Hello Ivanna, I have been selected for the interview for the PhD Program at AHO. Could you please tell me how many interviews are required for a PhD program at a Norwegian university?
I have a question. I saw in some univeristy websites that one entry requirement was bachelors degree of minimum of C or better. My girlfriend had a bachelors degree of D but she finished her masters with A as well as in the masters thesis. Would she still be eligible or because of her bachelors grade she would not be considered ? Thank you
The best way would to be to contact university with this question. But on a general thought, if she is applying for second master degree then it is not popular in Norway and common rule will lead you to grades from bachelor degree. But with A grade from her master’s she can apply for PhD in Norway.

Because August is Vacation season in the EU. And, can I apply for a PhD while I am doing my Thesis as an Intern with an extended contract?
Hi. Typically it takes about 4-6 months to get a PhD position. Important to know that in Norway July is a vacation season. Most likely you would need to finish your master first because your master thesis grade will be an important factor for the committee. Trying to land an internship could be a good idea, but do not count on it that much.

Dear Dr. Ivvana, Greetings! Could you please share a video with us on how to write a Research Proposal / Sample of Research Proposal that are liked or highly accepted by Professors of Norway. In what you have done PhD?
Hi Ivanna, many thanks for your informative video.. Based on your experience in Norwegian graduate schools, I was curious in knowing how employable my application might be if my academic CV contains a postgraduate degree from a well ranked European university, but the GPA is not more than B.. with only 2 publications (one of them was my master’s thesis published) and only 3 conference proceedings, as all my master’s projects are based on real companies and are also listed.. besides other skills such as (latex writing, statistics, and speaking 5 languages, with IELTS 7.5 and basic Norwegian A1 level).. However, I do work at a higher education institution but not as a teacher.. in fact I still didn't enrol to any graduate school or PhD program and this due to the fact that I am on process of doing my GRE test.

Hi. You need to fulfill requirements in the PhD position description and be yourself. There is no one rule, each university has both some common requirements (I talk about them in the video) and some specific requirements as well. Then each professor ( who will be then your supervisor) is looking for different characteristics in the person.

Hello, im looking for a Ph.D in biothechnology, but at the same time i would love to have teaching job with good salary so that i may live with parents,Is it possible there..please guide...
Hi. PhD in Norway is job with very good salary. If you get 4 years contract, you will be able to assist in teaching as well. There is also possibility to do teaching without PhD degree, more about that is in section about Assistant Professor: ruclips.net/video/Bz0PpRBRps8/видео.html
Hi. Typically 3 candidates are invited to the interview. If you were called as a first one out of 3 candidates, then waiting time is longer. After interviews with all candidates, if you are considered for the position, university will contact your contact persons. So the waiting time for receiving feedback from your contact persons will affect your waiting time. So it may take from couple of weeks to couple of months.
Since I am in the engineering, it is hard for me to give an accurate answer on this question. Most likely it is to continue your academic work. Searching for a Post Doc position. Or you need to be fluent in Norwegian to find some job outside of academia.

New video about admission to Norwegian master program, requirements and application process will be published on Thursday, 18 February.
Informative :)
I am currently a Masters's student in humanities and social sciences background in Norway i also want to be a PhD scholar in the future, possibly very soon. I just want to know how can I be a perfect candidate so that I can follow the rules from now onwards?
Hi. You need to fulfill requirements in the PhD position description and be yourself. There is no one rule, each university has both some common requirements (I talk about them in the video) and some specific requirements as well. Then each professor ( who will be then your supervisor) is looking for different characteristics in the person.
@@IvannasNorskLife thank you so much 😊😊

Please how long does it take to get a response from the university after applying for PhD, and also after the interview
@@IvannasNorskLife Hey Ivanna, so professors in Norway will contact my referees before accepting me?
@@nguyettoleanh9288 Yes, department administration will do that and it may take some time.
@@IvannasNorskLife thank you. I will be more patient!
Du snakker Norsk?
Hei! Ja. Jeg snakker norsk. Ikke helt perfekt men nok for å bo og jobbe i Norge
From where we can check that PhD position are open in Norway?
Link to the website is on the description of this video
What are the scopes for social sciences Ph.D. scholars in Norway after completing the study?
Since I am in the engineering, it is hard for me to give an accurate answer on this question. Most likely it is to continue your academic work. Searching for a Post Doc position. Or you need to be fluent in Norwegian to find some job outside of academia.
@@IvannasNorskLife thank you 😊😊😘😘, and does working frop out of acedemia contributes to be a phd scholar??

hi Ivanna, I have some doubts it will be great if you can help me with it , I have done my graduation in homoeopathy and post-graduation in that stream too from India, and I want to enrol for PhD.
Homeopathy jaisa kuch nahi hoga norway mai
Generally how much time committee take after an interview for the announcement of results in Norway?
3-6 months, but remember that on July and December people are on vacation, so do not count these months
And they contact references of all top candidates or each candidate applying for that position?
Thank you mam for your valuable guidance about it. I want to clarify my doubt about to grade conversion. I am from India and have done my MBA in international business, by doing my secondary research in MBA final semester, I am so excited to enroll myself in research via PhD.
How could I convert my percentage in grade?
According to Indian Education System my first division is counted as in A grade, so for this confirmation, Do I need to receive a certificate from my University?
The best way is to contact NOKUT organization or university where you want to apply for PhD
@@IvannasNorskLife Thank you Mam, I have dropped an email also to the University.
