    6 month update:
    Mufflers are still off! Car still sounds great and police never bothered me about it even when I got pulled over for other stuff. Being from Wisconsin it gets really cold here so the cold starts sound fantastic. Once in a while I'll get a crackle or pop which is nice too! Put 18k miles since this and it hasn't bothered me in terms of being annoying or anything like that. Oh and if you put it in Ds mode it kinda sounds nicer because it's mimicking a real automatic so when it drops the rpms it sounds like a normal car shifting even though it's not and if doesn't really make the car faster 😂

      @@tylerarnold3971 the fact that someone thinks a shitty muffler delete of a 4 banger Altima sounds like a gtr which is a v6 and the fact that it is compared to a completely different engine at all lol, that doesn’t sound similar at all. Not to mention the only way it could somehow come anywhere to making sense would be talking about the exhaust sound at idle, which is just rumbling which doesn’t sound the same other than the fact it’s lower tone at idle. So yeah I just think it’s a pretty retarded non car thing to say it sounds like it, but again this is a video of a city car 4 banger altima with the muffler cut off so the viewers of this video do not surprise me.

      By me it's technically illegal but I haven't gotten bothered about it. I got pulled over for speeding and they didn't say anything. It's quiet at idle and cruising speeds. I heard that taking the resonator off might make it sound raspy and way louder that's why I didn't do it. Take off the mufflers yourself since they're bolted on and see if you like the sound and if it's good enough. Winter is here in Wisconsin and the cold starts sound amazing!!

      MKE Car Connection do you have the original transmission or did you have to have it fixed already? I have a 2015 SV. Mine blew at under 50,000 miles. One thing I suggest EVERYONE with a Nissan CVT do is change the CVT fluid much sooner than the “recommended” intervals. My recommended interval is 60,000 miles, so I’d change the fluid at 30,000 to 45,000 to be safe. I think nissan intentionally lies about how many miles to change the transmission fluid, because they know their transmissions won’t last until that amount of miles.

    • @mkecarconnection3808

      Sport mode makes no difference in sound. It's just like brining the rpms up to 3k.

    Did you get a check engine light after this ?

    • @mkecarconnection3808
      @mkecarconnection3808  5 лет назад +4

      Christian Cruz no you shouldn't ever get a check engine light when taking the mufflers off. I think if you take off the catalytic converter then you get a check engine light because you throw off a sensor or something like that but with mufflers you should always be good.

    How loud is it on the inside?

    • @mkecarconnection3808
      @mkecarconnection3808  4 года назад

      So cold weather start up when you're idling it's not loud but it is noticiable. Quiet down as car warms up. When driving even when I get up to 3k where it seems to be the most noticeable, you can still have a normal conversation over it. Not too loud. Idling with a warm engine or just cruising under 2k rpm and you don’t really notice any difference to the Car

    Does it ruin mpg?

    • @mkecarconnection3808
      @mkecarconnection3808  5 лет назад +1

      Yes and no. My MPG did go down a little but that was because i kept messing around and getting on the gas but once i went back to driving normal my mpgs returned to what they were before. I drive about 3k miles a month and get 29 combined and 37-42 highway

      MKE Car Connection not bad at all, does it affect resale value or void any warranties mine already expired but I’m financing my car out and doubt dealership cares yk

    • @steven7297
      @steven7297 5 лет назад

      MKE Car Connection aswell as that in winter is it worse for your engine since the exhaust is not there ?

    • @mkecarconnection3808
      @mkecarconnection3808  5 лет назад

      The Boss it could affect resale value unless you sell it to someone who likes how it sounds 😂 but both ways keep the mufflers after you remove them. I have mine sitting iny garage so when I do get rid of the car I'll have a shop put them back on

    • @mkecarconnection3808
      @mkecarconnection3808  5 лет назад

      The Boss no it won't affect the engine in the winter. Only difference you'll notice is it does get louder on start up during the winter months. Here is Wisconsin we have brutal winters and I've had no issues

      MKE Car Connection fasho man. I might take off the mid pipe to see what it sounds like first, and if it sounds like s*** I’ll just put it back on. I’ll do a video when I do it

      Devon Harris nice yeah I’d love to see a video. I’ve actually been driving this car a little harder in the city because of the sound especially since it’s cold af here in Wisconsin and it sounds so good but my mpg dropped.
