I CRIED multiple times throughout Guardians 3. Lylla dying, Rocket's near death, and Rocket saving the baby raccoons hit me SOOO hard on my heart strings the most. 😭😭😭😭
@@joebond545 Those 3 Marvel Phase 4 films I LOVE. Shang-Chi being number 3, Wakanda Forever being number 2, and No Way Home is number 1 in my opinion. My underrated Phase 4 Disney+ show is Falcon and the Winter Solider. That had serious tones, U.S. Agent being an underrated badass, the bond between Sam and Bucky, and Sam getting the shield.
I think they did fantastic without killing the characters. The way the movie was written, we FELT the stakes. We felt the feelings of the characters, and the stakes of their relationships and lives. The movie truly made you fear for the characters with your SOUL, and the ending was so bittersweet and perfect.

Was a genuinely tough watch at times but made all the better for it. As for crying, I managed to hold it in until Nebula's reaction to hearing Rocket was okay. It was so emotional and that particular moment highlighted the perfect evolution of her story arc. Hit me so hard!
I was sure Star Lord was gonna die, and when he started bloating in space, I was like “here it is”… I’m super glad they saved him, though, and can’t wait to see how they bring him back in the future. I’d love to see him battle The Olympians!
This movie hit me so hard. It was such a fantastic movie. All the scenes with rocket literally had me in my feels. James Gunn and the cast really did an amazing job.
He was one of mu faves becuase in video games hes a beast but after this movie my love for Rocket has gone all the way up in space! Love Rocket best movie thus far! ❤
The Peter and Gamora storyline got to me personally and I really felt that lost connection and the rocket story was just so heartbreaking and I loved this movie it was a wonderful watch
As someone who has a rescue dog that was saved from a breeding and experimentation facility, this movie sheds light onto those animals. The fear they endure. The treatment they go through. I cant even look at my dog the same without wanting to give her as much love as i can. I held back tears successfully unlike my girlfriend who was balling. All we could think of was her.
I just watched it last night. I think that’s what made me despise High Revolutionary so much. The fact that the animal experimentation is a real thing, which makes it more heart breaking. You could see and hear the fear in rockets voice when he says “hurts” as his first word. I’m so glad you got your dog bud
The opening scene of Baby Rocket already made my chest feel heavy. Then every time there was a flashback of him and Batch 89 I was waiting for all hell to break loose until it did. Finally, the Limbo scene of Ghost Lylla, Ghost Teefs and Ghost Floor. I was like “oh my god no” and my friend who was with me took notice of this. Finally the Guardians splitting up and the dance party shattered whatever part of me was left and I came out of the theater completely broken. What a movie. I need more like it
I loved the movie. I loved everything about it. Although it is true that how the High Evolutionary is so bad of torturing and experimenting on animals. It's sad of Rocket's origins too. But I loved the movie a lot. Can't wait to see it again!! 100/100
I say you didn't "HATE" or dislike the cybernetic creature characters, I believe it was more of you empathizing with the creatures for the horrific treatment they went through... Due to use knowing these animals as soft cuddly beings instead of experiments
I thoroughly enjoyed Rocket's story, all elements, absolutely everything. He has always been my favourite character. I very much enjoyed seeing Mantis in action much more than in any other MCU film, she was amazing in the fights!
Why nobody is talking about the Peter and Gamora back to back conversation ? That was one of the highlights in the movie and brilliant way of closing the topic of Peter getting over Gamora
Totally with Wendy. Part of me wonders if Jamese Gun himself or someone on the team spread the rumors about character's death to make us anticipate something like that to happen. I kept thinking each character was about to die throughout the whole film and that kept me on edge.
Dude I legit cried when Lila got shot in front of rocket that scene bothered me bad..but rocket ripping his face off was graphic for a MCU movie n I got chills n I wanted to stand up n clap cuz rocket was tearing him up
I liked that they didn’t die and they made you think anyone could die at anytime. Like a few of them had scenes that you were like oh no… also thought this was the best movie. Funny sad action drama great acting great director perfect story telling.
What do you think the High Evolutionary's main assistant (the woman) meant when she confronted him near the end with, "we will lose our bargaining power."
So since you were the one that said that no one died, I will say They're running it back. Always leave them wanting more. some doors have shut and some doors remain open. A new team is upon us
High Evolutionary could still be alive, yes he got his face ripped off, and left to die on his ship, though hes extremely powerful and they did leave him alive, we didnt see him actually die so theres a possibility he could come back and then we can learn more about him, who is he really, where did he come from, how did he manage to gain this much power, and we could see him unleash his true power even more
Just when I thought I would never ugly cry. I ugly cried from the moment Rocket went berserk on Herbert Wyndam/High Evolutionary. The entire trilogy has pulled all of the emotions out of me over the years, making it the most consistent MCU trilogy, but THIS re-solidifies why James Gunn is truly the Mad Scientist of Movie Making. 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
This movie was amazing! I started crying right from the start and throughout the whole thing. The only thing I’ve got a complaint with is Groot’s line at the end when he said “I love you guys” really rubbed me the wrong way for some reason. Maybe it was just me and it’s really a minor nitpick but still gave me a weird feeling.
@@Lazerchicken69 I didn’t see that, but it definitely makes it feel less like its a decision that came from out of left field. I felt like I had got thrown into a Fast & Furious movie for a second but thats probably a me thing lol. Love the explanation for why it’s included though. It puts a nice cherry on top of the goodbye.
James Gunn has since confirmed that actually all Groot said was "I am Groot", it's just now finally as the audience we understood him in that moment, just like all of the Guardians can understand him. I personally loved that extra perspective Gunn gave us
Tumi my favorite part was when they were opening the door to go cross the bridge into the main part of the ship to watch them all work together even gamora when it seemed like old times she's trying to get away because she didn't want to be compared to her old former self but the part that really kind of made me sniffle was when rocket guide for brief moment and to know that his whole life he was feeling that guilt for not being able to save his friends and then the moment when he asked if he could come with them they said of course but not right now. Oh man ..😢
This movie is really great, it's so sad but doesn't let the audience get lost in sadness for too long with after the sad scene there are jokes after that.
Solid 9 out of 10. Absolutely loved the movie. It is the most emotional MCU film to date and I cried a lot during the movie. Loved what they did with each member at the end, especially Rocket becoming the new leader of the Guardians. Was surprised that no one died, but was glad that no one did. Loved the soundtrack as well. Overall I really loved the movie. Not sure if it is better than the first one, but I will have think on that one before I make a final decision.
Holy shiiii. I LOVED this movie. I'm not a taken aback by the "Toy Storyesque" creature The High Evolutionary created. It truly made the High Evolutionary even more despicable and grotesque. This is easily a top 5 Marvel movie for me. The original GoTG is top 5 as well, along with Winter Soldier, Ragnarok, Infinity War and Endgame. Peter meeting his Grandpa again after all these years - that was the final straw that just did me in.... But wow. So many other wet moments throughout the movie... Best of all - the humor didn't feel forced, like it was in the GOTG V2, nor Thor Love and Thunder. This was just a damn good movie from soup to night, and a real rollercoaster ride.
I was impressed in general about the movie and it was nice to see the main individuals survive while other new characters joined the crew; but I will probably need to watch it more for clarity.
Can anyone explain to me why Starlord didn’t have his mask and thrusters? He could’ve used it to prevent him from freezing, Adam warlock didn’t have to save him..and when he jumped out of the ship, that was my only gripe about the movie
It broke during the fight with Thanos in Infinity War. And when he came back from being dusted, he hasn’t been in the right head space. So getting shit like his mask and his thrusters fixed would’ve been a normal priority for good head space Peter. (Idk, just what I came up with)
8.5/10 awesome soundtrack and score, awesome action, awesome character development, awesome villain, awesome emotion. Pacing a bit off at times, and a few things were rushed but a great movie and James gunn doesn't miss period
The good thing is that I'm also one of those who believed that someone will die that's why throughout the movie, I'm expecting death and the ending is a big relief to know that no one died. Great job James Gunn.
I loved this movie sm. i was devastated seeing rockets origin. The high evolutionary is a top tier villain, i hated him sm but that's what makes him such a great villain. I cried a few times seeing the movie. This movie was truly a great ending to the trilogy and i liked how everyone got their happy ending, and im shocked no guardians died. But i think, in. terms of closure, Drax should've died. I say this because i know Dave Bautista has publicly stated this is his last time playing Drax; and if we see characters like Nebula, Mantis, Starlord all reunite after they went their separate ways and Draw is left out, i will be wondering where he is and why he didn't show up for whatever reason is reuniting these characters. Just so im not left wondering these questions about Drax i think he should've been killed off because if all the characters except Drax reunite in the future ill be hoping for some cameo of him. I also agree, i hoped the movie would have addressed what that thing is in Adams head but hopefully it will be explained in future projects.
I don't know if it is an easter egg, but i think i heard the avengers theme? Can't wait for the new Mantis❤ she has more fight scenes here and is more wiser now. Potential villain also.. she has more to offer.❤
Didn't expect Rocket Raccoon to have flashback of Lylla Otter and the rest of his childhood friends when he's clinging onto life? It's sad that he alone escaped from the High Evolutionary. How come he never told the rest of the Guardians about this and did he ever tell Groot and Thor? What would have happened if Lylla_Otter escaped with Rocket Raccoon which would make sense since the first movie showed me the Nova Corps seeing Rocket's records which showed both Lylla and Groot as accomplices?
I haven't this video yet, for some reason I just decided to comment because I know most of the things you gonna talk about in this review, you've already talked about long before the movie came out. I've seen it with Spiderman NWH, everything was absolutely accurate and multiple other shows too. When it comes to the MCU I've always been a step ahead when it come to me and my friends (from all the way back to the Infinity Saga), This channel has kinda made me a Marvel genius 😂 which is why I subscribed and had the notification bell on (I never skip a day without watching you daily content). Thank you for such an amazing channel, now I'm all the way in South Africa, I'm not sure that being this far I'd qualify to get into the give away competition 😅
Guys this was clearly an Adam Warlock origin story for the MCU - They are setting him up to be a big player in the Avengers films. He'll get his big comic book style moment for sure in Kang Dynasty / Secret Wars
I enjoyed the movie a lot!! I had a lot laughs and tears. I liked the darker tone a little but I definitely have to say the darker tone and the animals mixed with technology is my least favorite part of the movie. They really messed with us when Peter almost died but I’m honestly pretty glad as well none of the Guardians died!
This movie was arguably a top 5 marvel movie of all time had everything you would basically want very funny lots of action and a very sinister villain and his assistant as well
Awesome movie, no question ! but Adam Arc makes literally no sense : GotG2 is set inside the mcu in 2014, Then we have the blip, The 5 years that follow, The time with Thor until T4, The holiday special is set in December 2025 inside the mcu, GotG3 is set sometime after, so 2026 inside mcu. = 12 (!) years that Adam been stuck in the cocoon until gotg3. Then he is able to directly find Rocket and use his powers, but his mind is underdeveloped? And the HIGH evolutionary and the PERFECT sovereign CANT come up with something to upgrade him ? (Or control him at least, like the hundreds of space ships piloted per vr in gotg2 ?) Like I said, with all love, that’s lazy writing, he made Adam Warlock an op baby that had more years inside the cocoon than any human baby would need inside a human womb, pretty high evo 😂 and that from a race like the sovereign (that evolved from giving birth to pods because its more efficient and faster) and that can control via vr, Or that could have just sat down with HE and figure out an upgrade lol
I think his main power is the fact he is clearly a psychopath and has no limits in reaching his goal. Regardless of his powerset that alone makes him captivating and intimidating
For me the FINAL HALLWAY TEAM FIGHT SCENE X FINAL BOSS TEAM TAKEDOWN was ABSOLUTE GENIUS.... DEF TOP 5 SUPERHERO BATTLE SCENES OF ALL TIME. THE POV CAMERA WORK WAS EVERYTHING!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
@@darklordfalcon3670 I know it’s possible I just mean no directors or writers other than James Gunn would make that happen as much as it would be great
One of the reasons James Gunn didnt kill off any of the Guarding is because of possible cross over with DC. But i am not one to gossip so you didnt hear that from me.😊😅
I love how Nebula has evolved. One of my favorite aspects of the movie. I also totally think she got a power upgrade since the first gotg. I think she'd win a rematch between her and Gamora after this film.
I thought Mobious in TVA said that the stones "are never destroyed, they just go somewhere else," so maybe the new cosmic stone really is in Warlock's head, and this is its new form, and it will be addressed when he becomes the hero who blasts through the ultimate bad in secret wars, only to go crazy, and become the crazy older version of himself, that in the future his younger self traps in the soul stone. Would that mean...Warlock only loves himself and...throws himself off the cliff? Meh.
Thank goodness Marvel brought back James Gunn!! Such a beautiful movie. You knew from the opening that this would be special!! My only issue is I don’t see where/how the high evolutionary got his powers. Would’ve loved about another 30 seconds of them just absolutely destroying him in the final battle!
I really enjoyed this movie so much. I am so glad that it was everything I expected from The Guardians of the Galaxy. Marvel has not been up to par in Movies and Tv Shows the last couple years but this movie revives them 100%. Only thing i did not care for as much was Adam Warlock. I feel like his story was lost a bit, that he was kinda just there and should have had more of a role. Especially if he is to be a future Guardian his story should have been more focused on. Will Poulter still did a great job. Still this movie was great and I will enjoy watching it again this time with the other 2 movies as a Trilogy.

I can't wait to see starlord on his earthly adventures, he should definitely Link up with spiderman
The good thing is that I'm also one of those who believed that someone will die that's why throughout the movie, I'm expecting death and the ending is a big relief to know that no one died. Great job James Gunn.
Simple explanation absolutely loved it .
I am a man that isn’t really a tear jerker but man this movie got me, great film
I teared a little and also I just want to point out that Rocket did Die but was revived after that was the scene that got me 😢✌🏼
I loved this movie sm. i was devastated seeing rockets origin.
I just got done seeing this yesterday
This movie hit me, as much as End Game and I nearly cried 4 separate times. Excellent movie and I hated Evolutionary too
Didn't expect Rocket Raccoon to have flashback of Lylla Otter and the rest of his childhood friends when he's clinging onto life?
Hate is a pretty strong word. Why exactly did you hate those creature hybrids so much?! They were pretty normal characters for a guardians film
Rocket and the baby raccoons tho😭😭😭😭 SOO ADORABLE!!!!!
Guys this was clearly an Adam Warlock origin story for the MCU - They are setting him up to be a big player in the Avengers films. He'll get his big comic book style moment for sure in Kang Dynasty / Secret Wars
I will see it this week and from what I have read and my friends said it's amazing and heartbreaking i can't wait to see it
The main thing in the movie that upset me was the death baiting
The cyborg animals reminded me of the swedish classic RPG "Mutant". I love that stuff
Adam Warlock is like the space version of Vision to me.
This was actually the first movie that made me cry. Strange thing is that it happend when i watched it second time. Amazing movie
Just seen the movie earlier today and all I gotta say is phenomenal. Phenomenal movie.
Favorite Hero: Batman
This movie was arguably a top 5 marvel movie of all time had everything you would basically want very funny lots of action and a very sinister villain and his assistant as well
Awesome movie, no question !
but Adam Arc makes literally no sense :
GotG2 is set inside the mcu in 2014,
Then we have the blip,
The 5 years that follow,
The time with Thor until T4,
The holiday special is set in December 2025 inside the mcu,
GotG3 is set sometime after, so 2026 inside mcu.
=
12 (!) years that Adam been stuck in the cocoon until gotg3.
Then he is able to directly find Rocket and use his powers, but his mind is underdeveloped?
And the HIGH evolutionary and the PERFECT sovereign CANT come up with something to upgrade him ?
(Or control him at least, like the hundreds of space ships piloted per vr in gotg2 ?)
Like I said, with all love, that’s lazy writing, he made Adam Warlock an op baby that had more years inside the cocoon than any human baby would need inside a human womb, pretty high evo 😂
and that from a race like the sovereign (that evolved from giving birth to pods because its more efficient and faster) and that can control via vr,
Or that could have just sat down with HE and figure out an upgrade lol
To be fair, Rocket did die briefly, but almost all the Guardians took enough damage to be killed several times over.... whichvibthought was funny
I loved the high evolutionary my only problem was I wanted to see more of his actual powers
I think his main power is the fact he is clearly a psychopath and has no limits in reaching his goal. Regardless of his powerset that alone makes him captivating and intimidating
Someone was cutting onions in the theater for sure..
For me the FINAL HALLWAY TEAM FIGHT SCENE X FINAL BOSS TEAM TAKEDOWN was ABSOLUTE GENIUS.... DEF TOP 5 SUPERHERO BATTLE SCENES OF ALL TIME. THE POV CAMERA WORK WAS EVERYTHING!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I would say I would love to see Lylla, Teef and floor to be back in more future MCU movies becase it is a multiverse after all
I don’t think there the type of characters to see variants of in the future
@@qwertyuiop-hw7cp they might be or Mabe a way to bring them back only the future hold that
@@darklordfalcon3670 I know it’s possible I just mean no directors or writers other than James Gunn would make that happen as much as it would be great
@@qwertyuiop-hw7cp exactly if only they have James to do so and keep his legacy as a writer in future guardians of the galaxy
@@darklordfalcon3670 if only 😢
Rocket Raccoon was The High Evolutionary's perfect creation, he just couldn't see it.
One of the reasons James Gunn didnt kill off any of the Guarding is because of possible cross over with DC. But i am not one to gossip so you didnt hear that from me.😊😅
I let this video run without the audio because I HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE YET!!!!!!!! Thanks for the video!
great movie
The rocket stuff will make this a hard revisit for me. It was really gut wrenching
This was a fantastic review done by you two! Thought the movie was great as well!
I was surprised that no one died. I thought Black Panther 2 was more emotional than GoG3
I love how Nebula has evolved. One of my favorite aspects of the movie. I also totally think she got a power upgrade since the first gotg. I think she'd win a rematch between her and Gamora after this film.
I want to know what’s next for these new guardians
The scream of rocket after lylla dying gutted me
I thought Mobious in TVA said that the stones "are never destroyed, they just go somewhere else," so maybe the new cosmic stone really is in Warlock's head, and this is its new form, and it will be addressed when he becomes the hero who blasts through the ultimate bad in secret wars, only to go crazy, and become the crazy older version of himself, that in the future his younger self traps in the soul stone. Would that mean...Warlock only loves himself and...throws himself off the cliff? Meh.
Once again, Marvel Studios did a fantastic job of misleading us into thinking Drax & Rocket might die when they actually survived
What a movie! What an adventure. What a rollercoaster of emotions man. What a everything 😭😭.
Its the end of an era 💔. Marvel is Back !
I haven’t cried at a marvel movie since endgame. This movie was amazing.
I could not stop crying during the movie, such a masterpiece.
I cried . Loved the movie
I loved this movie and the villain was top tier
The only thing that I didn’t like was when Peter was dying. That was the perfect way to kill him off but I know they didn’t want to end his character
