Truthfully, what works for me is smoking some CBD. It calms the nerves and anxieties. Your reporting has that same calming effect.

When you have no other choice of action...Rest when the volcano rests and celebrate those days...then you have reserve to handle the all night shakes. This is what mothers have to learn with a newborn baby. The conditions handled properly builds strength, endurance and mastery of your fears and anxiety. Life training and growth for those who can embrace it.

@@debramoss2267 the east Coast MIGHT get a 2 hour warning. If it goes in the middle of the night 🤷🏼♀️ then who knows. 4/5 tsunami buoys have been offline for over a month in the Atlantic. Only one I believe is active is the one closest to La Palma.
Just before we saw the brilliant slow motion footage at the end of the video, we saw a glimpse of the real Bear with a happy face and brilliant smile. Stay safe and happy Bear!

Although it is interesting and [often] spectacular for us who are FAR away [in my case, in London], to watch, i'm aware of how tired you must all be on La Palma - how your sleep patterns must be disrupted by noise, worry and repeated Earthquakes.
So the news and renewed strength of activity must be VERY hard to cope with.

I keep having images of the pressure building as if there was a slip that capped off and blocked the flow and it had to push hard to burst back out again.

Seems like Everytime it calms down it is really building up to bigger bursts 😰
This is similar to how Geldingadalir behaved in Iceland this year. It tapered off and then returned with a few outbursts and then slowly fell silent. Cumbre Vieja is a different type of volcano and has more explosive power, so the highs and lows of activity will be more extreme. It's nothing to worry about, it's not going to suddenly blow up the whole island.

But you said it was tapering off, how are we going have faith in your words when everytime it becomes worse. Maybe you should say it is slowing down and stopping again.

The important thing is to guard yourself against toxic fumes and just wait the thing out. The constant expectation of the eruption ending is as stressful as any other aspect and it does no good to be constantly on edge in the hope that it will stop. This type of volcano is extremely unlikely to do anything dramatic but it is obviously very unpleasant to live near. Stay safe, keep your mask on.
BCB, perhaps on a video you can point to the area that you live at? You sometimes talk about how you feel earthquakes or show how much ash at your house. I'm curious of your approximate location. Gracious!
