So basically Goldberg will have a match against a smaller guy, who is a random jobber with no build, but won't wrestle against a smaller guy who isn't a jobber and has some sort of momentum behind him? What a fragile man he is.
Honestly, how would it have hurt Goldberg's heat if he had just come out and squashed Jericho when he was already demolishing jobbers for months? He'd only get MORE heat for silencing a braggart heel and get a PPV payday for merely a couple minutes of work. Shows what a clueless moron Goldberg was. I actually distinctly remember that Raven/Saturn match as being a brilliant capper to a great feud. The Kidman spot is especially great 'cuz it was a legit turning point for him, and it was a great piece of storytelling. Like, the WCW version of the Flock is a little watered down and Raven didn't have complete control over it, which is why you had guys like Horace Hogan and Van Hammer in there, but the general idea was always that Raven was this charismatic cult leader who built a group around himself of misfits, outcasts and losers that he could easily exploit by making them feel like they had a place to belong, when really it was just a way to feed his own fragile ego. The whole Saturn feud was great because it took one of the guys that wasn't a total loser and had him realise he was getting a raw deal, had him push back against the group, and overcome adversity to take the whole cult down. The Kidman spot was especially brilliant 'cuz through the whole feud, Saturn had been getting punished for pointing out the truth of how shit the Flock had it, but they were all too indoctrinated and cowed for fear of reprisal to resist. Then you have Kidman going up top for another hit job on Saturn like you've seen a thousand times before up to that point, but knowing what's at stake and that Raven losing means the end of the Flock, he STANDS UP FOR HIMSELF, and turns on Raven so he had a chance to be free! It's a really great little moment that conveys a lot of meaning and the resolution of YEARS of storytelling and character development in a way you don't see too often in wrestling. It's also little wonder that Kidman went on to be the real breakout star from the Flock after that one moment of rebellion set off his face turn. The whole Saturn feud was straight out of the ECW playbook, taking a lot of cues from the classic feud with Tommy Dreamer. As the culmination of everything, the match was a real master class in long-term storytelling, and a great example of why Raven is one of the great minds for wrestling psychology, as well as one of my personal all-time favourite wrestlers. The PPV may not have been worth going out of your way to see, but personally, I would recommend checking that match out, particularly if you can get the promo package that explains all the context going into it.
I was there that night. The reason the crowd chanted BS and threw garbage was that they didn’t announce the rule changes to us in the arena. So when there was a random pin fall out of nowhere, we didn’t know what had happened or how the match was over without a submission.
46:18 I find it so hilarious that Konnan forgets his headphones plugged in when he stands up. And there's that split second of "Oh shit! What did I break?"
Won't watch this until tomorrow evening, since my friend is busy tonight and we always watch these together. Can't wait for more warrior and hogan shenanigans. 2 huge egos in their own right. :P
Did Jay call him Ultimate Warrior (when Warrior was breaking the side of the War Games cage) and have to to bleep out the word Ultimate? Did WWE make him do that? 🤣
Popped at the Warrior appearance in the mirror doing the animation sequence when you guys were talking about how it would be cool for Warrior to appear all over the place etc.
I'm pretty sure the bump at 15:06 is the one that did Bulldog's career. He says it was from a bodyslam, and that's the only bodyslam he takes in the right area. He also doesn't bounce at all and looks in pain afterwards.
So I found the spot where Bulldog lands on the trapdoor. I think it happened early in the match. So Wright shoots Davey Boy off for a back body drop, and Davey does land on his hip, but he kinda rebounds the door. I might be kinda wrong, but that’s what the internet says. Great video, more than worth the wait. Can’t wait until the next upload
What a better way to spend my day before going to work then to have a bit of craic with the lads and watch some carney WCW bollocks. Thank you lads for all that you do. I needed a good laugh and as always you lads over deliver in a massive way. Can of coke for all of you lads
1:29:32 The STATE of Stevie Ray's bumping in this Thunder match. Bumping too early on that swinging neck breaker, not jumping high enough for that back body drop and forcing DDP to do most of the work. DDP cannot help this man. I can't speak to racism preventing him from getting pushed, but this kind of work won't help him either.
Hearing my favorite Irish lads use the term "North Cackalacky" in regards to my home state has just made the remainder of my year for me. (Lawrence Joel Veteran's Memorial Coliseum was also the place where I saw Tool live for the 2nd time, probably one of the best shows I've ever attended) Cheers fellas! Whopper review!
Great vid guys, loved it but have to say Bulldog was already a physical wreck before that match. His drug addiction was already out if control and he was bumping on his hip like Ric Flair throughout that match as his back was already knackered. Much like Jake Roberts claiming Honky Tonk Man injured his neck with the guitar shot and worsened his drug use, Bulldog used it as an excuse to continue to escalate his own.
I think that the use of the word “excuse” there is a tad insensitive. Even if you or I can’t know for certain the state of the men’s substance abuse issues at the time of their injuries, it isn’t tasteful to point and go “nuh-uh” at somebody’s addiction. Especially if one of them is dead, and can’t speak for himself.
18:25 "And at the end of July 2021, WWE rehired him. So DH Smith back in the fold!" And at the end of October 2021, WWE refired him without using him outside of a single dark match. So DH Smith back out of the fold!

Loved that feud and angle
In my top 3.
I was there that night. The reason the crowd chanted BS and threw garbage was that they didn’t announce the rule changes to us in the arena. So when there was a random pin fall out of nowhere, we didn’t know what had happened or how the match was over without a submission.
Best Lodi sign? Kidman and Juvi were forever being booked together so our boy showed up with this beauty, "Kidman Vs Juventud - Best Of 2,461'.
WCW was notorious for having wrestlers they knew wouldnt even appear on a PPV on their PPV posters.
He's gunna battery him for him, for his parents, for his fans and for the sacred Eagle feathers
This channel is my happy place.
46:18 I find it so hilarious that Konnan forgets his headphones plugged in when he stands up. And there's that split second of "Oh shit! What did I break?"
My Sunday is complete with a new OSW Review! Jay, V1 and OOC, I'm so pumped for this review! I already know it will be a banger! (Farty arm noise!)
Won't watch this until tomorrow evening, since my friend is busy tonight and we always watch these together.
Can't wait for more warrior and hogan shenanigans. 2 huge egos in their own right. :P
How much you wanna bet that Hogan somehow convinced them to start some of the smoke early, to make everyone else look dumb
Steiner with the little band-aid on his arm had me rolling lol
Nice to have this back. Now to watch it 10 times like I have every other episode.
Did Jay call him Ultimate Warrior (when Warrior was breaking the side of the War Games cage) and have to to bleep out the word Ultimate? Did WWE make him do that? 🤣
V1 knowing about some obscure megadeth is the best thing ever.
Popped at the Warrior appearance in the mirror doing the animation sequence when you guys were talking about how it would be cool for Warrior to appear all over the place etc.
Most love Maryland has gotten since the Art Donovan stole everyone’s hearts.
"How much does he weigh?" 🤣🤣
@@LilAlpo1 dude you beat me to it I was literally about to type that 🤣🤣🤣
I think you mean Art O'donnel.
"he looks like a business man".
“Oh Maryland, my Maryland”
The quality of the wrestling stays the same but OSW gets better each episode. Thank you lads.
Ah that's made my day. Can of coke to you brah!
I'm pretty sure the bump at 15:06 is the one that did Bulldog's career. He says it was from a bodyslam, and that's the only bodyslam he takes in the right area. He also doesn't bounce at all and looks in pain afterwards.
Yeah he definitely reacts like he's hurt there
It hurts to watch Davey Boy Smith taking all those moves and knowing how it affects him.
Great review, laughed my ass off multiple times.
This is the second episode in which V1 is shocked that Lee Marshall voiced Tony the Tiger.
"Shockingly agile", nice backhanded compliment for Norman Smiley
Glad it's back, this video vanished like Warrior, but with less smoke.
Bulldog landing on his feet for that Big Show chokeslam at 12:48 😂 the ultimate Kane bump
Great episode lads.
Nothing better than a win on Saturday (Port Vale) and watching OSW on the Sunday still hungover, proper cure!!
Loving the “the WCW” arc.
18:20 Nov 4th 2021 update: DH Smith future-endeavoured 😢 Hope he lands on his feet
Bulldog looked like Brutus Beefcake on this PPV, his muscletone had gone completely.
Thankful that we're finally getting fall brawl. If only Halloween Havoc synced up for this year's Halloween.
Maryland represent. Much love here for yall. I loved this episode. Another perfect one all the way through 💯 a winner is you!
That Terminator bit is fucking hilarious!
What a better way to spend my day before going to work then to have a bit of craic with the lads and watch some carney WCW bollocks. Thank you lads for all that you do. I needed a good laugh and as always you lads over deliver in a massive way. Can of coke for all of you lads
Schiavone's reaction when the phony Goldberg came out was great.
1:27:27 "get's naked, get's suddy" with the Mckodem animation was brilliant
OOC getting mad at Ernest Miller vs Norman Smiley Part 2, was great. He got so annoyed at this feud, he couldn´t finish his sentences.
RIP Davey, British GOAT
It's back! In pog form
1:01:46
Jay - "Massive 'we want Flair' chants."
V1 - "You know what that means? 'We don't want this'." 😂😂😂
Favorite part has to be watching Ric Steiner try to communicate. And then someone try to translate by clacking keys lol
Best move by far from lucha matches are their Tilt-A-Whirl Back breakers. Always so fast and snappy
Konnan's roley poley clothesline was great.
That RTE clip feeds my soul 😂 another barnstorming episode lads!
Hearing my favorite Irish lads use the term "North Cackalacky" in regards to my home state has just made the remainder of my year for me.
(Lawrence Joel Veteran's Memorial Coliseum was also the place where I saw Tool live for the 2nd time, probably one of the best shows I've ever attended)
Cheers fellas!
Konnan and Disco Inferno mentioned on their podcast that everyone knew about the trap door and they’d used it already in the weeks prior.
Never thought I ever seen the day where SoulCalibur would be in the video. Great Video all around, can't wait for Halloween Havoc!
If this arc doesn't end with Warrior vs Orlando Jordan I'll be sad
Someone watched ahead
Strong contender for "how does this match exist"
Man OSW makes my day with early drops.
18:25 "And at the end of July 2021, WWE rehired him. So DH Smith back in the fold!"
And at the end of October 2021, WWE refired him without using him outside of a single dark match. So DH Smith back out of the fold!
I’ve noticed that every single time we see Marty Jannety you guys comment on him being in great shape. Fair play to him staying in working shape
I loved Raven and his flock when I was a kid. Now he and his flock have more go-away-heat than X-Pac for me.
Raven's Flock were my jam back in my angsty teen days. When making my personal Boys Stable I have to actively work to not just make it Raven's Flock. Lodi is my bottom boy for sure.
a whole lot of my late 90s fashion sense was based on Raven
55:00 shout-out whoever turned that nightstick into some sort of magical wand that shootouts the Thunder logo... Nice!
This was my first ppv! My brothers and I saved up all our Allowance to buy it, watch it live that night. I remember loving it, we recorded it on vhs, and watched it over and over again.
This is the first time I’ve seen the entire card top to bottom since I was maybe 10. I honestly only remembered the wargames match. And easily see why i’ve never recalled the rest of it. Because it was shit!
Saturn Raven was day-sunt
Amazing video as always lads. Keep knocking it out of the park with each new video made....big bucket of coke all around (the soda not the wellness violation)
See, they fell down when the fog hits because they were taken out by Warrior's aura, not his wrestling. They were crushed by his pure energy. His foke. His destrucity.
I never thought my home state of Mary-land will appear on OSW. We've made it!
Mine too
1:22:28. Can someone explain to me why Piper attacked DDP, I thought they were supposed to be on the same team...
Kayfabe : Wanted a title shot, whomever gets the pin/submission gets the shot.
Shoot : No one knows what is actually going on.

Imagine a Salivating RABID DINGO eyeing up a plump BABY😃🐆 that's where my anticipation level is at for a Brand Spankin New O.S.W. Review
Waaarrrrrioorrrs!
Fun fact… the drink hall was drinking at havoc 98 WAS a tequila sunrise
Lads! I'm telling ya, this Batman intro is one of the best already, tied with the Bojack Horseman one!
The Intro from batman tas fits perfect👍👍👍

Knee lift to say, he had the last laugh
Norman smiley...definitely one of my favorites. Loved the wiggle. Remember once he scooped a guy to slam him and did a little spin and wiggle before dumping him. But screaming norman was the best version. Coming out in hockey gear for hardcore matches and getting battered while high pitch shrieking....😅
im glad this back Jay. We all have your back. Fav part is HEENAN on commentary
