I agree with Romania. The final arc adds so much to **spoilers **
Hinata. It’s all about how Hinata becomes Ninja Shoyo, how he forsakes the Little Giant title and becomes his own player. So much growth and it’s going waste because they don’t care enough to make 2 seasons more. Like a season 5 of 25 episodes completing the nationals and season 6 being post nationals would have been so much better. I am still hoping that they announce a season 5 reanimating the garbage dump and everything else that follows.😔
The part after this match was so crucial for fans who waited patiently for Hinata’s growth. Him meeting Oikawa in Brazil, Oikawa joining Argentina team, facing Japan in nationals. Kageyama backstory, Karasuno losing because of Hinata’s fever. My only gripe was I needed some more time with Karasuno post the Kamomedai match which just shows how great a team they were. Like such a wholesome and positive story but won’t get its due.
I watched ace of the diamond and it easily surpassed Haikyu to be my fav sports anime but rewatching Haikyu made me realise that Naah this is still at the top. Just that it shares the spot with Ace of the diamond now 😂

Yesssss, it's SO frustrating to me - I really hope that they would do like Demon Slayer and release the movie as a season and possibly add things in or at least extend past the movie to animate the final match as a season. Hinata's growth IS that final arc and to shorten it, condense it, leave it out - what a disservice to one of my favorite sports anime characters!
I do love Haikyuu so much, but I will agree that AOD gets time to devote and fall in love with its characters...I'm eagerly awaiting Season 4 of AOD for sure! Thank you so much for the comment and the kind words!

Romania and Haikyuu! This is such a blast to the past because I found you from your Haikyuu reactions back in the day :)
    MANGA SPOILERS AHEAD:
As a manga reader, this is my favorite match from the series, and I think that they did it justice to a degree? I enjoyed it less because I’m a manga reader and could see what they cut out (such as Inuoka’s backstory, the Kageyama stuff, and the Noya save), but I do love how they made the most of the time they had and innovated a lot using the animation. I’m pretty apprehensive on the rest of the series? There’s no way that they don’t adapt the rest of timeskip after this next (and “last”) movie because this series is so popular and makes so much money, but it sucks that we have no confirmation on when that will come. We also might not get Fukurodani vs. Mujinazaka which is a great match as well :( Here’s hoping we get a great adaptation from here on out!

Thank you so much for the comment and kind words! I've been looking forward to this movie for a while and just for any new Haikyuu content in general!
That is awesome about this being your favorite game! I think this movie is "fine" and serviceable, but I am disappointed because to me, the underlying message is the animation studios don't really care about the source material - it just feels like a "make it good enough for a cash grab and go," which is such a disservice to Furudate's material! But there are parts that are handled well.
      **MANGA SPOILERS**
To be honest, I am really not looking forward to the final movie based on this - there's no way they can make it JUST about the Kamomedai match without cutting a LOT to fill the time frame of an hour and a half and would mean they will likely cut the Fukurodani match entirely and I don't know how they can even fit in the last Brazil arc and MSBY game at all to do it justice. Just scared for the future of Haikyuu, but maybe I will be proven wrong.
Thank you again for the comment and kind words, though! There were parts of this movie I definitely did enjoy, despite my overall view of it!

To be honest, I really waiting your video about this Haikyuu New Movie. For me, Karasuno vs Nekoma is the most wholesome match in the entire Spring High.

love the movie and I cried several times though lol, maybe I’m a drama queen, love the last part of Kenma pov showing us 1st person pov and I could have passed out right there with him😂 agreed that this is too short
I think the reason why they decided to go with movie is because they’re low on budget and they don’t know how much people gonna pay attention to haikyuu in 2024

See, I think that the studio was just cutting corners and being cheap - Haikyuu is still INSANELY popular - I think they just didn't want to invest in the animators or do the work, so a short, quick cash grab it was. It was a fine movie, but I'm not sure I can support the final film, after seeing all the shortcuts done here. But there was a lot that could be enjoyed with this, at least! I hope the rest of Furudate's work gets the attention it deserves! Thanks for the comment!
