I did a bunch of playthroughs with the same file. You can just keep saving up orbs as you play. I did a bunch of playthroughs to collect blue orbs and do secret missions and achievements, then I did a bunch more playthroughs while going for S-ranks.
Welp, same as last time, here we go. In theory, wouldn't you just be able to go for speed and no damage, thus completely skipping the death scissor and griffon? Huh... thought there was a Death Scissor in the room with Ifrit... Decent farm run, freaking lizards XD Nice avoidance of Raging Lightning, good thing you remembered this time. Although fuck that lightning net attack, doesn't that thing track vertically on the harder modes? As said last time, Grenades OP XD Pretty decent mission 9 Follow the light time. gotta get the orbs you can I guess. Lucky with that slash Lucky pillar block XD AGAIN playing with Upper Guard He leaves himself after every combo got greedy, ate an Angelo High Time. Dark Souls strikes again. Again, decent Nelo fight, aside from that one hit XD Oh boy, THIS mission. XD Am I the only one who feels like the underwater stuff was just shoehorned in, considering the way underwater worked in mission 3? Interesting thing to note; your needle shots and the blades claws will deflect each other. Glacier, as I call it. Kinda the opposite of Inferno. Ok, Death Scythe again. That went well, now for Griffon. "I can see a new horizon, underneath the blazing sky, I'll be where the eagles flying higher and higher!" And there's the vertical lightning net. Griffon loops. Thinking about it, notice how both the lighting using bosses of 1 and 3 have loops? Nevan also has the lightning curtain attack Griffon uses. He does love that attack in this fight, doesn't he? Not sure if you have to kill the death scythe to be able to pay the door. Personally, I prefer the poison door, but that's me. "Stay triggered and kill them quickly" or you could keep missing. Yet another Death Scythe in place of Sins XD At least they made it so that if you get nailed by a lightning blast, griffon doesn't fire any more until you're up again. Prevents you getting chained. Haha fun write-up! Yeah you should be able to S-rank Mission 9 with by going fast enough and taking no damage. Would definitely be easier than fighting Griffon!
WP as always! you know as cool as it is to kill in flashy ways in other dmc games there is something way more badass about just killing them efficiently with critical hits and stuff like that it just fits dmc1 dante really well. grenade launcher kinda ruins it though
Accountingnightmare I challenge you to do a playthrough of dmc4 once again, but here's the catch you can use pandora and nothing but pandora! Do you accept?
