Regarding the the Abas roll... you can’t pull on the leg ankle because of the stoppage now... we learned it in our room with Jerry, Stephen and Norman.. Along with Greg Gascon the older brother...All the abas brothers.. We control the knee that we are attacking and then lock our hands at the knee..control our legs by keeping them back.. the we roll..

Hey coach I'm huge fan and I've always appreciated your time and effort on answering my questions wich are all under MMA rules :
-isn't it better to always clasp my hands in a Double leg if not when should I do it?
-what do you think about cross facing the exponent in a sprawl?
-how do I use butterfly hooks from my back?
And again thank you for the help and time you put into answering and please don't be brief we are stuck anyways

If you mean should you lock your hands on a double, then that is a preference thing. I personally like to lace around the calves, but I know a wrestler who's done some mma as well who likes to lock his hands. He says that if you lock your hands on a double, you should lock under the butt.
The purpose of a sprawl is to put a lot of weight on your opponent, so you can cross face to get their head inside if they put it to the outside, but if you ask me stuffing the head is crucial to a sprawl. Especially in MMA, I would stuff the head because it sets up a guillotine. So if their head is outside you can cross face it inside and then stuff him.

Brian & Anton: The dynamic duo strikes again.
It's great to watch you guys mind-creating off each other. Two experts discussing moves with each other is definitely more interesting format than one expert explain to his student. These videos with Anton are your best works!

Coach, on a grappling match would you be susceptible to inverted triangle or donkey guard?

    • @TheBuckMuscles

I'm still getting caught in an inverted triangle, or my opponent just sits back.

@@TheBuckMuscles control a foot at all time and they’ll be no triangle
