But if you notice, he never has attacked politically correct or anti-nationalist ideas. The divisions in society, over the past twenty years or so have in my opinion been becoming less left v. right and more politically correct/woke v. traditional nationalist/patriotic. I think he's PC and largely woke, hence he was bound to be against Brexit. But nonetheless I think he has integrity and I think he's generally sincere unlike many in his profession.
HIGNFY from 1990-2000 made him the most important person in the country. We really need someone like that now to speak out against this mad lockdown strategy.

He made a serious error in treating Johnson as a joke. Feel like HIGNFY was a place for him to let loose from his more serious job. But he forgot himself too often.

But the fact that the Yes movement is losing momentum day by day, with Alex Salmonds doing U-turns on everything from the EU to Nato and what currency you will all be using, it's looking VERY unlikely. And I am glad. Scotland is as much my country as England is yours. In these hard times we should remain united rather than divide up and screw everyone else.
Council Hislop can help write the Scottish constitution (the best that will ever be written) when we become a republic...after we are Independent in 2014.
