I just found your channel some weeks ago, and this is one of the best yoga I have come across on RUclips. Really love your way of teaching and how you share your joy, creativity and energy! Thank you so much! 🌸
Another joyous practice. I must have really been programmed as an occupational therapist and yoga teacher years ago to not allow the knees of the ankles. I see so many teachers sharing it your way and I have not had any issues with my knees in doing so. Thank you ❤
Taking a moment to appreciate your consistency even when traveling🙌 Reminds me of when I took frequent short trips and I didn't always take my mat, I would practice Asana on bathroom towels :D doesn't have to be fancy.
A few things for which I'm thankful: 1) I discovered your channel waaaaay back in the summer of 2020 and have participated in your classes since; 2) Even in a short class, you found a way to incorporate pigeon pose. I had my long run this morning and was - yes - thankful to have that pose afterward and even paused the video so as to elongate my own session. I hope you have yourself a wonderful weekend.
I'm so honored to share yoga journeys. I love to hear about yours - didn't you run the grand canyon recently?! And we love us some pigeon. Whenever I incorporate it I always think of the handful of people (yourself very much included) that love it as much as I do :)
@@KateAmberYoga . the honor, of course, is all mine as I really like your voice and wonderful cuing throughout the sessions. I indeed ran the Grand Canyon last month ( 46 miles in one day....oof!) but am fully recovered from the effort. Still running?
A Fantastic practice. Today was a very difficult day for me. I really needed a moment like this to rebalance me... To find myself again. Thank you so much 🙏 NAMASTE
Thank you so much for sharing time with me. I'm so sorry today was hard. I've been right there with you. As sure as the sun sets, it will rise. I hope you feel like your best self as soon as you can 🤍🙏
Thank you again! I like the way to explane things without going to fast. As a beginner it is hard to keep balance, and I notice that my feet can't get flat on the ground during downward dog. But I do get better with each class so I'm getting there 😄
It may help you if you slow the playback speed to 75% (or slower) when you do yoga videos. And also press pause when you want to hold longer, for a deeper stretch. 🙏✨
Thanks Kate really enjoyed this practice really a fantastic stretch great job beautiful scenery looks very relaxing u are very talented yoga instructor I love doing your technique and style feel great after every practice with you have a wonderful evening and see you next time 😊
I hear you! Ask yourself where you're tight. Is it: 1. The front of the hip of the extended leg. 2. The hamstring/back of leg of the bent leg. If #1. You might be team Sit A Lot (like me!). So opening up the front of the body will be your jam - so standing more, updogs, seal, upright pigeon pose, lunges, and backbends . If #2. That's tighter back of legs so dangle in a forward fold, or if you watch TV or read at night, do it in a single leg forward fold to stretch out the back of the legs. :)
@@KateAmberYoga I think I might be both. I love yoga squat so I was surprised this one was challenging. Great tips! I will try all of the above. Thank you!
Hey.. Thanks, it helps a lot. I ve a quick question, pls help me out. Im a regular mediation practisioner for more than 5 years. But im unable sit in cross legged more than 45 mins. My legs becomes tight, painful and numbness. Could you suggest me any yoga practice specifically to numbness legs? I wanna sit in meditation for long hours but my legs not supporting. Looking for your valuable response. Thanks in advance
Hi there! I am inspired by your meditation goals! I support you 100%. I think you have a few options: 1. A meditation pillow/bolster to raise your hips and it takes pressure off three knees. Even if you're able to sit easily in easy seat, or lotus, or half lotus. 2. Personally, I find it perfectly acceptable to switch front legs if you're in lotus or Burmese pose (easy seat). Or change seating completely. The human body isn't meant to stay completely static for hours in what may be mildly intense pose. So adjusting is natural, and doesn't make your meditation less spiritual or effective. 3. I've never personally tried this but compression socks will keep blood flowing consistently and could help with numbness. I know this isn't 'traditional' but wanting to give you option that help you reach your goal :) 4. This is more for me :) - I wonder how you're sitting. Seiza pose (legs under body), or Burmese or lotus/half lotus. Lastly, the more you sit in your meditation pose, the longer you will be able to sit. Your body will adjust. But there are ways (above) to make it more comfortable on your journey. 🙏 Feel free to ask more questions. I'm right here.

OMG I'm struggling with the pigeon pose 😩
Have you some tips to succeed it ! Many thanks from France 🤗
Pigeon pose can be a lot! Try with a block under your body or pillow. Or you can always bend you back leg off to the side for more of a stag pose!
@@KateAmberYoga many thanks Kate ! I'll try with a block 😊
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍽️
