    I love it, i have always thought it would be hard to build one like this. Now my son gets to have this headboard. Thank you for teaching/ showing how to build it easily.

    How many boards did you need total of the 1x3?

      +Evenflows1 Thanks! Ya, making a slatted headboard without a nail gun is a disadvantage but the pegboard/screw solutions holds up great.

    Can’t make this for under $50 is 2023. Pegboard is ridiculously priced.
    What a beautiful headboard I’m gonna make it anyway

      This video is like one of those lists grandparents keep showing how much a gallon of milk was in 1950.

    I'm new to woodworking and my wife wants me to make something like this for our bedroom. She doesn't want it as tall though, maybe half that tall. I am assuming I could just put the support across the bottom at 1/2 instead of the full frame like yall did? Basically making the top 1/2 of the chevron patter. Anything I need to watch out for being new to this? Also, it's for a king sized bed.

    I feel like the top not being secured to the wall would cause some movement?

    Is this for a king size? Or what would the dims be for that size?

    • @GrayHouseStudio
      @GrayHouseStudio  4 года назад

      We made it for our queen size bed. A king bed is 16 inches wider than a queen, so you would need to add 8 inched to both sides of the headboard.

    Hi could I ask what kind of wood you used? Also was it reclaimed or new?

    • @GrayHouseStudio
      @GrayHouseStudio  7 лет назад +1

      +Nikkala Ades it is the most inexpensive wood Lowes sells. We bought it new but it comes with rounded edges and a nice rough look. The boards are called Pine Furring Strips & we made a video a while back showing how we got the weathered look studiograyhouse.com/create-weathered-wood/

    Does the stain ever rub onto the pillows???

    • @GrayHouseStudio
      @GrayHouseStudio  6 лет назад

      Nope. We have never had the issue with the stain from our DIY headboard rubbing off on our pillows.

    Do you make n sell too? Wpuld love to buy this from you.seriously.

    • @GrayHouseStudio
      @GrayHouseStudio  4 года назад

      Unfortunately, we don't sell the headboards. It is one of those projects that is totally worth the time to make once and save a ton of money, but we don't think we could make much of a profit selling them.

    How tall is the actual headboard design itself?

    • @GrayHouseStudio
      @GrayHouseStudio  8 лет назад +2

      +Clayton Whittington the top of the headboard 60 inches from the ground and the headboard starts at the top of the mattress, 24 inches off the ground.
