
@@r3l1csvk yeah that's true!!
3:45 shows how experienced Slade is for if GR really turns into his "evil" form in presence of evil was really just experiencxe,or control not wasting that last time when Blackheart and co. came to him and beaten the crap off of him
As Ghost Riders change more and more, they learn to control their actions and eventually they learn to fully control the Ghost Rider spirit, transforming only when they intend to. Carter Slade had 500 transformations as part of his contract. Might not sound like too many - it isn't even enough for a year and a half of transforming every night - but this movie showed us how quickly it's possible to gain control over the Ghost Rider. Johnny Blaze transformed like 3 times with no control over his actions or transformation and then was able to influence the Rider's actions, which led to him being able to control the Rider in this clip. In the second movie, his control slips a little, likely due to his self-isolation, but he becomes powerful enough as a Ghost Rider to revive the dead.
The way the horse runs along the beat of the song playing goes so hard I get chills everytime watching that scene 🤠
By far the coolest transformation in Marvel Universe
Could you imagine for a moment, what it would have been like if we got Blackheart vs. both Johnny and Slade and after the fight is over Slade tells Johnny that he only had one last ride in him before leaving?
That would have been a very poignant "Passing The Torch" moment as Carter rides off into the afterlife having helped Johnny in defeating the Devils' kid.
OMG...that would have been a perfect ending even those so-called critics would have dug!

This movie was not as bad as the reviews made it out to be, as technology was improving for the CGI needs. This is simply THE BEST scene in the movie for me, and let’s not forget to pay our respects by sharing that they FREAKIN NAILED the scene with the classic riff w/ an updated touch from Spiderbait, “(Ghost) Riders in the Sky”. Next to Wolverine Blade and Spiderman; Ghost Rider is and always will be my favorite of the OG MCU. Before Iron Man & The Avengers, we had these and they all would have made a great addition to the MCU had they went that route. Kids today don’t know what we had growing up, Toby Maguire, Hugh Jackman, Ben Afleck even Chris Evans before his time in the MCU, and Nicholas Cage created the groundwork for what the MCU stands on today.
