Hello, I just wanted to let you know that I solved the problem described in my last comment below. I found out by watching a serger repair man's video that I needed to move the fixed blade to the right more (seam width adjustment knob). That got rid of those loops hanging off of the edge of the seam. Also, by studying the owner's manual carefully I was able to finally thread it properly. So, as it turned out there was nothing wrong with my Pfaff, I just didn't know what I was doing. Thank you for all of your help, and the videos about the Pfaff 4862
@@Sivenjezapocetnike Yes, so good to talk to you again! I'm glad you saw this newest message. I had sent you so many messages in the past about all the problems I was having, and I just wanted you to know that I have finally gotten most everything figured out. As it turned out there was nothing wrong with the Pfaff, I just didn't know what I was doing. Now, several months later I can finally use my coverlock! If you are interested, I will send you a picture of the dress I'm making when finished. If so, please let me know should I send it to your email address? I still have it saved in my email address book.😊
Hello, I've studied the owner's manual for days, and watched your video many times. I am doing program 2 like you, and I'm sure that I have it threaded correctly. I think there must be something else wrong because it cuts and sews right along, but the stitches don't stay in the fabric. At the end of stitching, there are just four threads coming out of the machine with nothing in the fabric. 😵💫I'm at my wits end!
@@Sivenjezapocetnike Thank you for answering. I don't know what locked your video letter means. Maybe if you know someone who can read English they could tell you what I said. I'm sorry I can't communicate with you because I can't speak German except for maybe four words.😊
@@Sivenjezapocetnike Thank you so much for always answering me. You are so nice, I wish we spoke the same language so that we could talk. I want you to know that after watching your video so many times, and studying the owner's manual, I was threading it right. It turns out that I didn't have the needles in the right side, so that is why it wasn't working. It coverlocks and serges now, however, it's still not right, so I am going to have to take it to a Pfaff dealer. I think I messed up the knife and stitch width wheel somehow when I was messing with it while trying to figure it out. It shuts off, and won't run if I try to set the width at 5.5 like it says for program 2. I have to put it at 3.5 to get it to run again, so something is off. At 3.5 the loops are way off of the edge of the fabric. It's such a pain, but hopefully the Pfaff people can fix it. Thank you so much again! 😊
Hello, please do this threading video of the Pfaff Coverlock 4862 in English if possible. I'm just following the pictures so to speak, but really want to know what you're saying. Thank you so much.
@@Sivenjezapocetnike Thank you so much. I hope that you can do it, as you are my last hope. You are the only one out there that I can find that has a video on the threading. I have watched your video at least fifteen times trying to figure it out. Thanks again so much.😊
@@tomihill01 Did you get your machine figured out? I've watched this video a hundred times.. and my lower looper thread is still way too loose (all settings for Program 2 are correct). I found on another site that there was a DVD that came with this machine when they were new.. so trying to find it and have sent a message to PFAFF. Just curious if you found a threading guide in English?
@@jangrimm3355 Hello Jan, I don't know if I answered you or not. I did figure out the correct threading after going over the owner's manual and watching the German lady's video a hundred times. However, I messed up something with the machine somehow while I was trying to figure everything out. Because, if I set the stitch regulator to the correct number to get the stitch I want the machine stops and won't sew. So, I am going to have to take it to the Pfaff dealer to get this figured out. It's so annoying because I can get it threaded correctly now and set it to the stitch I want, but then it refuses to sew at that correct number. I don't think that a threadind DVD was made for this machine, but if you keep going over the owner's manua, and follow it to the letter, you'll figure it out. I am so pissed because now I have 3 Pfaffs that aren't working and need to go to the Pfaff dealer! Two are my fault because they set too long without use, but still, they were all top of the line when bought, and expensive! Let me know how you do. Tomi
