Yeah. Nice coming back to a game years later and doing better at parts that used to take you so long. Even in your stream with a fresh Dante you did a lot better to those frosts. Yeah, it wasn't DMD mode, but still.
Probably not! I tried to S-rank DMC3 when I first played it and found it way harder than DMC1 or DMC4 to S-rank. Who knows, though. Maybe I'll find it easier this time around.
@nightmare DMC3's DMD sure is brutal, I think the toughest in the series, by comparison only DMC4's GMD mode matches it, btw will you consider doing a fresh playthrough of DMC3 with vergil, maybe on very hard? :)
I'll definitely consider it! My problem with Vergil is I never really learned how to play him. Once I'm done replaying DMC2 for achievements, though, I'm going to revisit 3 and hopefully learn Vergil properly this time. If I get decent at him, I'll do a stream playthrough with him!
@nightmare, Okay, I will be looking forward to it. ^^ DMC3 vergil is quite fun, he may feel limited as compared to his DMC4 counterpart, but in DMC4 he plays basically like a super character because of which I prefer the former. DMC2 achievement hunt? What? O.o I think one of the achievement requires you to play through the game as trish, if you feel like it maybe record that part of your run and add it to you existing DMC2 playlist. :P

Ah man, I really liked how DMC1 did DMD mode so much more than DMC3. Enemies not having a whole ton of health even before triggering was good.
Yeah DMC1 has my favorite DMD mode in the series! DT'd enemies are terrifying without being super tedious.

You CANNOT critical hit a shadow on the PS3's HD collection past normal mode. I spent 40 minutes doing it to one on Hard and it did fuck all.
