JerryRigEverything just did a video on this. The X2's durability is a lacking big time. A bit of dust rendered the phone useless! It wouldn't fold anymore, so that was it. The gloves were off! But it was mostly the hinge design that failed on his; the screen held up better than I expected after watching those videos, and Jerry is very harsh with the folds and screens! There is no dust or dirt protection on the X2; it was full of it when he stripped it down to bits! It's a must-see video on his channel now.
If you watched, you'd understand it's not even the dust but the problem starts with the first folded screen. If the hinge on the screen side not the back mistakenly hit the ground is scratched by things like keys, problems starts with the whole screen. So, I'm not sure how any user is supposed to prevent these things that are bound to happen in everyday life. In other words, without the case, the phone is basically a bomb waiting to go off.
