Horrible call
This is one of the reasons it’s hard for me to watch college football watching a defensive player get penalized and ejected when the offensive player did the exact same thing
I don't watch football but its reminiscent of how the nba has turned the league to be more offensively focused
It was the offensive player that dropped his helmet into his your correct
@@masterroshimagazines4354 you didn’t watch last season.
@@MultiBearsfan54 lmao you're kidding right? A slight change in drawing contact doesn't make up for the rest of the offensively sided rules
@@masterroshimagazines4354 they made it a point of emphasis to call less fouls last season was more than watchable
Softer and softer every year..
So basically defense can’t play defense anymore.
Yup
The wr lowered his head...the wr should have been ejected for targeting of anything
They said during the game it doesn’t matter if the offensive player lowered his head. The defensive player should know. Like what!
That was simply a tackle.
In about 5 years, simply breathing on someone will be considered targeting. SMH
WTH... there was no way for the kid to pull up when already in motion to make a tackle.
The guy lowered his helmet whats the defender supposed to do??
Can offensive players get called for targeting?
They can but just like Offensive Pass Interference, doesn't get called often in comparison to defensive.
@@tristancampbell4941 I need to see the stats Campbell
@@user-rf5wo3ju9d Or you could just actually watch the game
@@tristancampbell4941 no stats to back up your comments is all I see
@@user-rf5wo3ju9d Oh, so you're just lazy then.
Bad call
If the WR doesn’t lower his head at the least second, it’s a clean tackle. Not fair at all. What is the safety supposed to do vs a runner who’s leading with his helmet lol
You’re right
WHAT?!
Is this even football anymore?
It went from full contact to partial contact, 10-20 years it will be flag football from how sensitive everyone is
Horrible call! Plays like this are going to happen, it’s football like it or not.
Such BS!
Can't spell FBS without it
Soft asf
Good hit Son
Offense of players reaction lead to that but either way gotta put face in numbers though it's scary as f
Ye I think it was targeting by the offense did the same thing only difference was the offense was weak
What?!! Terrible!!! Change that rule!!
Ejected tho wow! Just another way to control the games if you ask me 🤦
Guys chill out, you’re overreacting. It’s not like they’re in pads and a helmet and cleats to be protected for contact like this. And it’s definitely not a sport that’s voluntary either. Everybody that plays the sport is forced to unwillingly. It’s not like the players know that they’re going to get hit because they decided to play for their team. This is two hand touch guys. We don’t like contact in football. It’s not what the entire sport is based on, oh no. Don’t overreact 😉
# football taught me toughness and how to not give up when things are tough
so sad. this rule is out of hand! it should matter what offensive player does
Ain’t no way
Becoming impossible to watch sports anymore cant find them for one and the silly feminization of them for two
Dude turn his head
Bruh, these offensive players keep doing this to get people booted
Vote em out stop watching lets watch the viewership dwindle
That’s terrible.
good call
This is awful. Don't let the announcer influence you this was a horrible call.
Bunch of BS. I'll rather watch the WNBA than this soft brand of a ball.
Defense already had his head lowered aim to the body for a tackle the wr had enough time you look a throw his head down where his is. The defender was doing a text book talked he was leaping forward he can't adjust back when he's already falling down to tackle low. Wr fault bad call unfortunate timing
He would’ve hit chest if the offensive player never went head first, the defender went head down before the Clemson player, this should not be targeting, and was a dumb move by the offensive player, he put himself in the position for helmet to helmet contact
That’s why the SEC is the king of them all
At this point just play tag smh. The game of football is over.
The refs would rather make a bad call then a no call. Seems to be an increasing trend as of late, sad. Safety protocols has to be why they did it.
Personal foul yes. Targeting? Nah lol
That's a BS call body levels change before contact! That was a form tackle he needs to pick his head up before he breaks his neck. That's about it ok tackle
Who ranked Clemson #4?
BS call.
Dude.
😒 I’m done
Dam he went to grab his feet that is what is taught go for the feet he can’t run without feet
Oh yeah the game announcers are supposed to be unbiased but they sucked clemson duck all game !!
And I’m from Louisiana a lsu tiger fan
That’s trash!! Like everything else they are ruining the sport
👎👎👎
Lame
