DJI Phantom 3 Compass Error Fix

- I bought a DJI Phantom 3 Pro a couple months ago. The compass started giving me a permanent calibration error(even when there was no magnetic interference). I tried the strong magnet fix people suggested, but ended up having to replace the compass for $15.
I bought the part from Rotor Logic on Amazon. The part is listed as: "DJI Phantom 11 Compass (3 Part)"
The compass calibration started working again immediately after changing the part.

After my crash, I can’t seem to calibrate , keeps giving me an error. I might need a new compass? How is your placement working out? I’m seeing new legs and compass for $15 on Amazon.
Bruno Brunetti fix still works good
zemaoner I just did mine and works. I'm now getting gimbal errors and noticed that mother board is broken clean off of all four mounts. Good news is I can still fly w new compass!
Great! Glad the compass fix worked! Maybe a little glue on the mother board will help?
How do you replace it? I thought the video was titled how to fix compass error? Not how to remove the shell? I appreciate the hints for removing the shell but could you please post a video on how to change the compass? I'd appreciate it as I'm constantly getting this compass error after a small crash. I just about had my drone fly away today and have had it for 2 weeks ha don't get Anna lose $1000 yikes! Appreciate a how to change the compass video as I'm not to tech savvy :)
Its a simple fix getting the new compass in...the only hard part is removing the shell. Finding the right compass part number for the Phantom 3 Pro was also a little difficult. I've been flying 4 months now with the new compass and haven't had any problems.
